Here’s a little lesson in vaginanonmics from a Man Going His Own Way who might, I suspect, be a little bit hungry.
Other MGTOWs agree: Once some guy eats a woman’s virginity peanut with his penis, she is no longer a tasty snack for any other man.
In addition to being peanuts who are also somehow sheep, women are of course parasites. Parasitic peanut sheep.
Stay safe out there, fellas! It’s a dangerous world, metaphorically speaking.
Do they think sex is a limited resource or something? Like a woman can only sex so many times in her lifetime and then she runs out of charges like a video game ability?
(I mean, technically sex would be a limited resource since we only have so much time in our lives, but that also applies to us dudes, too.)
Yes, they literally believe this.
To manospherians, a woman is diminished and less attractive every time she’s penetrated (which is the only sort of sex they believe ciswomen are capable of having.) Eventually, she achieves the fabled “thousand cock stare”, and becomes an object of revulsion rather than of lust.
Or, to put it another way, a woman gets XP from sex, and every time she levels up she strengthens her Repel Manospherians aura. This is exactly equivalent to the above, but I somehow suspect they wouldn’t put it that way.
@EJ, @sfhc
@Clawshrimpy is the Twitter handle of the person at the centre of the whole thing; they’ve been tweeting and sharing about it so I don’t think they’d mind me sharing their name.
They’ve also been talking with another user – @hungandbuxom – about it quite a bit.
I’m honestly still processing it, so I’m resisting the temptation to try and summarise the whole thing (not to mention it’s really complicated and I’m not too good at being succinct).
It seems to have begun when Clawshrimpy made a video pointing out elements of toxic masculinity in the anime Gurenn Lagann, and HB took exception to it. The fact that this happened at the height of GG is also pretty awful.
But I’ll leave it there. I’m having one of those “please no, not this person as well” moments 🙁
Pah, this is so silly. Women aren’t only valuable because they give birth and people who give birth don’t “just pop out kids”. Pop out indeed. Plus, from the way Mr. FuckTOW writes “bond with… a cock” it sounds as if someone’s body is literally fusing with a penis. If I want mixed metaphors and body horror, I’ll read Les Chants de Maldoror.
@Dvärghundspossen and Mish – Good luck with jobby things! I’m also looking for a level-up this summer from my tutoring centre work to college* English teaching. Right now I’m exhausted from the April end-of-term rush; getting into a college as an ESL or literature teacher would start as part-time and not tenured, like what you’re doing, but at least I’d have a firmer schedule.
*in Quebec, it’s is a thing between high school and university, if you want to do university; in most cases you need a Master’s to teach at this level, though a PhD (don’t have) or relevant experience (hope I have) is a plus
@Scildfreja
Nah, that’s just putting a pseudoscientific veneer on a very old trope.
I came over to see this, because I couldn’t believe it …
I am scared that it’s been years and they’re still trying to get past that 101-level “Women Are Things” model.
Let’s get back to the interesting stuff, linking them to the Milos Yiannopoulos attempted riot-starters and crying Cantwell Nazis to the Trump supporters, so we can get rid of them all in one fell swoop. https://splinternews.com/vice-has-fired-the-writer-who-told-breitbarts-milo-yian-1819218391
@Mish of the Catlady Ascendancy
I remember Clawshrimpy being really unpopular on 4chan’s /m/-mecha,
the only thing I remember was something about the way Simon intervened in Rossiu’s suicide attempt right before the final act.
Gurenn Lagann as toxic masculinity? Hmm never really though if it that way Sure,hyper masculinity but was it toxic? maybe its time for a re-watch.
@whatevermynameis
What?
I don’t have Mariah Carey’s five-octave vocal range? This is disappointing.
@Kat
That made me laugh a little. XD Thank you.
I actually forgot about Rationalization Hamster and, given the subject of this particular article, I at first thought the word was a reference to “Your Mother Was a Hamster.”

@bekabot
I love A Christmas Carol. Is it a revenge fantasy? A tale of social justice? Yes!
Manospherians, you are Ebenezer Scrooge — bitter complainers who loathe all that exists. Of course, Ebenezer has a change of heart, one of the most famous changes of heart ever.
Are manospherians destined to remain crybabies (no offense intended to actual crying babies) forever? Dunno. As with Ebenezer Scrooge, their future is entirely up to themselves and the choices they make.
OT: remember the recent revelations about John K (of Ren & Stimpy fame)? Well, he’s hitting back, and it’s as revolting as you’d expect. TW: if you’re an abuse survivor, you might want to skip this one.
@scildfreja
I feel a lot more intelligent/knowledgeable after reading your posts and at the same time, my brain is trying to desperately exit my skull in disgust and to escape the impending stupidity. That level almost has to be catching.
Goodness. They really are exceedingly silly, insecure and plain dumb.
I just…. How are we at the same time completely stupid, unable to think like the menz and fucking pair bond like a simple animal to the first cock we get and yet, we are tempting seductresses, part of a hidden feminist overladyship full of wily wiles, who have the most complicated plans to take over and enslave the menz?
