With professional misogynist and accused human trafficker Andrew Tate out of the picture at the moment, it seems as though neo-Nazi troll Andrew Anglin is vying to become something of a Tate replacement in the affections of troubled young men, spouting reactionary Red Pill “wisdom” about women and giving advice to young men not altogether different from that proffered by the other Andrew.
Sometimes he sounds like a fundamentalist, railing against “satanic, rainbow America” and pimping the Bible.
Sometimes he sounds like an incel obsessed with Evo Psych.
And sometimes, he sounds like he’s channeling A Voice for Men.
Anglin has not exactly made his desire to recruit lonely men and incels a secret. Way back in 2016, he announced plans to launch local chapters of what he called Stormer Book Clubs that would not only provide firearms training “to prepare for the coming race war” but also help young men to “hunt and capture your own women as part of the [club’s regular] operations.” Minus the Nazi overtones, his advice at the time could have come from any pickup manual.
Anlin has some similarities with Tate that go beyond his reactionary takes on women. Both are bald. Both are named Andrew. But there are a few differences between Tate and Anglin as well, perhaps most notably their respective social media reach. While both were welcomed back to Twitter by Elon Musk after lengthy bans, Tate had millions of followers; Anglin, despite his notoriety, has less than 13 thousand.
Right now, the biggest advantage Anglin has over Tate is that he’s not currently in jail. But that could change if international authorities ever manage to track him down and arrest him for trying to evade nearly $15 million in judgments against him for harassment.

I doubt anyone with the kind of clout that matters is looking for Anglin very hard.
Foreign governments are not about to criminalize failure to pay civil judgments rendered in other countries. Which are all I’m aware of.
Didn’t he go to Thailand or some Asian country, insert himself into a local tribe and try to marry one of the kids?
I must be delusional or a deranged pervert. The woman I was speaking of previously is over 30 and I found her plenty attractive. Despite deciding to shift gears to friends, I still do. But hey, that’s my personal view of the world and it can’t possibly be as important as Anglin’s. We know so because he said so.
Whatever…
Isn’t he like 5’0 tall, though? It’s pretty weird he’s bringing up male height .
Andrew Anglin reminds me of my neighborhood movie theater: they both do a lot of projecting.
.45
You have already given yourself away as an obvious aberration and a violation of nature with this: friends with a woman?! The very idea. /s
Gee, it is almost as if reducing sexuality to ‘strictly reproduction’ is incredibly reductive and kind of messed up and leads you to really fucked up mindsets. And makes you an asshole*.
*In addition to the truckload of other things that make Anglin an asshole.
Does he, in a tortuous way, say that pedophilia is ok in the first tweet !?
And also “a man’s height is an indicator of social dominance” : is he not on the kind of not tall side himself ? According to his own standard, he is not a social dominator, no ?
@occasional reader, you didn’t say “have a nice day” 🙂
but yes, apparently Anglin is on the short side, according to this Atlantic piece from 2017 (which has a lot of background detail on the guy):
this is still a lot taller than me, for example! but not exactly a strapping height, no…
On Friday in Virginia a 6 year old boy brought a gun to school and shot his teacher – on purpose.
Here’s a video that gives hope. Reading the comments is interesting. There’s a lot of “I went down the same edgelord path in my teens but grew out of it too.” They say “the algorithm” pushed a lot of far right content into their feeds. I hate to sound conspiratorial but … ? Also, the latest buzzword will soon be “national divorce”. Some “white pill” guy put it out there and just see, in a few weeks it will be making the right wing rounds.
Came here to also mention Anglin’s height. Even 5 feet 7 inches, as Mish says he claims to be, is below the average height for US men (5 feet 9 inches). I’ve been hearing lately about a painful, complex, expensive medical procedure that will lengthen legs. Maybe Anglin is considering that procedure. Maybe he’s already undergone that painful, complex, expensive operation.
These guys all sound like members of a hate cult. They all spout the same nonsensical unchallenged hate rhetoric in their echo chambers until they’ve indoctrinated themselves with absurdities. They sound like pedophiles with their breeding underage women crap.
@milotha:
Well, Anglin is a professed Nazi. You don’t get much more hate-centric than that.
I seem to recall similar rhetoric making the right wing rounds back in, oh, 1860 or so …
LOL, has this dude ever seen pictures of Jill Filipowicz or Sanna Mirella Marin? These are very beautiful and leftist women who are over thirty. Did he look at himself in the mirror? God, he’s just walking.
I was not aware “healthy masculinity” equalled “murdering women for attending college”…
About his pedophilia, while living abroad he purchased a 14 year old to bring back to his room for the night, according to an expat.
This article is from 2017 and may have been posted about here when it first came out but WOW does it explain a lot. And yeah, my memory served me right. He went to live amongst tribal people in the Philippines where he chose two 16 year old Muslim girls as brides and was raising money to buy livestock as their dowries.
He said on a podcast from that country that Western Capitalism and Christianity was ruining the Philippines and “white people should be bred out” because they f-up every place they go.
In high school he was progressive, vegan and vocally anti-racist. Then he did a lot of drugs; LSD, ketamine, shrooms, coke and … Robitussin (there’s something called “robo-tripping) and shortly after that started spiraling into self harm. He would bang his head against walls and on cement continuously. He begged people to beat him and would not fight back.
But major trigger warning if you read this. It’s extremely disturbing.

