Having a sick day here, so here’s a picture of Sean Hannity surrounded by squids

Hannity and his squid friends

Hey there, sorry I wasn’t able to post a real post today, kinda wrenched my back, nothing serious but hurts like heck and now I’m sleepy from the muscle relaxants they gave me. So I thought I’d post a recent filtering experiment involving Sean Hannity and some squids.

Hoping to resume regular posting tomorrow.  Consider this an open thread.

EDITED TO ADD: Oh. so I was doing some vagina research for a possible upcoming post on MGTOWs and these were the suggested stories that popped up on the Health magazine site under one of the articles I read.

What is going on with vaginas and weird things being put up them!? Is this al Gwynyth’s doing?

Ouch!

I have enough of aches and pains, and pull enough of muscles, not too bad lately. Had worst in the past.

Have been trying to work on “the health”. Car is sick too, so I’ve been doing a lot of things on foot, including grocery shopping like 6 blocks away. Not bad at all going, you don’t want to carry much heavy stuff back.

Have done it a few times lately, one time broke out an old “luggage carrier”. Urban area here, enough of people have their own carts (such as what most people associate with “old ladies”. ) I figured I could do the same with this “luggage carrier” and strap bags to it, and then drag it down the sidewalk.

Which did work but was also kind of a pain.

So then thought, with future trips, if I distribute the weight (pop, milk, heavy things), I can carry it in shoulder bags, and yeah – that was even worse.

Better than a gym! Free exercise!

I think I hurt my shoulders a couple of times doing this.

OUCH! Anyway, can relate.

Not a med person, what has worked for (oft injured) me, is lying flat on your back. For sleep. Get the carcass back into position.

Some pillows and teddy bears are of course ok too 🙂 Be careful not to have things that may twist you out of shape. Our pal T here sleeps on a bed including like 8 or 10 pillows. Has like a whole “coat” of pillows on top of the mattress.

Hey, whatever works for you.
“They are carefully arranged”. OK. Shift around enough and things sticking out of place can cause body hurt issues. “Slept wrong”.
You can do this without anything in your way, too.

Lying reasonably flat to keep things straight is what I’m thinking of.
And you have to do it when you have a serious injury too, until things heal up.

Been there. GAH

Feel better soon, D! 🙂

Sometimes I put garlic in my vagina to ward off vampire PUAs. Too bad it’s apparently not good for me. I think it’s worth the risk though.

Dr. Jen Gunter is a treasure trove for all things vagina.

Highly recommend her.

Anyway, I continue to be disgusted with how the press is trying to pretend like Barbara Bush was some sort of wonderful person. What’s worse, is that they’re trying to rewrite the history of the entire Bush family. I keep reading/hearing about how they were competent, non-bigoted, dignified etc. and are part of some past legacy of Republicans who were super awesome people before Trump came along and ruined the party.

I don’t think I even need to explain why that’s wrong on about a thousand different levels.

It’s just frustrating me so much.

Can’t alot of that stuff in those links get absorbed into the vaginal wall and cause… not great sensations? 🙁

6 whole blocks? Let me know if it’s ever 60, then I might be impressed. 😛

(Use a proper backpack, with straps. And don’t end up with the corner of anything digging into your back. If there’s something with a sizable flat side, put that nearest your back.)

As someone who has pulled many a muscle and also pinched a nerve or two, I fully embrace (sporadic and only used when necessary) muscle relaxers.

Years ago when I worked retail, I pinched a nerve in my shoulder blade, quite badly at that. The pain went from neck to toes, and I was popping 8 Advil every four hours just to stay on my feet, in heels, during the Christmas season. My manager was…less than sympathetic, despite the fact that my misery was obvious. But Christmas Eve, I finally got a kick ass muscle relaxer that knocked me out for almost 24 hours and I was set when I woke up.

When I went back to work the day after Christmas and cheerfully told my manager I was fixed, her only question was “Well, where was that before!?” Like, what part of ‘I slept for an entire day’ didn’t compute? Was I supposed to risk falling asleep behind the wheel?

Nowadays I work construction and have thankfully avoided injury, through last year I did sprain my clavicle and pull a neck muscle at a concert so…yeah. Still gotta be careful. Hope you rest up and feel better soon.

I’m always amazed at the drugs you can seemingly get at the drop of a hat in the states, here you’d have to consult your doctor continuously for a week and they’d still just tell you to stretch and do excercises most of the time, oh, and not do the things that makes you seize up.

