Women sure do love drama, amirite fellas?
That, in a nutshell, is one Men’s Rights Redditor’s explanation for the popularity of feminism amongst women. These women don’t give a shit about abstract ideas like equality and justice; they just get a rush from playing the victim and pushing feminism on hapless men.
It’s hard to overestimate the degree to which Men’s Rights Activists cause their own problems. Consider this tale of workplace woe, in which a man paranoid about “me too” accusations manages to completely alienate a new employee whose only crime was to offer him a hug.
Wikipedia faces a deeply rooted man problem, the problem being that they have proportionately way too many of them writing and editing the site. Indeed, a 2018 survey found that 90 percent of Wikipedia editors are men; only 8.8 percent are women.
It’s International Women’s Day, which means it’s also, according to Men’s Rights Activist logic, International “Why doesn’t anyone give a shit about International Men’s Day” Day. In a thread on the Men’s Rights subreddit, an assortment of MRAs have been trying to hold someone responsible for the terrible misandry of no one caring about their day, which isn’t until November anyway, on the same day as the vastly more important World Toilet Day.
Today is the second day of Women’s History Month. Which means it’s time for the men of the Men’s Rights subreddit to start whining that there’s no Men’s History Month.
Nicholas Alahverdian — former “Judicial Accountability” point man for A Voice for Men and suspected serial rapist – is in the news again. The last time we checked in on Alahverdian he had just been arrested in Scotland, where the Rhode Islander allegedly fled after faking his own death in an attempt to escape rape charges in Utah and possibly three other states. He’s already a convicted sex offender. In Scotland, Alahverdian — also wanted on fraud charges — apparently spoke with a fake posh British accent that sometimes gave way to an American accent when he was drunk.

So this is definitely one of the stranger posts I’ve ever seen on the Men’s Rights subreddit, which is really saying something, and I’m inclined to say that it’s all bullshit. I mean, I don’t necessarily doubt the body dysmorphia; I doubt the explanation. And I suspect you will too.
