Author and anti-trans activist JK Rowling has announced she is launching a crisis center for female victims of rape and sexual abuse. The catch? Beira’s Place, as the center is called, won’t allow trans women to use its services.

Over on the “Gender Critical” forum on Reddit clone Ovarit, the regulars are discussing how much they hate the word “queer.”
Oddly, their main objection seems to be that it’s not the word “lesbian.”

So Graham Norton’s Twitter account has disappeared. Norton, the popular UK talk show host was last seen offering some seemingly uncontroversial opinions on trans issues that somehow did not meet the approval of Harry Potter mega-author and trans antagonist J.K. Rowling.

Does J.K. Rowling believe that trans people — or at least trans women — don’t deserve the presumption of innocence? That seems to be the clear implication of an op-ed she wrote for the Times (UK) today. But she is cagey enough in her wording that she can and probably will figure out a way to say, my goodness, I wasn’t saying anything of the kind.

So JK Rowling has just published a new novel and it’s causing some reactions! Written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, The Ink Black Heart tells the story of what the fuck I can’t read this, the typeface is too small for my Kindle.
