The Daily Stormer wants International Women’s Day replaced by “White Sharia Day”

And a happy International Women’s Day to you too!

By David Futrelle

So the Daily Stormer, everyone’s favorite “funny” neo-Nazi shit site, has weighed in on International Women’s Day. In a post (archived here) ostensibly covering the massive Women’s Day strikes in Spain, but which is actually just an excuse to talk shit, DS contributor “Roy Batty” declares that “[w]omen have been really fucking up in the West.”

“Batty” offers a nice long list of the terrible things (and allegedly terrible things) that he thinks women have foisted on Western countries.

[H]ere are some of the benefits that brave, stronk and empowered wimmins have brought to our societies:

college false rape allegations
mass migration from shithole countries
divorce rape
school shooters
fines for not wearing bicycle helmets
consumerism
wages cut in half
herpes
fat acceptance
speech codes

So thanks, ladies?

Damn these dastardly women and their herpes-infused bicycle helmets!

No, but seriously, I can’t even talk to Western women anymore. So I’m not going to be wishing them a Happy Women’s Day. Because they’ve squandered any goodwill I could have felt towards them.

Here’s to replacing this squandered holiday with White Sharia day in the West very, very soon.

“White sharia” is alt-right slang for white dudes having total patriarchal control of “their” women in a future white supremacist ethnostate.

“Batty” would also like to have a couple of other holidays added to the calendar.

If we’re going to have International Woman’s Day though, there should also be an “International Burn a Witch Day” and “International Shame a THOT Day.”

It’s only fair that we reward AND punish.

Huh. These proposed holidays sound more than a little bit like MRA deadbeat grandaddy Paul Elam’s infamous “Bash a Violent Bitch Month.” Maybe the Daily Stormer got the idea from him? Or maybe it’s just that terrible minds think alike — and that these terrible minds love to think of allegedly uppity women getting taken down a peg or two.

Hey, I can play this game, too.

Happy International MRAs and Nazis Eat Shit Day!

@Dali

Got some things to work a minute ago, among them Discord, I’m looking into the other stuff now. I’m still not ruling out something shitty and deliberate but another explanation came up : broadband. Usually those problems are also shitty and deliberate because my ISP is an ogre.

Has anybody seen this making the rounds? It’s a decent response to “women treat men as disposable.” https://imgur.com/JoCXW9z
For those who can’t see the image, it’s a female janitor scrubbing the chalk message “Happy International Women’s Day” off the Clarendon steps at Oxford University while four men stand around talking to each other.

And this is just a funny thing about gender reveal parties: https://imgur.com/LdKDtho

Well, this is a shock. Who knew that a Nazi would turn his violence against his wife.

Adding to the drama, Heimbach had been having an affair with his father-in-law’s wife, which was what started the brouhaha. His father-in-law is also a white supremacist.

Prominent White Nationalist Matthew Heimbach Charged With Felony Domestic Battery

Barely a week after brawling with antifascists outside a Richard Spencer speaking event at Michigan State University, Matthew Heimbach, chairman of the neo-Nazi Traditionalist Worker Party, has been charged with domestic battery.

Indiana court filings show that state prosecutors filed two charges, battery and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, against Heimbach on Tuesday. The high-profile national socialist was released on $1,000 bond. Neither Heimbach nor the Orange County Prosecutor’s Office immediately responded to requests for comment.

Hey, anybody watching the results of the special election in Pennsylvania? Lamb(D)is ahead of Sascione(R)by about 1000 votes (which is less than 1 percent)and they’ve counted about 95% of the votes now(so I’ve read)If a Democrat wins this district(Trump won the district by 20 percent in 2016)i think that will make a mildly impressive point, especially considering the fact that it’s so gerrymandered in favor of the Republican Party the courts ruled they have to fix it. I’m hopeful. Also Pompeo becoming Secretary of state is a fucking disaster IMO. Tillerson is useless and has no clue what hes doing, but Pompeo is actively horrible on purpose.

Bakunin, thanks for that reference. I had had absolutely no idea about Cline and his ostentatious nerd-wankery. As I recall, my younger son recently read “Ready Player One”; the dense thicket of ’80s references must have been as opaque to him as WWII jokes would have been to me at his age.

There was a link included, though it seems to have been eaten by a mammoth. Possibly to spare everyone from the awfulness, it was on the level of the high-T-kus from the other day. Cline also seems to have little idea of what sort of porn is available, and it really is massively incel-esque in tone.

Kat,

What kills me about that whole thing (besides the obvious, I mean) is that they listed their occupations on the police reports as White Nationalists!

Shadowplay,

I know. ? He is with the stars, now.

And apparently there is no honor among white nationalists, given that Heimbach was having a secret affair with a fellow Nazi’s wife — a woman who also happened to be his mother-in-law. And now I feel a need to shower.

@KatieKitten420

Hey, anybody watching the results of the special election in Pennsylvania?

