There were way too many amazing screenshots of self-confident mansplainers of women’s bodies and sexuality to fit in my post on r/NotHowGirlsWork the other day. So I’m doing another one. Like right here, and right now. It’s the very post you are reading at this moment!
Today, some amazing screencaps from social media documenting what happens when guys who slept through sex ed try to explain women’s sexuality to women. As you’ll see, these were all captured in the wild and reposted on the NotHowGirls work subredddit — an amazing source for this kind of thing.
So Time magazine has labeled greatest-of-all-time gymnast Simone Biles as the “Athlete of the Year,” not so much for her athletic prowess, which is considerable, but for taking herself out of several Olympic events when she knew she wasn’t mentally prepared to compete — thus starting a national conversation about athletic competition and mental/physical health.
I saw this in the Men’s RIghts subreddit the other day and I almost wept with joy. Because here, in the wild, was a man mansplaining mansplaining.to feminists.
In this age of COVID and QAnon, you might not think conspiracy theorists would have any trouble finding new things to theorize about.
Scanning the headlines on the Men’s Rights subreddit today, one of them popped out at me: The Lives of Men (Poem by Me). I haven’t read much poetry by MRAs recently, so I had to click on it and I can’t say I was disappointed. I expected the worst, but somehow the poem in question was even worster than that. We’re talking MGTOW Cooking bad.
Today, a lovely rant from a very angry dude on the Men’s RIghts subreddit. And the regulars there liked it so much they gave it 200 (net) upvotes.