“Anglin didn’t date again in high school and sometimes tried to kiss other boys, including one black student he especially liked. Whether this behavior was authentic experimentation or just for shock value, it’s notable in light of the extreme homophobia Anglin has since expressed on The Daily Stormer and elsewhere. He has advocated, for instance, throwing gays off buildings, isis-style.”
If we acknowledge that sex is about reproduction, then we would only get it two days a month.
But luckily sex is about pair-bonding and fun too. Hence the popularity of contraceptives.
@Love is All We Need
It’s so weird that the article is styled as “how did he descend from this lovable kid to Nazi”, but then proceeds to answer that Anglin was always bad news. His entire high school biography reads like he was auditioning for the yearbook slot of “most likely to be a stormtrooper.”
TV’s full of sci-fi misogyny movies today. Flick 1: guy who used gizmo to mentally manipulate wife, who subsequently committed suicide, now a fugitive, seeks to have his charges “fixed” by a superrich capitalist in exchange for more gizmo services. Along the way, uses a pretext to pressure a kiss from a younger woman. Flick 2: workaholic who neglected his wife, who subsequently committed suicide, uses spaceship to go looking for her lost soul in Hell, dragging along unwilling passengers. Flick 3: space guy stalks, then kidnaps space woman to keep her in his space basement, then the fusion reactor in the boiler room nearly blows up.
The guys in Flick 1 and Flick 3 are treated sympathetically. The one in 2, on the other hand, gets what’s coming to him. Twice.
There’s always wanna-bes trying to cash in. I don’t recall Tate preaching the Bible, though, what with his sex empire. And Tater did openly acknowledge his part-African genes, plus having Muslim friends, so he wasn’t out there preaching race war. He’s all about the women, cars, and money. Plus he was a legit athlete.
I suspect if he was to catch on, he would already have. He may be a smidge too Nazi to attract big-time attention. See the number of Twits following each.
@45: Glad you and the date have become friends! Possibly not the outcome either of you were looking for, but the more friends the better. May you help each other in your life in future (and I’m sure she can advise on the next women you date).
@Occasional: I can’t read it as anything but pedophilia, or at best extreme sleaze for dating barely-legal girls.
@Mish: I’m shortish for a woman nowadays at 5’3″+ and a man I don’t have to turn my neck up to see is considered really short. The PUAs mock any man under 6′, so even his supposed 5’7″ is way short by their standards and the US average. He’s short. Like his homie Adolf.
Even Filipino men average 5’4″, so he’s not tall there either! I certainly feel taller when I’m in the Asian stores here, but the men are still taller than me.
@Love Is All: Yikes. Not to armchair diagnose, but it sure looks like he certainly needed counseling for the self-harm and wanting to be beaten. Someone should have thought “gee, maybe this kid needs help since he’s bashing his head against walls?”
As a snarky layperson, I first thought “Is taking tons of drugs and giving yourself head injuries good for your brain?” Depending on how many times and how hard he’s smacked his head, he might have mild CTE like football players.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/chronic-traumatic-encephalopathy/symptoms-causes/syc-20370921
Quote: “In early life between the late 20s and early 30s, the first form of CTE may cause mental health and behavioral issues including depression, anxiety, impulsivity and aggression.”
I skimmed the article. Double yikes. His father runs gay bars while being ostentatiously Christian, and he also believes in the reptoid aliens. I can hear Grandma (born 1898, way before PC was a concept) muttering “Nuttier’n a fruitcake”.
@David: Love the caption!
@Surplus
Welcome to why I don’t watch TV, and avoid movies unless curated/previewed by friends I trust 😐 I think I can count on one hand the movies and TV shows I’ve seen that _weren’t_ rampantly sexist.
@Cyborgette
You mentioned you were Jewish. This young progressive Jewish woman explains how even she was sucked down the extreme right-wing rabbit hole because … algorithm. She said it started innocuously with some centrist content, then “light right” and then every time she clicked on and watched a video, more and more extreme videos would show up. She got sucked in and started believing. Why is the internet pushing this content? It seems like someone, some thing, some organization or institution is behind it. I’m not buying that it’s just a neutral algorithm. Someone programmed the algorithm to do this.
@ Big Titty Demon and GSS ex-noob
Again, I appreciate the kind words. I am unfortunately rather new to the world of friends and dating, or at least these types of friends, the let’s just hang out, go shopping together, get something to eat, watch Netflix togther, etc, etc.
I can’t really take much credit though. This woman is an extroverted social butterfly and although she hasn’t been in the neighborhood much longer than me, has built herself a little network of friends that apparently I am now part of. I have spent most of the last couple of weekends with her and another of her friends, we’ve messaged each other every day… I had to double check with her to confirm that she isn’t trying to backdoor her way into a relationship through the so-called friendzone. Not used to this kind of thing.
And yes, although she hasn’t intentionally gone out of her way to couch me or anything, she does have some advice for me. For example, I don’t want to go into detail, but the other day she was poking fun at something I realized was actually related to childhood trauma. By making fun of it and suggesting how to do better, she is doing me a service. (She thinks it a mere personal quirk and I am not comfortable explaining otherwise at this point. She’s not my therapist and doesn’t need to deal with that)
In short, she seems to enjoy my company, loves that I listen to her explain her areas of expertise, and is helping me understand my shortcomings. I am very happy with this, even though it was not the original aim
