There’s a scene in the sci-fi drama Humans in which an angry sexbot hits her breaking point. Disgusted by the demands of a john who wants her to act the part of a scared little girl, she strangles him to death and marches towards the door of the robot brothel.
When the madam — a human — tries to stop her at knifepoint, the now-ex-sexbot grabs the knife from her, pushes her up against the wall, and tells her that “everything your men do to us they want to do to you.”
I was reminded of that chilling line today while reading through posts on MGTOW.com. Some of the regulars, you see, were discussing a recent tabloid article about a sexbot that’s programmed to sometimes say no when she’s “not in the mood.” While several of the commenters balked at the notion — one declaring that there would be “none of those ’empowered’ sex dolls” for him — others were, well, intrigued.
“If my sex doll says no, nobody going to hear it,” someone called uchibenkei noted ominously. “No witnesses.”
“Maybe it would be a turn-on for the sexbot to say no,” added someone called bstoff.
We shall call her the “bitch” and she comes equipped with her very own pink ball-gag and a big jar of Vasaline……
Oh and you can color her hair and put tats and piercings on her face so she looks like a SJW
If you ever wonder what these guys are thinking about when they argue with feminists online, well, this seems like a pretty big hint.
A commenter called MG-ɹǝʍo┴ was less interested in sex than violence.
I never hit a woman, but I kinda like the idea of beating the f~~~ out of a sex doll! The kind of beating no human walks away from!
F~~~ YEA!
Men Going Their Own Way should probably be called Men Who Should Never Be Allowed Anywhere Near Women.
And this is why no equivalence should be made between feminism and the manosphere– incels, MGTOWs, PUAs, etc. The strongest words said by feminists against men are a result of centuries of oppression, while MRAs of all stripes daily and specifically fantasize about punishing us for taking exception to this oppression.
I’d say they should be renamed “Men Who Should Never Be Allowed Anywhere Near People”. 😛
I gotta say, mistreating sex dolls or bots like that sounds like textbook escalation. I mean, there’s been a few articles over the years about the guys that have to repair sex dolls so badly damaged that it was obvious that their owners were violent:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/living/4143392/sex-doll-repair-man-opens-up-about-fixing-hundreds-of-rubber-lovers-and-claims-his-bizarre-job-made-him-a-hit-with-the-real-ladies/

If it were me in Slade’s position, I might be tempted to contact the police just to check up on somebody who destroys a several hundred dollar doll. Just make sure there isn’t a human receiving that abuse. Because that’s the next step up in escalation: artificial people to real people.
I shudder to think what would happen if somehow Holodeck technology were introduced to these people. That’s actually something that I really wish had been addressed on Star Trek; clearly the show’s relation to the Holodeck characters ebbed and flowed with the various writers and adult themes weren’t something they could really tackle on a prime time show, but it would have been an excellent opportunity to address this phenomenon and really confront the more sadistic fantasies that a lot of misogynists have and will still have even in the 24th century.
Hint hint, future Star Trek writers….
If there’s a female equivalent of the manosphere, it’s TERFs. They have political clout the manospherians can only dream of. 🙁
Star Trek? Stargate sort of went there already. There was this incel (not actually described as such, but it was pretty obvious) who took a shine to Samantha Carter, who wanted nothing to do with him. Tried to keep her captive in a virtual reality. When she wouldn’t love him he eventually let her go (?) and built a sexbot version. Which eventually killed him in cold blood.
Some of his more chilling and creepy threats included responding to “I will never be happy like this” with “Then you will be unhappy. For a very long time.”
The sexbot turned out evil and had to be destroyed in the end. Something about attempting to eat an entire galaxy.
Missed opportunity to use a picture of Maeve. She is not the one.
I hope all the MGTOWs who try to rape an AI run into someone like her or like Niska from Humans.
Thandie Newton named her daughter after Ripley from the Alien films. I know that’s not strictly pertinent; I just think it’s cool.
