The MAGAs are a little confused by the squalid breakup of Trump and Musk. They don’t know what to do or who to root for, necessarily, though most seem to have picked a side. But there’s one thing they can all agree on: it’s all very manly. At least when it comes to the guy they’re rooting for.
Well, here’s my first real video for the new We Hunted the Mammoth, YouTube version. It’s a look at JD Vance’s rather silly attacks on childless cat ladies that turns into a critique of Republican notions of “family values.” As a bonus there are clips of cats being ridiculous and adorable.

It’s a sad day in Trumpland as our former grifter-in-chief has been hit with another barrage of indictments, these dealing with Jan. 6.
Anyway, I thought you all would appreciate a thread to talk about the indictments and whatever else catches your fancy.
Well, it was about time he got indicted for something. And then today he was arraigned. You are invited to offer your thoughts on this historic development below and no, that picture of Trump’s arraignment isn’t an AI-generated fake or anything.
Last week, Donald Trump introduced a set of NFTs in the form of “Digital Trading Cards” that were all badly photoshopped pictures of him, with the body of an especially buff Adonis, in a variety of different costumes, looking as heroic and resolute as the clearly underpaid graphic designers could make him. He was dressed up as, among other things, a superhero, a cowboy, an astronaut, and … a golfer. He took in $4.5 million selling the things.
So the FBI has raided Trump’s club/home/heist room-Mar-a-Lago and the ex-president is none too happy about it. “They even broke into my safe!” Trump complained in a press release that is real, yes he really said this. If this raid sends us crashing into a civil war, at least we ha a few laughs along the way.
If you’ve been reading my “week in woke posts you’ll know that a number of American right-wingers rooted against American athletes at the Olympics — because the athletes representing the US were supposedly too “woke” for their own good, more concerned with political correctness than with patriotism.
It’s time once again for our weekly catalogue of some of the unlikelier things that right-wingers are denouncing as “woke.” This week features a cameo from none other than Donald Trump himself.
