Andrew Anglin of the Daily Stormer isn’t just some dude who spews out seemingly dozens of posts a day for his rancid neo-Nazi website; he also fancies himself a bit of a self-help guru, regularly offering his male readers (and they’re almost all male) advice on how to live their best lives.
Yesterday, Anglin dropped a lengthy post filled with advice on how his readers could be, as he put it, good men. Many of his specific suggestions were surprisingly anodyne — eat healthy food, don;t dress like a slob, keep your word — though some of the seemingly uncontroversial assertions reflected something of a Machiavellian spirit. In a section urging men to “Be Generous,” for example, he declared that
[p]aying for people’s meals is a demonstration of power, and it is something that is respected. Being stingy is a sign of weakness, and is viewed as pathetic.
And then there’s his advice on women. Let’s just say he’s not much of a romantic. In one section of the piece, he tells his readers they should “Not Ever Believe That Any Woman is Above You.” After all, he says,
Biology has determined that all men are superior to all women. You should never view a woman as above you. You are better than she is because you are a man, and men are superior to women. …
Do not ever believe that you need any woman. …
Women exist only to serve men. They have no other purpose.
Worst. Tinder. Bio. Ever.
In another section, Anglin offers advice on dating: don’t. As he sees it, men have no need for girlfriends, and should view women only as portable sex holes … or as white baby factories. (It goes without saying that he doesn’t want his readers getting involved in any way with women who aren’t white.)
In Anglin’s view,
“Romantic love” is a hormonal function of young teenagers. Grown men engaging in this behavior is on the same level as grown men playing with toy trucks. …
You do not need a woman to be your friend and roommate, as is generally the modern concept of a “girlfriend.” This is pathetic.
It’s far better, in Anglin’s mind, for men to see women not as partners or friends but as biological resources to be exploited. As he sees it, the only time it’s appropriate for men to interact with women is when they are either
- Trying to have sex with her with as little energy expenditure as possible
- Interviewing her as a potential mother of your children
I’m not quite sure how Anglin handles, say, talking with his mom, or asking a question of Siri, or what he does when he has to mail a package at the post office and the clerk happens to be a woman. I can only wonder: would he turn down life-saving emergency surgery if the only doctor available to treat him was a woman he didn’t want to bang?
Somehow I suspect Anglin hasn’t thought this one through all the way.
But he has given a bit more thought to the issue of what to do about dudes who are already living with women — at least if it looks like they’ll ultimately marry.
I understand that part of the modern social paradigm is that a woman becomes your girlfriend and then may potentially become your wife. I obviously do not approve of this, and would prefer a traditional framework wherein a father gives you his virgin daughter for marriage, but I am not so silly as to believe such a thing is possible.
So then, if you do the live-in girlfriend thing as part of the process of working toward marriage, as is now the custom, there is no shame in this. But you should only do this in situations where you genuinely believe that there is a high chance that this relationship will result in marriage and children.
Not that marriage is without its perils. In an aside, Anglin urges his fans to take whatever steps they need to in order to protect themselves financially and otherwise from evil golddiggers trying to seize their assets (and their children) in a divorce. This includes collecting what Anglin calls “kompromat” to blackmail any woman with the gall to file for divorce.
Yes, that’s right: don’t marry a woman unless you can blackmail her.
He then takes up the question of how exactly a non-dating man might be able to get his dick wet once in a while.
Satisfying basic sexual needs outside of marriage is best done through the use of prostitutes, although I understand that this is illegal in all feminist countries.
I’ve rarely seen a Madonna/Whore complex expressed quite this literally.
Anglin ends with a bit of advice for any of his readers who might somehow manage to convince non-prostitutes/non-future-wives to have sex with them.
Casual sexual encounters with non-prostitutes should not involve any more emotion than is involved with a sexual encounter with a prostitute.
In other words: keep yourself from developing any human feelings towards women you sleep with by thinking of them as basically less than human. (These guys hate literal prostitutes even more than they hate the sexually active women they so regularly call “whores.”)
Anglin’s post is just another example of why, despite the fact that this country is filled with racist white women, the alt-right has a devil of a time actually recruiting any of them.

Something that Anglin seems to assume is that sex workers have no choice about their clientele. He must be talking about the unfortunate, often under-aged, trafficked women who truly have no choices. A professional has every right to show a prospective client the door, and a person who comes in intending to treat one like a piece of meat deserves no less.