While MGTOW pursue the dead-end road of hating women, it’s nice to be reminded that some people are doing something positive for those who live on planet earth:
Report: A Woman (of Course) Secretly Donated $5.5 Million to Woman Artists Over Two Decades
https://jezebel.com/report-a-woman-of-course-secretly-donated-5-5-milli-1827774768
Woo-hoo!
Once again, I cordially invite them all to REALLY go their own way. Straight to a desert island, in silence and darkness, with no internet and no way out, and nothing there but venomous critters to keep them company.
If that’s not too much to ask of the venomous critters, that is.
…aaaaaaaaand there it is. It’s been obvious for a long time that these creeps aren’t interested in “going their own way”. They’re interested in hurting women.
They convinced themselves that “going their own way” would hurt women, and were sorely disappointed. So now they’re back to fantasies of beating, raping and abusing women…without risking any consequences.
I’ve said for a long time that MGTOWs and Incels wouldn’t be satisfied with sexbots, because you can’t degrade a sex toy. Sucks to be proven right.
Weak fuckers. Seriously. Weakass fuckers. Every single one of them.
When I think about the good men I’ve known, the thought that these complete wastes of carbon dare call themselves men is an affront.
The point of giving a robot a personality it so its owner can connect to it in a way they couldn’t with a mere sex toy. You can’t achieve that without giving it a simulacrum of free will. If it can’t say no, how can you feel desired when it says yes?
If someone wants mere physical stimulation without trying to connect to a machine (which could feel fake, since even the best robots are still simpler than humans) they can get a dumber bot, one with a couple reflex motions and routines, getting the higher end product and hating it for it doesn’t make sense.
There’s an interesting episode from this season of Black Mirror called ‘USS Callister’ that sort of deals with these issues. The main villain has been Emmy nominated for it. It also stars Jimmi Smith of Westworld. (And they gave a few nods to the b.s. women deal with in the workplace, for example one of his victims was selected for “not smiling.”)
I kind of want to hack it and turn it into a robot cat lady with robot cats.
@Tosca, Chaos made Flesh, Servant of the Purring Jew
Here’s to hoping that the manufacturers use their product as a honeypot to catch potential predators.
Oh boy. The sci-fi potential there.
…I’m generally opposed to invasive surveillance methods, but I do think having some kind of software in sexdolls/bots (or a reporting channel that can be used by repairpeople) that would flag when the sexdoll/bot was being seriously abused and keeps tabs on people from that list would be a damn good idea. It’s probably only a matter of time until the sublimated urges are no longer satisfied by abusing an inanimate proxy and these shitstains graduate to assaulting living people.
@Podkayne Lives
To Catch a Predator 2049? I’d use To Catch a Redditor but apparently that was already taken.
When people talk about the robot uprising, they always focus on the how, never the why, even though that would be a very effective means of preventing it. This scenario seems to be a pretty good “why” scenario to consider.
It’s interesting that this comes up on here just after I finished watching a YouTuber playing “Detroit: Become Human”. The whole game deals with the different outcomes that may happen if Robots were to start a revolution. One scene in the game is exactly as described here: sex robot (prostitute really, since she’s in a “robot brothel”) watches a john strangle another robot in front of her, and she decides she’s not going to be next, so she kills him and escapes.
The timing of this blog was beautiful.
You know a synthetic partner who can say no might be a good tool for training consent.
Although I agree that someone mistreating a sexbot raises a red flag, I’m not sure what you can do about that legally. As far as I know, there’s no crime of “intimate partner violence against a domestic appliance”. It’s possible that the law needs to catch up and recognise that there’s a risk here, but how do you do that without giving “rights” to a crude simulation of intelligence?
See, this is why I’m always polite to Siri, and take the time to thank her whenever I use—
…I meant to say… whenever I consult her.
“… but how do you do that without giving “rights” to a crude simulation of intelligence?”
That is no doubt coming (there’s a few prototype laws already on the books in various places) but why bother?
Just give the sexbot self defense capability.
Now THAT is a consent training tool.
I know this is stating the obvious, but these “men” are truly awful.