Yesss! PA is my home state and I couldn’t be happier — despite the fact that Lamb isn’t all that progressive. But he does appreciate unions! Plus Donald Trump has been rebuked by his base.

Lamb is nowhere near as progressive as I’d like, I totally agree. But he seems to actually give a least a small fuck about people and issues(and yes, the fact that my bar is that low for politicians now is utterly depressing)and right now the more democrats the better, it’s so not the time or place to make perfect the enemy of good(or even the enemy of adequate)

Rest in peace, Stephen. As a person you were the worst of us, but as a thinker you advanced humanity enormously, and as an influencer you made our field far better and more inclusive.

I’m surprised by the amount of feelings I have about this.

That was hands down the best analogy and explanation I’ve seen. With bonus cookies (or bickies as we say in the Antipodes)!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post it. I wish I’d had a teacher like you in my undergrad years 🙂

@Katamount

Your description of the arguments about sex ed was almost word for word what we had here during the marriage equality plebiscite. Opponents kept linking it to the Safe Schools program and claiming all sorts of horrors were imminent. There were literally people saying “I’m not homophobic but did you know they’re going to force toddlers to talk about anal sex? And they’ll have primary school children learn how to breast bind and penis tuck!!!”

All before morning tea, I imagine …

Re Stephen Hawking (PeeVee’s tweet earlier today was beautiful, by the way):
I wouldn’t say he was “the worst of us” myself. Given what he had to live with, his misdeeds were fairly mundane in the greater scheme of things. But he did mis-treat people (his first wife especially), and was forgiven by almost everyone. You’ll get some vicious pushback in some circles if you mention it, too.

Agree with EJ, however, that news of Hawking’s passing hit me harder than I’d have thought. Perhaps because he was so remarkable, and because he was my gateway into really appreciating science.

Yeah, anal sex was the other thing that had the puritans up in arms. “You’re gonna teach kids about anal in Kindergarten!” Hmmm, no, it actually says that if asked about it after Grade 7, teachers can tell a student they shouldn’t feel pressured to do it and it still carries significant risk of blood-borne STDs.

But speaking of assholes….

RE: Space Force Coast to Coast

*sigh* Okay, this buttwhistler is just culture-jamming now. This is one aspect of the modern discourse that really grinds my gears and (at least to me) is that the democratizing effects of social media means any half-baked idea farted out by some jackass with a substantial following, be he PewDiePie or the President has to be beaten down. We all have to drop what we’re doing because we have to explain to grandpa and the people who listen to grandpa that arming old Mrs. Wormwood would be a really bad idea and spend a whole news cycle telling everybody that grandpa had a really dumb idea and have a roundtable discussion on that dumb idea… instead of say, discussing universal health care or lifting the cap on Social Security payments, the kind of thing we elect people to work on on our behalf!

And this jackass can do it with just a couple of words. A tweet. Covfefe. Space Force. All the air, just gone.

If there’s any case to be made for bringing back the gatekeepers, this is it. Memeing about Space Force can be fun and cathartic, but that’s one less moment we have to do something else. Anything else. I’d rather be writing or doing art than worrying about what Doug Ford’s gonna do to my province. And I’m a white guy, so I’m only feeling a fraction of what a native family has to deal with.

*sigh* Gonna miss Stephen Hawking. I hope he and Dick Feynman are having fun up there in the cosmos.

Valid point. It’s a distraction, and one people will gratefully grab hold of to avoid the horrendous shit.

Having said that – were it really necessary to throw grandpa in there?

@Mish:
I’ve been thinking about this. If you’d asked me a week ago, then I would have said that Hawking was a dick to people, that he enjoyed being a dick to people, and that he was more of a dick to people than anyone else in the field I can think of offhand. It was not a major, notable sort of dickishness, just a minor petty grinding not-a-pleasant-person-to-be-aroundness. A week ago, this would have been an uncontroversial thing to say.

It’s not right to expect people with disabilities to be angelic; but it’s also not right to say that his dickishness came from his motor neuron disease. Some people can be both disabled and also be dicks.

On the other hand, when I think about it now, what occurs to me is that he never tried to normalise his dickishness the way that some people in other fields have. He didn’t want dickishness to become normal and accepted, he didn’t expect everyone to be a dick to the people he was being a dick to, and he didn’t try to mold his students into dicks. He was a dick to people in private, but when he tried to influence the field it was for the better, and he always tried to encourage the sorts of kindness and thoughtfulness that he himself never showed much of.

The dickish aspects are now dead. The better legacy will live on.

Apologies if this was emotional; I’m trying to not just dump my feels on everyone.

First they complain about immigration from (inter alia) the Islamic world, and then they want Sharia. Once again, their demands don’t even make sense on their own terms.

Anyone else think Trump appointing a torturer to be the first ever female CIA head is a deliberate despoliation of what would otherwise have been a cause for feminists to celebrate whenever it finally happened?
