I‘ve gotten into the habit, while watching the news, of playing around with image filtering software on the internets. And I take a special pleasure in running pictures of Illegitimate-President-Elect Donald Trump through the weirder filters I have found or come up with myself.

Just a quick note to reassure regular We Hunted the Mammoth readers that this blog hasn’t turned into a #ResistTrump-only blog — despite what it might look like at the moment.
The House has now joined the Senate in voting for the legislation that could pave the way for the GOP’s plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare). The GOP says it will have the final repeal bill drafted by January 27th.
In other words, get ready to fight for the ACA as if your life depended on it. Because it literally might.
Set aside pee jokes for a few minutes and call your senators about Ben Carson, Trump’s terrible pick for Housing and Urban Development.
Trump may be going off the rails, but the hearings continue. So we need to keep calling.
#ResistTrump today by calling your Senators and urging them not to vote for former Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State.
The senate hearings for Donald Trump’s terrible cabinet picks start today with wannabe Attorney General Jeff Sessions. #ResistTrump today by calling your Senators and urging them not to vote for Sessions.
This week, as most of you are undoubtedly aware, the GOP is trying to ram through Trump’s cabinet picks without giving senators or the Office of Government Ethics enough time or information to properly vet them, much less “extreme” vet them.
Call your senators TODAY to tell them you think this isn’t right.
[NOTE: This post updated on 1/10/17 with some schedule changes.]
It’s going to be a busy week, so let’s break it down day by day.
Popular-vote-loser Donald Trump got his official briefing on Russia’s hacking of the election. In what we can only assume was an attempt to counteract Trump’s brilliant plan to flat-out lie about what was in this briefing, the US intelligence agencies released the declassified version of the report yesterday as well.
Next week is going to be a busy one: Republicans are trying to push Trump’s terrible cabinet picks through the confirmation process in a big hurry, so we all are going to have to step up our calling/writing congress game.