Although slightly more polite, as this was all aristocratic officers, their opinions were much the same. Their wives and relations only appear in their personal writing once or twice, and often in relation to a ‘safe’ male guardian. Often, they are never even named.
I submit for your consideration, a book looking at the personal journals and published fiction of the German Freikorps, with an analysis and plentiful quotations regarding their views on women.

After an informal study, using the time-tested and peer-approved method of “… hmmm, I just noticed that….”, I concluded that Ford’s trucks were advertised in work-related scenarios WAAAYYY more than Dodge, Chevy/GMC, or Toyota….
Dodge (excuse me, RAM) trucks always seem to be out-dragging some other brand pulling a boat up a hill, Toyota likes to show off its “pulling something out of a mud-hole” prowess, and the GM haulers… seem to always be doing… not much of anything, just bragging about being better….
For all of ’em, though, I believe the lion’s share of their trucks are never gonna pull anything, and their truck beds will likely remain pristine for many, many years of “service” life.
As for four-wheelin’, the closest most of these trucks will get to “off-road” is the shoulder of the interstate….

Up to, and even through, the discussion of his Facebook post where he confessed to having been an abuser, I was still not sure about condemning him for a past he seemed to have turned the page on. “Was abusive, then pulled his head out of his ass, then worked the other side” is a story I’d like to see more often. But then… First, lying to his employees and in the publicity material for the company was pretty much guaranteed to destroy any credibility he might have. More than literal Madonna/whore complex, this is also telling about what their concept of a feminist is. I already saw shades of the Schroedinger’s Feminist pre-GamerGate when this twerp from the Daily Caller wrote an article saying that liberals (read: feminists) want to stop men from ogling women (and this is bad, as Rush Limbaugh himself said when he promoted Howley’s article on his show). Sam Seder tore him to shreds in an interview and there’s a brilliant part (I don’t have the time stamp, but it’s later in the interview and it’s well worth watching in full) where former producer Matt Binder (of DOOMED podcast fame) mentions that at the same time that Howley is arguing that liberals/feminists are being prudes, they’re simultaneously accused of being too libertine (as the aforementioned Rush Limbaugh infamously said about Sandra Fluke). So there’s no winning for women, but of course that’s the point of patriarchy.
And speaking of sex workers, I notice that’s a topic that I haven’t seen touched much on the site (perhaps in previous threads before I started commenting, but I haven’t delved into them). I understand that it can be a contentious topic, but personally I’d like to see sex work obtain the same status as other work and break the taboos surrounding it, much like the rest of the adult entertainment industry. But ultimately, I don’t think it can really protect its workers without some kind of collective action that confronts the coercive aspects of capitalism. The aspects that force poor women (particularly those from marginalized communities) into that line of work out of desperation.
There was an interesting episode of the Danish TV series Borgen that handled the topic in its third season. Season 3 Episode 5, titled “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery” has a newly-formed centrist political party trying to craft its stance on prostitution after a sex trafficking ring is busted in Copenhagen and puts the issue in the media spotlight. The party talks to an anti-sex work lobby group that is in favour of the Nordic model and campaign manager Katrine Fønsmark is in favour of it too, but party leader Brigitte Nyborg wants to hear from somebody whom legislation would actually affect and contacts a local escort named Helene to discuss her occupation with the party’s leaders. Katrine actually has several conversations with Helene and even visits Helene at her home between jobs to get a glimpse of how she lives and contextualizes her work and realizes how the Nordic model would hurt Helene’s clientele. As Katrine’s views on sex work softens, she convinces Helene to speak on a policy panel to rebutt the lobby group’s proposals, but sitting as the sole sex worker on the panel, she’s snidely spoken over repeatedly and sinks into her chair as she’s browbeaten into silence.
It’s a heartbreaking scene, one that leaves Helene disillusioned and the knife is only driven in deeper when the Danish parliament drops the issue once the media cycle moves on and leaves the status quo intact.
There’s more to the episode, but this was really the heart of it and it really cemented why solidarity with sex workers is so critical. At the same time, not every sex worker is Helene, who was a middle-aged white Danish woman with her own apartment. Many suffer under the coercion of pimps and traffickers and their choice of profession is not one taken out of choice the way Helene’s was, be it a young woman in college trying to pay tuition or a poor immigrant woman desperate for day-to-day necessities that had to choose between sex work or 12-hour minimum wage shifts at Tim Hortons with no job security. That system needs to be smashed and only a collective movement for economic justice will deliver.
Okay, rabble rousing socialism speech over. But do let me know if there’s something I haven’t considered. I know this topic can be contentious and I want to make sure that I’m on the best possible side of it (if that can be achieved).
