Two years ago, the infamous pickup artist Roosh Valizadeh announced that he was giving up his life of sinful fornication and getting himself right with God. Or at least right with a right-wing God, whom he apparently met in person after taking a megadose of ‘shrooms. (No, I’m not kidding.)
Now, instead of penning rapey pickup manuals, he writes posts on his blog with titles like “I Lived Most of My Life Under Demonic Influence,” “There is No Identity Without Christ,” and (somewhat unexpectedly) “Why I Don’t Trust American Dentists.”
Guess who else he doesn’t trust? The Jews.
Roosh has hated on Jews for a while now, and at one point he even got one of his tweets banned in France for promoting an antisemitic ASMR video. But he’s now getting serious about his antisemitism, blaming Jews for “most modern evils” from fornication to the Reformation.
In a recent post, Roosh reviews a book called “The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit” by a Catholic writer named E. Michael Jones, described by the Anti-Defamation League as a man “obsess[ed]” with “the damage that he believes Jews are inflicting on the Catholic Church and western civilization.”
Roosh’s book review — basically a series of long quotes from Jones’ book interspersed with relatively brief bits of editorializing from Roosh — blames Jews for everything from the Russian revolution to internet porn, and even for Roosh’s own fornication-heavy previous life.
If you decide to turn away from God, there will be a Jew to catch you with one of his degenerate movements, pseudo-intellectual ideologies, or money-making schemes. I fell for the Jewish trick of sexual liberation and paid dearly for it. Many others fall for greed, cosmopolitan living, new atheism, pornography, or the self-glorification that comes from Jewish-run social networking and dating apps. I must conclude that Jews are God’s punishment to those with weak faith. If you stray too far from God, you in essence become a Jew.
(Emphasis mine.)
In another section of the review, Roosh declares that:
Once you learn how to recognize Jewish names and physiognomy, it doesn’t take long to see that just about every moral degradation under the sun is spearheaded by Jews. There are certainly gentiles involved in such movements, but if Jews were wholly absent, many social revolutions and degeneracies would simply not exist.
There are a lot of similar proclamations in Roosh’s post. We “learn,” among other things, that:
Jews hate manual labor. … Unless you do manual labor, it could be argued that you are Jewish in character. …
In a society without tradition, rootless Jews can flourish. Their very first task when parasitizing a new nation is to break down the traditional order …
While many men have fantasies about defeating Jews or ridding them from the land, understand that they would never have gained power in the first place if people stayed close to God. Without faith, a man will not be able to resist the traps that the Jews set out for him, so the solution to constrain the Jew becomes a personal and then societal decision of faith.
Roosh is really cranking the antisemitism up to eleven.
Couldn’t he have found a God who was somewhat less of an asshole?

Because why take responsibility for your actions and acknowledge your own hypocrisy when you can just blame it all on demons?
Fundamentalist Orthodox Christians and Catholics bonding over antisemitism can put thousands of years of schism aside when hating a favorite scapegoat, evidently.
Both of those are longstanding antisemitic tropes.
Apparently a group that has worshipped the same God for longer than Christians have is too far from God.
Hmm. Is that a permutation of the stereotype that all Jews are rich?
To be fair, I do want to break down the traditional order, but that’s because the “traditional order” is white supremacist patriarchy and oppressive, so I think it is in the best interest to overturn it.
Probably that combined with the “scholar” stereotype.
He knows Jesus is Jewish right?
@Lainy
He probably has some excuse for how Jesus isn’t really Jewish, I’ve heard multiple such excuses from evangelical Protestants and it wouldn’t surprise me if fundamentalist Orthodox Christians have similar ones.
@naglfar
I never understood that. If Jesus was a Christian that means he’s worship himself.
Just when I think that maybe he’s about as terrible a person as he’s ever going to be, he manages to find yet more ways to be terrible.
And his life kind of sounds like it just generally is miserable, and he’s made so many other people miserable by being a rapist AND dispensing terrible life advice.
I still remember a decade ago when he was convinced he was cool, and I wonder what the heck young-but-still-terrible him would make of still-terrible-but-also-miserable him.
Young MRA types, this sad excuse for a human could be your future. You don’t want this to be your future. Get out of the rabbit hole before it eats you alive.
So, not only is Roosh a misogynist and an anti-Semite, but he’s also an anti-dentite?
I’m sorry, what kind of manual labour does Roosh think he does? Last time I checked, blogging from your mom’s basement is in fact not a blue collar job…
I mean… my Jewish ancestors had roots. You’ll never guess how they had to become rootless, go to a new nation, and put down new roots. There’s no way anyone could possibly see the answer coming, it’s simply not seeable.
Nazis. It was Nazis.
But sure. It was totally their fault.
@Naglfar, Karalora
Uh oh, I hate manual labor (although it doesn’t mean I don’t do it) and I’m a scholar. I think I just need a slightly more cartoonish nose and then I auto-get 1,000,000,000 dollars to donate to shady libtard causes.
How much manual labor inoculates you from having a Jewish character, do you reckon? Like if you ever had a manual job once, a summer job on a farm in high school, is that good enough?
He’s taking it to heart — but is he switching jobs? Nah.
Does Roosh’s labor to create rape manuals count as manual labor.
I do not believe that there are many people who love manual labour. The results, certainly, but the process… not nobody, but I don’t think many people view Sisyphus’s task as aspirational.
