At this point in a normal pledge drive, I would be taking a moment to thank everyone who has donated and nudging anyone who hasn’t to add what they can. And I do want to thank all of you — those who have provided financial support and those of you who have offered support in other ways. You are all very generous; some of you extraordinarily so.

When I checked in with you all a few days ago, donations were coming in slowly and it looked like they would fall far short of what I need to keep this blog going. But thanks to a wave of donations since then we’ve gotten very close. If a few more of you can donate over the next few days, we’ll get there!
