MGTOW conspiracy of the day: Elites are “infecting” corporations with women to deliberately destroy the economy

Women, destroying things as usual

Here’s an intriguing, if slightly confusing, conspiracy theory I found in the MGTOW subreddit today from a commenter who’s convinced that women are allowing themselves to be the “useful idiots” in a vast and seemingly nonsensical plot to destroy the world’s economy.

Take it away, MuchIndependence:

I think all the tech tycoons and Wall Street sleazebags that backed Biden realize already that infecting corporations and politics with women is going to lead to a large-scale crash of the global economy, and they’re pushing it to the brink to profit hugely off the destruction.

Now, it goes without saying in MGTOW circles that women are inherently incompetent and driven to destroy men at work with #MeToo complaints, so, as MGTOWS see it, having too many women in a company is basically economic suicide.

But you may be wondering why exactly the rich elites would want to destroy the economy. Well, says MuchIndependence, because they know how to make money in the midst of chaos.

Regime collapse is where supremely wealthy Soros got his start. All those oligarchs that own Russia and the old satellite states got their start while the Union was collapsing. Societal collapse is a great way to make a massive profit if you can foresee the opportunity.

I think the current push to get women into every position of power/authority is a play to create a new collapse without needing a world war (which is bad because it reduces the number of consumers) and in the aftermath the people that have been positioning themselves all along are planning to divvy the world up between themselves while the rest of us get downgraded from middle class tax mules to faceless serfs.

Maybe it sounds crazy but hey we’re in crazy times…

No, it doesn’t sound crazy, exactly. It just sounds like the same stupid nonsense one usually hears from MGTOWs taken up a notch or two. So, naturally, MuchIndependence got several dozen upvotes for his little theory and a bunch of comments from dudes agreeing with him.

“If you want to derail a society/ country/ civilazation: rally up the women” wrote GoodMan_Gone, the most verbose of the repliers.

Women have a far greater heard mentality then men do. … By means of gvt, education and media feminists have managed to get under the skin of women. Women believing getting to the workforce, having useless education and screwing around like there’s no tomorrow is a good thing for them. … Femism I see as a way to completely derail societies and our civilazations across the globe.

Let’s take a breath beofre continuing.

I must give feminism credit for their genious MO. It has managed to infect literally all layers of society and is creeping in globally. Also it seems very succesful in their goal to completely undermine everything humanity has accomplished: civil laws, tech, ecomonical prosperity and advancement.

My only question which I haven’t found a clear answer is: who is this group and why are they doing this? Even from a “overlord, oligarch secret gvt society” I fail to see how they can possibly benefit turning the world back to the dark ages. Perhaps it’s depopulation. AFAIK there are 7 billion of us morons devouring our world. So reducing that number very significantly would mean this world could sustain us some longer (moving to another planet would be more expensive for them). Staging world wars and genocide was only a temporary solution. A new world war would mean MAD. So depopulation might be a motive for feminism.

GoodMan_Gone kind of peters out at this point, so let’s just slip away quietly before he begins typing again.

I’m pretty sure I know who they’re referring to by “elites.”

I think all the tech tycoons and Wall Street sleazebags that backed Biden realize already that infecting corporations and politics with women is going to lead to a large-scale crash of the global economy, and they’re pushing it to the brink to profit hugely off the destruction.

Do they realize that corporations do poorly if the economy crashes? Unless corporations want to fail, they don’t want a collapse.

I assume this guy is an ancap or similar.

the people that have been positioning themselves all along

Hmmm…wonder who that could be referring to?

Women have a far greater heard mentality then men do.

Please tell that to the gender that is significantly more likely to be a part of Trump’s cult, or the subset of it that literally has the slogan “where we go one, we go all.”

I must give feminism credit for their genious MO. It has managed to infect literally all layers of society and is creeping in globally.

Here we have a great example of the typical fascist contradiction. The enemy, in this case feminism and “elites,” are depicted as both extremely powerful and weak at the same time, therefore allowing the fascists to claim to both be superior yet oppressed at the same time.

Perhaps it’s depopulation.

Hardcore projection from the group which supports millions dying of disease.

TL;DR is that like most things, MGTOWs don’t understand economics.

Ooo boy. Talk about Dunning-Kruger.

Wonder if these two MENSA applicants realize or care that they contradicted each other – one says depopulation is contrary to “the Elites”‘ goals, while the other says it’s one of the keystones.

