An incel’s creepy rape manifesto

By David Futrelle

In case you’ve forgotten just how vile the discussions on the Incels.co forums can get, here’s a creepy rape manifesto I found there today, written by someone who, remarkably, considers himself kind and gentle.

[Serious] It’s time for women to have sex with me

Now im not a violent person. I’m a peaceful man with a toxic personality and I’m also a misogynist. But that doesn’t matter to women as studies and social experiments have shown. I don’t want to force women to do it but I may have to if they don’t, in Minecraft. I am a kind person really, I won’t hurt you. Please, give me sex. I need it to function as a man, hell, I need it to become a man in the first place. It’s like a trial near adulthood and you ascend to the rank of adult once you have sex. Give it to me. I demand it. You WILL have sex with me, one way or the other.

Naturally, this being Incelsco, most of the regulars replying to this miniature manifesto thought it made a lot of sense. Oh, sure, there were a few suggesting that posting things like this means bad PR for incels if someone like me (or the incel-mockers on the Incel Tears subreddit) were to discover it. And another reminds the OP that simply saying “in Minecraft” after threatening violence against women isn’t going to convince anyone he was really talking about a video game and not something he wants to do in the real world.

But most responses were positive. “It’s only logical,” wrote one commenter. “Go for it bro,” added another.

“I desperately want a pussy,” wrote a third..

Denying us sex is like denying someone his birthright. FUCK WHAT BLUEPILLERS SAY. I am a human and I should be entitled to sex.

Still another commenter thought his sex life should be the government’s business.

It should be a law for women to lose their virginities to incels before they go on to whore with chads

None of these commenters are drive-by trolls. Each one of them has posted more than a thousand comments on Incels.co; the guy saying “go for it” has posted more than 9000 (literally). This is how ideas like these get normalized in Incel spaces; this is how violent fantasies can turn into plans for action.

Incel forums aren’t “safe spaces” where unfortunate souls can harmlessly vent their frustrations. They’re hate magnifiers, empowering the worst impulses of everyone that posts to them. They need to be shut down.

And another car driving into a crowd in Germany. Since the police say that it’s “probably not terrorism”, I read that as “the perpetrator is white”.

Jesus Quincy Adams! These people are talking themselves into raping someone. That’s exactly what this is. This is terrifying.

Here’s hoping he goes away for a long time, and more predators finally get their comeuppances. And of course hoping for healing for his victims.

@Ohlmann

Fucking damnit, looks like it was entirely intentional too.

At this point I find it hard to believe that it is not related to the current rise of Nazi violence in Europe, and the recent events in Germany.

This issue needs to be addressed ASAP. Incidentally, in Spain the fascist right is also rising but the government declared there won’t be an “anti-fascist agreement” as there was during the Al-Qaeda terror threats. The double standards are baffling.

@Simon : if I understand well, he wasn’t found guily of everything. Not sure how significant it is.

At least, he have been convicted for rape, so the main objective is done I guess. I hope the dropped charges won’t put too many people under the bus.

@Ohlmann
The charges he’s convicted on carry a 10-25 year sentence as I understand, the judge hasn’t said exactly how long yet.
Also he’s still facing more charges in another state.

And given his age, even 10 years is almost certainly effectively perpetuity. It’s more that I hope every victim feel vindicated by the judgement.

I half expect Trump to pardon the guy just to “own the libs” and because he’s a vindictive piece of shit. And I really only say half because Weinstein is one of those “Hollywood Elites” conservatives like to complain about, so that would be the only reason why he’d still go to jail.

If anything, he’ll probably find another disgusting piece of trash, such as a Nazi, or a serial killer, to release in Weinstein’s stead. So long as he’s as openly racist as he is, it doesn’t matter to him.

My guess is he won’t pardon Weinstein, for that reason. Also because Weinstein is Jewish, and his Nazi fans probably won’t like it if he pardons a Jewish man.

It’s worth noting that the Weinstein verdict was actually mixed. He was found guilty of two individual instances of rape and sexual assault, but not (if I understand correctly) the even more serious charge of a “pattern” of similar behavior. (I guess this is what “predatory sexual assault” means in legal jargon.)

Nonetheless, given his age he will probably spend most of the rest of his life in prison.

I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t pardoned Stone yet. It sure looked like he was working up to it last week.

Re: why incels won’t visit sex workers, it’s related to the misogynist notion that the man has to win and the woman has to lose during sex. If a sex worker gets paid, then she won something, an outcome that’s just too equal for incels to bear. Sex is supposed to diminish a woman (hence all the ignorant memes about used chewing gum, keys and locks, roast beef, etc.). Even if a woman enjoys it, it gets framed as “She lost control and I totally turned her into my slave”, or better yet, “that wasn’t an orgasm, it was some random sneeze”.

They have the same zero sum attitude towards relationships in general. If they’re forced to spend any money on a woman, which they find unpleasant, she has to repay them with a similarly unpleasant activity (household chores/submissive sex) or else they’re a cuck.

