I want to offer my deepest thanks to those who have responded to my urgent fundraising appeal — with donations, and by helping to spread the message.
But we’re still well short of the money I need to keep We Hunted the Mammoth running. If you haven’t donated yet, please give what you can. Your donations are what makes it possible for me to do this blog.
You can also give by Venmo at David-Futrelle-1.
If you have donated already, please once again accept my profound thanks. Your support means everything to me.
David
gave $10
Sent you 20 dollars. I hope you reach your goal soon!
Sent a bit. Hope it helps.
I recall this was a bit of a sore point last time, but how short are we of reaching the needed funds? I mean, are we halfway? 90%? Some info would help in making decisions as to whether or not to shell out some extra cash
Here’s another thought: gift cards.
I’m in dire need of cash right now myself, but Go Fund Me and PayPal take out fees and stuff, so I’m having people send me Amazon gift vouchers or local/national store cards or Visa gift cards. No fees, and I can buy whatever I want without having to wait for the money to clear hurdles.
Because David also needs a place to live and food for himself and the cats. I got a $100 AMZ card from a friend last week and used it up the same day.
@David: Post another kitty picture, that always helps! Even if people can’t afford to send you money, it means you’ll brighten their day.
This is the internet. There can never be enough cat pix. I don’t make the rules.
5 dollars probably isn’t much, but it’s the best I can do for now.
Monthly donation set up. I hope it helps, David!
@.45 – Why a sore point? I think that would be a good idea. E.g. putting up a chart of what his goal is and what’s been given so far.
(I randomly remember a school fundraiser having a thermometer picture for that. As if donations made things warmer.)
Anyway, it’s the weekend, so I don’t expect David to see this now, but just to say I appreciate your blog! I put a small donation in and I hope the pledge drive goes well.
Just donated $10. Been reading for years, and this is the first time I’ve been able afford to, even though it isn’t much.