OOT: r/Conservative is rather amusing right now, they’re desperately grasping at any straws that could allow them to believe they can salvage the election. BONUS: Their sources start at FOX News and then drop even lower (Breitbart, WorldNewsDaily, The Epoch Times, Red State…). FURTHER BONUS: Seems almost all the threads are “flaired users only”, which I’m pretty sure is a way to ensure only members “in good standing” may post; can you say “echo chamber”? Or even better if you want to piss them off, “safe space”?

Well, conservatives do love their safe spaces, as evidenced by how many have blocked me on Twitter (or ditched it entirely for Gab or Parler).

Here in America conservatives IRL are also grasping at straws, the problem is that they also have the presidency and senate right now and therefore have much more ability to spin the situation and attempt a coup.

If by heard mentality he means women are far less likely to start a war and instead want to grow a community and make alliances, then yeah women have a greater heard mentality then men and it probably kept us continuing as a species for the last 90,000 years.

Back at ya. MGTOWs are brilliant at misspelling, misuse of the word “literally,” mixed metaphors, illogic, and repeating many and various Big Lies about women.

Companies with female executives actually perform better.

FTSE 350 companies which have executive committees with female membership of more than 33% have a net profit margin over 10 times greater than those companies with no women at this level. Companies with no women on their executive committees have a net profit margin of 1.5%, whereas those with more than 33% women at this level reached an impressive 15.2% net profit margin .

So I don’t think the market is going to be shorting lady led stock just yet.

He’s actually not wrong about the super wealthy profiting off of economic collapse. Billionaires increased their wealth during the pandemic. Russian oligarchs did arise out of the post-Soviet privatization glut.

Where he’s utterly and ridiculously wrong is blaming economic collapse on women having jobs rather than on deregulation, income inequality and the pandemic.

Companies with female executives actually perform better.

And the reason, ironically, is sexism. When systemic bigotries and bias cause women to have to be twice as competent to reach the top position as men need to be, the companies with women at the top position will be better performing on average because all the men who wouldn’t have measured up if they’d been women are dragging down the male-led side’s average.

@Surplus

Also ultimately sexism related, but I think there’s also a less direct factor, which is that women are less likely to make reckless, poorly informed decisions. Because most of us face consequences for everything in our lives, and get told over and over again how dangerous the world is, while a lot of dudes are all but told they’re the Messiah.

Women are both the single most powerful corrupting force on the planet that can bring down multiple societies and civilizations and the weakest group of people that can easily be overpowered and destroyed according to them.

Anyway, I welcome whatever environmentally friendly agenda helps lower the world’s population so our one and only habitable planet can house us longer. (just watched a documentary on fast fashion it haunts me how destructive 1 industry like fashion is to the planet)

These mgtows almost always bring up pro life adjacent talking points too about women not having [white] babies as much, choosing abortions and ruining civilization that these men claim to have single-handedly created. Its like it ALWAYS circles right back to the issue that they want to say out loud all the time everyday: white people are dying out, their western world is changing and they hate losing power over minorities because they’re deathly scared of being treated as badly as minorities have been treated under white people. I know there are minority voices in mgtow (India has an mra group formed in response to vile rapists being publicly denounced) but the fear mongering most of the time from mgtows is similar to white supremacists. Not to mention, how highly likely it is that it’s just some 18-22 yr old white guy posing online as any minority voice. Like Dean Browning recently was outed doing.

Women are both the single most powerful corrupting force on the planet that can bring down multiple societies and civilizations and the weakest group of people that can easily be overpowered and destroyed according to them.

This idea is a core part of fascism. Present your enemy as both all-powerful and controlling, but also weak and easily destroyed. This allows you to simultaneously be the master race/gender/other group while also claiming victimhood. For instance, the way Nazi propaganda depicts Jews does the same, showing us as international conspirators controlling the world while also being feeble and easily subdued.

@Nagflar : not coincidentally, it’s also a core component of any conspiracy theory, where the Adversary is able to do almost anything, but a janitor is able to find by chance that storage room with 300 frozen cloned heads of Elvis.

@Tohka : note that reducing population isn’t strictly mandatory, we could just use resources better. It’s probably not very realistic tho.

Since I don’t currently want to die, I am not super high on population-reducing policies. I guess I could get behind children-limiting policies, but I am not sure how much of my acceptance of thoses come from me not wanting children anyway.