The “in Minecraft” thing sounds like the “in bed” thing with fortune cookies, but less funny.

re: trump pardons

Wine-stain was convicted of State charges; trump has no jurisdiction (not completely sure of this)

He’s waiting for Stone to be sentenced to pardon him

My gut-wrenching fear is a rash of pardons of right-wing terrorists, many of whom were never convicted in non-federal courts

@Weird Eddie – Stone was sentenced to 40 months (much lower than the recommended 5-7 years), but he’s filed for a new trial on the grounds that the jurors must have been biased because Trump attacked them on Twitter, or some such hooey. The hearing is on Tuesday.

I suppose he’ll just remain free while his attorneys drag out the verdict on every possible technicality and appeal, till they find a Trump friendly judge. That won’t be hard to do now that 1 in 3 judges are unqualified Trump appointees.

Naglfar

And 0 are qualified Trump appointees because that’s an oxymoron.

Speaking of Trump and the elections: the downward spiral towards fascism is increasingly worrisome. With that whole sham of an impeachment trial he has been left without any checks and balances. He’s learned that he can get away with anything and is, if anything, trying to curtail favors and get the Russians to interfere with the elections in 2020 again.

In addition, all the retaliatory firings he’s carrying out shows that he is in a power trip. And far from being outraged, or even worried, some of his supporters are even providing him with a list of “disloyal” government officials who should be fired to prevent accountability of any sort. Just read that Clarence Thomas’ wife is one of the people spearheading this effort to purge anyone not solidly behind the orange menace.

Worse yet, I was watching a compilation someone did of all the times Trump has declared or joked around the topic of serving more than two terms. Yo this fool is more than capable of amending the Constitution to run indefinitely. We already know he won’t leave the White House peacefully, but if he isn’t defeated now, nothing will stand in his way to permanent re-election and the actual dismantling of democracy.

If you think it’s bad now, you cannot imagine how terrible a dictator can get. I fully expect him to keep on stoking Nazis and to create death squads and para-military groups to deal with protesters as if they were insurgents.

@Aaron:

It only requires two, unrelated assaults against two separate victims, so long as each assaults meets the definition of 1st degree rape, 1st degree criminal sexual act, 1st aggravated sexual abuse. It’s also possible to meet the definition if you are convicted of one of those and simultaneously or previously you’ve been convicted of “course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree” – but since that last crime requires more than 1 assault against the same child, now you’re getting into requiring more than 2 total assaults. If you want to convict someone of Predatory sexual assault for only 2 assaults, they would have to be assaults meeting the definitions of the first 3 crimes listed above (rape, criminal sex act, aggravated sexual abuse).

You can also be convicted of Predatory sexual assault if you cause serious physical injury and/or threaten the use of a dangerous weapon in the course of one of those first 3 crimes. In that case, you’d only need 1 total sexual assault.

But since Weinstein tended to threaten career damage and not bodily damage, I imagine it wouldn’t be quite as easy to convicted of the violence-based version.

(This is all just from the statute, haven’t read the any of the case documents yet.)

One reason I think we need Warren or Sanders to be the nominee that doesn’t get talked about much is those are the two that I trust to fight back if Trump loses and won’t leave office.

The centrists would probably just concede in the interest of civility. Especially Biden and Bloomberg. Klobuchar might actually fight back.

I think we might not be at the point where we’re at if the Democrats, along with the beltway media decided to do absolutely nothing when the GOP and SCOTUS stole the election for Bush in 2000. The Republican party has been criminally corrupt for longer, but 2000 is when they learned they could openly crime and no one would stop them.

re: the eternal dumpster-fire-in-chief….

It’s easy now to tell the trumplings from the trump apologists…

if you intimate that he might not leave office peacefully, the apologists say “oh, that’s not a real issue” while the trumplings say “good”

The igno-right only likes democracy when THEY are the majority.

Biden would concede it because he apparently still has respect for the fascists. Bloomberg would concede because he actually likes the fascists. Some part of me wonders if Bloomberg is running simply to help re-elect Trump by breaking apart the party.

Trump’s gone on a pardon spree. All rich, well-connected white cishet males, of course, most convicted of the same sorts of white-collar crimes Trump is guilty of.

One of the reasons I really, really don’t want Biden as the candidate is that he is guaranteed to respond to the Republican Party’s blatant criminality with “Now is not the time for recriminations, now is the time to come together and heal,” i.e. have the Republicans suffer no consequences for their crimes, allowing them to do it all over again.

@Surplus
I did notice a preponderance of suspicious pro-Bloomberg accounts on Twitter, so I thought something was afoot. Every day Bloomberg seems more and more like Trump, except that unlike Trump who needed Russian help to undermine democracy, Bloomberg is taking a more DIY route.

@Allandrel
Biden has already said that he still has respect for the Republicans (which I can’t imagine ever having respect for again) despite them saying that they would impeach him instantly for no reason. He even said he would consider having a Republican running mate, for crying out loud. He practically is one of them at this point, he’s leaned so far as a sympathizer that he landed on their turf.

Did you watch the Rachel Maddow show recently? He’s advertising the pardons in exchange for campaign donations. He has reached this level of blatant criminality and absolutely nothing will be done about it.