I’m still so stress-tense that I can’t look over my shoulders. Still weighing wether that’s good or bad for my general sense of paranoia…

Hello.

Have a nice recovery, David ! Maybe you could have an appointment with a physiotherapist or an osteopath ?

Next health tip article : to be a hot woman, putting tabasco in your vagina is not advisable.
Next week article : to train you vagina muscles, you do not need to try and break walnuts with it, Jean-Claude Vandamme style.

Have a nice day.

Have done it a few times lately, one time broke out an old “luggage carrier”.

My mother actually tried something like that a few years back, the grocery store is less than a block away. She told me she got mistaken for a homeless woman.

Re: pulled muscles

I’ve pulled so many muscles over the years that, if I put on all the neoprene supports I’ve had to buy, it looks like I’m wearing a wetsuit.

Speaking of which:

I’ve had shoulder injuries. They can be quite hard to compress. But then someone recommended I get an old wetsuit, slightly too small, and then just cut the top off and wear that. It really works, so I highly advise.

(Ratty old wetsuits are easily come by here because there’s lots of surf hire places)

Can’t beat hot baths for bad strains.

The wetsuit idea sounds like a good one – how’s it handle blood? (My normal damage usually involves copious bleeding, and I don’t want to be trying peel off a wetsuit that’s clotted to my skin. Sounds worse than tape.)

RE: Muscle relaxants. I strained a muscle in my back, around 10 years ago. My doctor prescribed cyclobenzeprine – I think that’s the generic name. I took one right before I drove back home, which was only about a 10 minute drive, thinking I’d be home long before the meds took effect. By the time I got home, my keys were falling out of my hand; I just couldn’t grasp them.

tl;dr: Cyclobenzaprine takes effect fast. But, it also gave me headaches.

@Shadowplay

I agree. Hot baths are great for muscle strains and sprains.I

Soma is an awesome muscle relaxant. I think my doctor was reluctant to prescribe it, because it’s become a not-unpopular drug of abuse in the US.

Glitter gives you flavored orgasms?

What flavor is glitter, and who wants to be picking glitter out of their crotch for the next eighteen months? Is the idea that it’s supposed to explode like a party popper?

I’m moving house this week, and anticipating a lot of muscle aches and pains. The good news is, the new place has a decent hot water heater, so I can finally have a bath.

Garlic is caustic. Don’t put it on skin or anywhere… sensitive and it can cause esophagitis and gastroenteritis in some people if they eat it.

Read a story once told by a nurse who worked at a nhs clinic in England and a guy made a poultice out of a bulb of garlic to cure thrush and left it on overnight.

It didn’t go well.

So, yeah, don’t put garlic in sensitive area’s.

That shit is standard operating procedure. They did it with Reagan, Bush 43 has laid low but his cronies have basically been allowed to wash themselves clean of his stink, and they’re already building lifeboats to keep their careers afloat after amping up Donald Trump the past 3 years.

To listen to any Bush regime holdover, history began November 2016. Just like during the Obama years, it began January 2009. Never heard of Bush. Never heard of birtherism. The Republican party was great until Donald Trump hypnotized all of their voters into voting for him. *sigh* And you just know it’s gonna happen with Trump.

As for Babs, yeah, great, she founded a charity or two. She still raised a warmonger president and was as racist as her whole family.

At least she inspired some entertaining Simpsons clips:

Ugh. This morning I couldn’t find the cord and charger to my iPhone anywhere. I searched my room and I thoroughly searched my bag, pulled everything out of it to check, no cord and charger there. So I went to the Apple store and bought new ones. This afternoon, the cord and charger materialized in my bag out of thin air. I swear! So I bought new ones for nothing.

This has been a problem for me for over a decade. I can’t carry anything on my shoulders for more than a few minutes before I get tensed up and painful. Even a small strap that only holds a cell phone bag; it’s the same as a 20 lb. bag of groceries to *my* shoulders! Between that and the carpal tunnel, I have to resort to cargo pants or fanny packs to carry anything. 🙁

And yeah, docs here seem really keen to prescribe pills. Especially when all I’m looking for is a referral for physical therapy. >:(

In about fifteen years, the mainstream holomedia will be looking back dreamily at Trump and how great things were, back before martial law, the loss of our electric grid, and Congress voting to replace school lunches with ammunition. Trump will be hailed as a great statesman and the pundits will wonder how in the world we ended up with President Nugent.

I wish I were kidding.