Depopulation policies also have an implicitely classist/racist bias, in the sense that overpopulated places tend to be poor and non-white. I guess this can be sort-of fixed by trying to focus on resources consumption instead of population, but that only lessen the bias. Similar to how taxes on polluting cars are essentially taxes on poverty.

That being said, I get the point that it’s the most realistic way to keep the Earth inhabitable.

The best thing that can be done for overpopulation is to spread feminism, and feminist policies. Places where the status of women improves, especially once they can transact independently of men, tend to see declines in birth rates without coercion. Making quality contraceptives widely and cheaply available in a place helps further, once women have sufficient autonomy to be able to negotiate their use.

So, if I’m reading this right, he’s claiming that at first, women are much more likely to be auditory thinkers than men, but later, it’s men who are much more likely to be auditory thinkers.

I see no mechanism for how this should work, nor any sense of timescale, nor whether we’re looking at individuals or populations.

Word choice madders.

OT Toronto van killer Alek Minassian has gone on trial on 10 counts of murder and 16 counts of attempted murder. Admitted incel Minassian is pursuing a defense of being not criminally responsible when he drove his van down Yonge Street in April of 2018.

I would say this is a much better goal. People in developed countries that have lower population density tend to use more resources and pollute more than people in developing nations that have higher density. Also, like you mentioned, most population reduction ideas have a eugenicist bend to them, as they often use various metrics to select who should or shouldn’t be allowed to have children or even be killed.

Likely the best way to reduce unnecessary resource consumption is to end capitalism, the worst offenders in this arena are corporations and the ultra wealthy.

I hope that asshole gets the same treatment as Alexandre Bissonnette. Just because you have some form of mental illness/disorder/syndrome does not necessarily mean you are not responsible for your actions (see: antisocial personality disorder i.e. sociopathy/psychopathy), especially when you plan them in advance.

Alan Robertshaw

@ naglfar

the worst offenders in this arena are corporations and the ultra wealthy.

I don’t think we can pass the buck here though. Those corporations don’t operate in a vacuum. They have customers. I appreciate sometimes there can be factors that limit people’s choices. But most of the time they are serving a demand that exists and is voluntary. And without going on about it too much, the main cause of environmental damage is animal-ag. That’s also a major drain on resources like water. And I’m not sure the ultra wealthy are the only ones facilitating that.

You’re very correct though if we consider this on a global scale. If everyone consumed at the same rate as Americans, we’d need eight Earths. And Europe isn’t far behind. Most countries fall between four and six Earths.

In total though, humanity has a resource deficit amounting to 1.6 Earths. Which perhaps gives an idea of how few resources some places have access to.

This data is quite illuminating:

Yes, the richest can benefit from an econnomic depression. People go bankrupt and sell off their house, car, tools, funiture etc. Lots of people are doing it all at once so the price goes down, and for those swho still have money there are wonderful bargins to be had.
The only reason I could afford to buy my first house was because unemployment locally was almost 50% and people were desperaate to leave. It was a small, grotty house but I got it for £16,500. I furnished it largely from second hand auctions where a chest of drawers was £4 – old fashioned, but solid wood.
I felt like a parasite doing so well off other people’s misery, but it wouldn’t have helped them for me not to buy their furniture.

One of the chief Brexiteers is Jacob Rees Mogg. His father literally wrote the book on how to profit from economic disasters. I have a horrible suspicion that he’s organising a major disaster for Britain in order to become even more obscenely rich.

@Alan Robertson, Surplus to Requirements, Cyborgette:
Another possible explanation for companies with significant numbers of women in the higher echelons of a company outperforming companies with no women in the higher echelons would be that if a company has any women in the executive offices, then that indicates that the Old Boys’ Club doesn’t have a complete stranglehold on the company culture, and the company as a whole is interested in moving forward rather than in just keeping the old guard in control.

He’s a holocaust survivor, isn’t he? So I suspect the “regime collapse” they mean is the Reich, but they don’t quite dare say so; and that Soros “got his start” by the oh-so-cunning-and-sneaky manoeuvre of not dying in a concentration camp as a child like the nazis wanted him to.

Blech, I hated having to parse that.

There are a lot of myths circulating about Soros’s childhood anyway. In actuality he escaped Hungary young, but various conspiracy theorists claim he worked with the Nazis to betray his own people. That might also be what they’re referring to, as they likely believe that about him.
