From the Unpopular Opinions subreddit, a rather ingenious explanation as to why it’s much, much worse for men (well, cis men) to cheat on (cis) women than it is for women to cheat on men:
This was an unpopular opinion even for Reddit, with everyone in the comments arguing against this unique insight from OpinionManVIP, who not only seems to have never had sex but also to have never watched any porn. Seriously, dude, if you believe this you are Very Bad at Sex.

Heh, I saw that JDSM’s post state with “Actually…” and thought “I bet they’re a manospherian!”
Still confirming to stereotypes after all these years, and so much mockery. Good work, guys.
I once had a horrible boyfriend who explained to me that it’s worse for a woman than for a man to sleep around because since vaginas are holes they end up being more FILTHY from having many different penises inserted into them than penises are from being inserted into many different holes. Logic!
I guess penis cooties can’t be vanquished from a vagina with soap and water.
@Dvärghundspossen
Both sexes would be rubbing their mucus membranes against other peoples (unless some form of barrier were to be used) which is why fluid bonding is a thing.
Regarding JDSM – I’m not sure which is more twee, the random capitalization of nouns or the final ‘tsk tsk tsk’.
The smug pseudo-erudition with which the assumptions dressed as facts are presented is not twee, merely tiresome. We’re a long way from the HOUSE DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH.
Yeah I know, it makes no sense, but he was horrible. When I started dating him I had slept with six people, which he thought was way too much, so he kept slut-shaming me. You’d think it would make more sense simply not to date someone in the first place who’s slept with six people if you think that’s a horribly high number, but sense was not his strong side…
I stuck with him for a year anyway because I was in a bad place when we started dating and I sort of became emotionally dependent on him. And then my sense of self preservation finally kicked in and I broke up for good.
Saw troll.
Got pleased that I’d have a troll dismemberment to watch this evening. 🙂
Read troll.
Got sad because no one is going to bother with their A-game for that pile of derivative crap. 🙁
1/10.
Robert,
He tsk, tsk, tsked in the holographic girlfriend thread too. I guess it’s his thing. Pretentious and creepy all at once.
ehehehehehee
JDSM showed up a month or so ago, making a few weird comments that seemed a bit off, but not enough for me to comment on them. One of them suggesting that it couldn’t possibly be coincidence that there were 13 Russians indicted by Mueller (as if *all feminists are superstitious!*), and the second about how if the shooter at Parkland is Jewish according to alt-rightists, what about Ted Cruz, who has the same last name? And now here’s a big old MRA screed, delivered right from the bowels.
I’m laughing, imagining the ploy here. “I’ll post a couple comments, get through the moderation filter, make’m trust me, and then pow! i’ll hit’em with the trooth! They won’t know what hit’em!”
And then disappear? Seriously, JDSM? A couple weeks lead-in to this? You know David will let MRA comments in, right? He does, honestly. You don’t have to play pretend. We can see through your act anyways, it’s just silly. You have no idea what we think, how we behave, or what we believe; you just have your straw-feminist perceptions of us. Just be honest.
Bet they won’t come back to address the critiques, either. You’re wrong, you Dunning-Kruger candidate.
@JDSM (cos the pun would be too obvious)
Meanwhile, my love life…
1)my asexuality is a disease, where have I heard that before -_-
2)so… can children not love? Or do they hafta fuck 1st? Cos this is either an oversight and you dunno, or you do know and blergh!
Don’t appropriate AAVE if you don’t know what it means. Also, are the dudes fuckin each other in restrooms not gay? Orientation is not action and all, but, I mean, presumably most of em, right?
You heard it here. A sexually liberated world (by which is meant a world that conforms to this asshat’s assfax assumptions of how sex works) will have no serial killers
The takeaway from the Aziz thing is that he shoulda waited to be gross and pushy until she fell in love with him. Cos you can’t force your girlfriend/wife to have sex ohwaityoucan
Prostitution and sexual abuse have existed since the dawn of civilization. Why’d it take so long between basically forever ago and now to get into feminism, let alone 3rd wave. And porn is almost as old, but even if we only go back to the ‘sexual revolution’, that’s, what, 30yrs between then and the 3rd wave? There’s not even correlation here
The Dean of Assfax Junior Community College, gentlefolks
You really need to watch more porn/get out more. Cos ntr is only infamous and reviled in circles that have an existing hangup about cuck… old… ry… Oh. That explains a lot then…
Speaking of explaining a lot, I’m thinking this troll has only ever seen hentai/doujin. Like, ever. Cos maybe this is just poor wording. Or maybe they think cisdudes/penis wielders can all open up their junk and shoot tentacles out for hot, impreganatey group sex action. I report, you decide
Are there not too many bi guy doujins? If so, my theory just might have legs. Needs more research!
(Also, *waves in asexy* hiya, I’m Axe ?)
Fuckin why tho? XD
Good for you on getting out of there, Dvärghundspossen. Anyone who gives a damn about how many partners you’ve had sounds like they’ll just be trouble in the end.
WWTH, I missed the holographic girlfriend one! Oh well.
Upvote to you, Scildfreja Unnydnes (sorry, don’t know how to make that letter 🙂 )
@Scildfreja
You know, after Kevin Smith had that heart attack, I was reflecting on his filmography. Chasing Amy has not aged well….
When our seagull eating friend had a meltdown and revealed he was almost certainly MRAL, he said he had gotten that sock through moderation by making an innocuous comment. Then again, if JDSM was really Miggs, he’d probably have replied by now.
Meanwhile, get a load of this
https://thinkprogress.org/kentucky-child-marriage-79991589ad21/
In a rare instance of a Republican actually opposing child sex abuse, a state senator is KY introduced a bill to outlaw child marriage. Then a religious right organization put pressure on Republicans and they killed the bill.
Disgusting.
But sure, the Republican party is the party of morals. I totally buy that.
Thus Spake ZaraDvärghundspossen:
Presumably he never asked you to kiss him. After all, his mouth is a hole too, and think of all the things we put in mouths.
Oh, and if anyone wants to scold these child rape apologists, here ya go