Re: manual labor
The origin of the stereotype is probably that (IIRC) Jews in medieval Europe were forbidden from soldiering, farm labor, or anything else that could give them access to weapons. IOW, not our fault, but you know goyim; it’s always “Stop hitting yourself!”, never acceptance of their own complicity.
Also though, notice how hating manual labor as “Jewish character” also covers being disabled?
That’s deliberate. Nazi-style antisemitism sees Jewishness, disability, and queerness as all part of the same thing, all “weakness” and “impurity”. More extreme versions see morality as also being weakness, and consider the moral commandment parts of Christianity to be Jewishness-influenced and not worthy of white people. Hitler himself had beliefs in that direction IIRC – and it’s part of why I tend to be skeptical of self-identified Satanists, even though I basically hate Christianity.
@Big Titty Demon
More than 8 days? There are a bunch of holidays that last that long.
You may also need to buy a tallis, I bought one some years ago and later made more money so there may be a correlation. Patience helps.
@Cyborgette
I think that’s where many of the stereotypes come from, like the stereotype of being corrupt bankers (since Christians were banned from moneylending and it was one of the only jobs Jews could hold) or more recently the idea that we are creating porn for nefarious reasons (once again, market niche that some American Jews got into in the 20th century because Christians wouldn’t do it).
I’m skeptical of a lot of Satanists as well, because I have seen enough that can’t seem to distinguish between worshiping Satan and supporting evil things in the world and that either ironically or unironically support alt right stuff.
Jews hate manual labour? I guess he’s never heard of kibbutzim.
I wonder if anyone has pointed out to him that his religion is just a new source of the endorphin rush he used to get from sex and drugs?
Roosh shunning Jews and becoming buddy-buddy with God doesn’t appear to be saving him from moral (and dental) decay. He’s more of a garbage fire than ever.
Once you deliberately train yourself to see boogeyman everywhere, it doesn’t take long to see that they’re everywhere! Amazing! Congratulations, Roosh, you just re-invented the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.
I have a feeling that “Jewish physiognomy” is an imaginary bucket into which Roosh throws every feature he personally finds weak and unattractive, from curly hair to small-boned men, regardless of whether it has anything to do with Jewishness. Anybody who does something he doesn’t like, he’ll find an excuse to throw them into the bucket. He himself, of course, is exempt from his own stringent standards.
Ha! Yes, it is the Jews fault that Roosh believed a myth that he helped perpetuate, and thought that teenage and very young women would find a creepy aging bar hopper attractive because FINE WINE and EVOLUTION and HYPERGAMY. Jesus Christ, is it not possible for these people to take any responsibility for themselves.
@Moggie: arguably the kibbutzim movement is partially a response to the romantic era anti-semitism Roosh seems to be espousing.
@Lollypop
Although it wasn’t Jews that did it to him, I do think Roosh’s recent shift is attributable to his belief in that myth. He convinced himself that he would age well, would still be attractive to young women, and could keep being a pickup artist. It broke his world view and caused a midlife crisis when that turned out not to be the case, and random women no longer wanted to fuck him, so he immediately sought another path that would allow him to keep the misogyny and antisemitism but wouldn’t be contingent on his attractiveness to young women, and took the fundie path.
Side note: I’ve never thought Roosh was very attractive to begin with, so I’d imagine his tales of seducing women were mostly exaggerated anyway.
@Cheerful Warthog,
Depends on the kind of labor, I think. A nicely made patio, for example, can make the actual labor involved worth it and enjoyable – to a point, anyway. What reward the worker gets at the end of the work undoubtedly plays a role on how much they enjoy the labor part.
AFAIK some pagan-leaning neonazis regard Christianity as foreign and detrimental to white/European people, and possibly even a Jewish plot to destroy white people’s cultural strength, their connection to gods etc.
Also, AFAIK the spread of Jewish communities from the Mediterranean towards northern Europe was historically sort-of associated with the spread of Christianity. IDK if there’s actually any causal relationship here? Some random non-expert thoughts here.
In antiquity, early Christianity, like contemporary Judaism, was primarily a faith of “rootless cosmopolitans”, spreading via trade routes from city to city, with little effect on the old-fashioned tribesmen living in nearby rural villages. Also, it took centuries for the two Abrahamic religions to even become clearly distinct from each other. The main practical difference was that Jewish identity was tied to blood heritage, and thus less effective or less interested in proselytism. Christians were the first ones to convert Roman imperial elites, then Cermanic and Slavic elites, and get the necessary institutional backing to effectively convert rural populations.
European societies eventually became dominated by Christianity, but Jewish communities, particularly in cities, were highly able to resist Christian conversion, as long as they weren’t physically murdered or driven out. It seems Jews were allowed to exist in certain socioeconomic niches, for one reason or another. Probably the growth of cities and trading networks in northern Europe during middle ages, which often facilitated the spread of Christianity, was even more of a requirement for the spread of Judaism and Jewish ethnic culture.
Ah yes, the jews are responsible for Roosh being a serial rapist.
He claims to be Orthodox Christian. His views are ANATHEMA to the Orthodox Christian teachings I learned directly from my Orthodox Christian priest father.
He has co-opted Orthodoxy as a way to justify his misogyny and racism the same way that “folkish” Heathens in the United States are a beard for white supremacist misogyny.