I mean, if they’re all brilliant examples of the greatest thing since sliced bread and we are silly, unthinking feeeeemales – how come we are still running around freely, changing the world?
I just…. The mind boggles.
And thank you for that really interesting information about “we’re all female in the womb” (and the information in general, I just love how thoroughly you – and others, of course – are able to answer and how knowledgeable you all are!)
That is exactly how it works, yes. Add enough questionable attitudes towards women/men and relationships in your immediate surroundings and suddenly “You’ll never find someone asking less of you than me…” becomes a totally believable statement. My only consolation is the memory of his face when my answer was – after months of agonizing – that I supposed I was just going to stay single then.
But the point is, that this is often exactly how it works. And it would have worked on me even if I had been a lot older. People with little experience are very easy targets, sadly. These guys don’t want someone who has a sense of their own worth or of how they should be treated from previous experiences.
Thought this might be of interest: a look at the links between male entitlement and violence, in the MSM Grauniad.
The comments btl are currently closed, but who would ‘a thunk it, for once the currently most-upvoted comments are currently mostly sensible! Knock me down with a feather. (Well, currently at the time of writing they are, anyway, currently; no idea if this will continue to be the case later :-s)

That sounds like a hell of a good memory to have, LittleLurker. Hat off to you for doing that even from a position of being pressured and undermined.
Good for you, LittleLurker. I’m glad you got out of there.
That’s what “negging” is all about. PUAs don’t expect it to work on every women. They use it to identify potential “seduction” (read: coercion) targets: women who are unsure about their boundaries and won’t put up much resistance to enforce them. It’s thoroughly vile.
What these idiots dont realise is that you can still form meaningful relationships with women without intimacy and sex
PUA is a load of immoral rubbish. Their idea is that sex is the end goal, another point on the scoreboard and the consequences (emotional/mental/social) for the woman is not important. Selfish manipulation
They don’t WANT to do that. You’d be as well telling them to make friends with their microwave.
@opposablethumbs, re: guardian article. Good piece, Kimmel done has a decent service with his interviews with extremists. I disagree on one point, tho, I don’t believe he gives enough weight to the effects of economic disenfranchisement on the growth of extremism in the third world. And among the left in the industrialized countries (first world?). Note, this does not apply to the right in the industrialized world, as their (whites at least) economic disenfranchisement is all in their heads.
Don’t care how much good service Kimmel has done.
If you’re in an argument and your go to insult is “gay” or variations, you can fuck right off. Even if you’re arguing with a tosser.
Looks like Tony Robbins has gone full Warren “men are oppressed by sexy butts” Farrell.
https://www.glamour.com/story/tony-robbins-metoo-burke-response
Who’s surprised? I’m not.
His brand of “self help” is all about victim blaming bullshit. It’s no surprise he’d apply that to sexual abuse.
@Shadowplay:
I think you might be confusing Michael Kimmel with Jimmy Kimmel.
@opposablethumbs
That’s a really good piece, and Kimmel makes some important points in it. He’s absolutely right that toxic masculinity (though he doesn’t use the term) and the way it intersects with men’s self-identity to lead them into very toxic modes of thought and action. That said, I personally am a bit wary of Kimmel; I think it’s very important that the sociology of masculinity be studied, and I appreciate him doing it, but his 2008 book Guyland struck me as weirdly wrongheaded (and I was unable to finish it). In an early chapter of that book he seemed to argue there was a natural progression for men from children through adolescence to adulthood which he specifically characterised as marriage and fatherhood (not, mind, describing this view as a cultural ideal or anything, it seemed to accept it), and claiming a lot of the problems were with the adolescent/early adulthood period being extended indefinitely and never moved on from. I’m not denying he observed some real phenomena, but the theory he put forward to explain it (and the equation of maturity with fatherhood) came off as very heteronormative and dismissive to me (especially as someone who is childfree by choice and on the demi/ace spectrum) and convinced me it wasn’t worth reading further.
It’s entirely possible he addressed this later in the book, or that his thinking has moved on from this in later work, but as that seemed to be a central thesis of the book the former at least seemed unlikely to me. I was very disappointed to find this in a book that had come to me very highly recommended; I don’t remember exactly the context in which it was recommended to me, but I think it might’ve been around the start of gamergate?
It also makes me want to link this piece, which I first read a couple of years ago and think is an excellent breakdown of how this works, and how easy it is to get sucked into: “Masculinity is an Anxiety Disorder” http://uncannymagazine.com/article/masculinity-is-an-anxiety-disorder-breaking-down-the-nerd-box/
I’ve been thinking about trying to write a piece at some point about male homosociality (NB: not a typo) and how it reinforces these kind of toxic dynamics, as well as encouraging the dehumanisation of women, but I just haven’t had the energy to write for so long that I doubt I’ll be productive any time soon.
@Mish, SFHC et al on the Hbomb issues
Thanks so much for bringing this up, I’d been completely unaware any of this was going on and it’s really disturbing. I like Hbomb’s work but this is the first I’d heard of any of it (which, if I’m interpreting this correctly, appears to be by design?). I will definitely be looking into this more.