It really hasn’t. But I’ll always have soft spots for Clerks and Mallrats. Both movies are more disgusting than Chasing Amy in terms of the humor but are far less offensive.
Sorry to spam, but Sam Nunberg is currently having an on air meltdown on MNBC and it is hilarious.
Mueller subpoenaed him and he’s refusing to comply. And he’s going back to that talking point from last week about how Hilary should’ve protected her emails and if Trump and Putin wanted to use those emails against her it’s totally fine.
Interesting.
ETA: Now he’s saying Trump may have done something. Previously he had done it.
Very strange conversation.
@WWTH
Yeah, Mallrats and Clerks continue to be family in-jokes. My mom cut out a newspaper article about a kid injured by an escalator just to drop the Brodie escalator speech when I was over last time. 😛
Fear and respect that escalator, kids!
Grosser humour to be sure, but both seemed to have an air of fun about them that just gets mired in slut shaming and bi-/homophobia in Chasing Amy.
I’m sure everyone here already knows this; but just in case you’re ever responding to a “But her emails!” discussion, it might be worth pointing out that it was Colin Powell who advised Hilary on how to use her personal email, and he used to do exactly the same thing.

(Actually, it probably wouldn’t make a difference, double standards seemingly the way of the world these days)
All these Internet Nazis keep saying the Empire from Star Wars were the good guys and I was half convinced the “independent contractors” bit from Clerks (or was it Clerks II) was the source of that idea until I realized this was the Internet we’re talking about here.
Also, my first college roommate loved Clerks, and he was an asshole, so I formed a poor opinion about the film early on and haven’t really examined it.
@Falconer
I’ve seen that too, and I don’t quite understand why they’re making that claim given that the Empire literally murdered a planet. And not for any strategic gain, just to show off their new toy. They’re going to have a tough time explaining that away. *shrug*
OT: hbomb has a new soy-based video out, and it’s what I believe the young people among us would call a “sick burn”:
Speaking of Victorians … they weren’t all THAT repressed. Google for issues of the infamous magazine The Pearl. All sorts of kinks and techniques were represented in those pages: incest, naughty schoolgirls, sex in the great outdoors, orgies, spanking, etc. You name it and the Victorians wrote about it. The only advantages we have include battery-operated toys and other modern inventions.
Electromechanical vibrators were invented towards the end of the 19th Century – so still Victorias’s time. In 1929, they were one of the top 10 electrical items in the house.
Sexy times ain’t new. Just seems that way because thinking of your parents having sex is “nope”, thinking of your grandparents having sex and actually enjoying it is “hell no!” 😛
