Women in abusive relationships should be jailed as accomplices, “involuntarily celibate” Redditor argues

What incels fantasize about

By David Futrelle

Leave it to the terrible excuses for human beings who populate the Incels subreddit to take victim blaming to its perverse extreme.

women in abusive relationships should be sent to prison (self.Incels) submitted 17 days ago by Alia_Harkonnen They are the fuel for their abusive Chads they'll later cry about, they are just as bad but also spineless and disgusting. They aren't victims of anything at all. they are in on it. If beating someone up is a crime than willingly letting them beat you up is supporting a criminal activity and should get them locked up as conspirators. Of course if it can be proven that they didn't have a choice cause they were locked in a basement or if they report the Chad and leave, then they shouldn't go to prison. But if they are caught in an ongoing relationship with history of abuse, they should be treated like criminals they are and not like victims.

I’m not sure you really count as an “involuntary celibate” if you hold views so toxic that no women would even want to be in the same room as you.

By this logic, we can go over to the incel subreddit, unleash a torrent of abusive trolling, and then have them all arrested. After all, the fact that they received the abuse means they consented, and were therefore complicit in encouraging it. ?

I don’t think these shartmarks have thought this through very carefully.

Incels: If a woman isn’t literally tied down in a basement, then the first time he hits her she should just walk out, and if she doesn’t then she’s just as bad.

Also incels: It’s too easy for women to divorce men for no reason. It’s breaking up families and leading to degeneracy. We should make it harder for women to leave relationships.

I am due in IDV court (a NY project court that handles domestic violence) and from where I stand it feels like we already treat victims like criminals.

Something parallel to this happened some years ago in the UK.

If I remember rightly, the police had handed into them a video someone had found with a lot of BDSM stuff on it, and assumed that there was a murder investigation needed.

Turns out not only was nobody murdered: the people involved were positively enjoying the stuff they were doing and having done to them. Nobody had even needed to go to A&E with it, either.

But then the police decided they needed to justify the police time and prosecuted them for “conspiracy to commit assault” (ie, by consenting to BDSM).

If memory serves, some of them were jailed.

I think the law has since been changed, but it was a pretty tragic case.

Speaking of Degeneracy, we all saw Contra’s new video, rite? Orgies and dildos and wild gay parties…

*head-desk* These pricks are definitely not involuntarily celibate. I know enough people who’ve survived domestic violence that I can’t even find them funny right now.

bluecat: That’s amazing – was there a conviction? How is it even possible if the prosecutor already decided there was no evidence of assault?

But then the police decided they needed to justify the police time and prosecuted them for “conspiracy to commit assault” (ie, by consenting to BDSM).

That’s the infamous ‘Spanner’ case (or R -v- Brown & Ors if we’re being technical).

It’s a quirk of common law that you can be both victim and accessory. The textbook example is consenting to a fight. But it also used to be a common way of persecuting gay men, especially in buggery offences. And there have been some disturbing recent examples of rape victims appearing on the indictment as co-conspirators with their rapists.

ETA: you can consent to assault and ABH, and to the *risk* of GBH and death, but not to GBH and death themselves (in England)

Probably something most people here know, but in case there are any lurking incels or general abuse apologists, it should be pointed out that leaving an abusive relationship is the most dangerous time. So it’s just factually bullshit for them to claim that if abuse victims want to be safe, they’ll just walk out.

@ Alan – yes, “Spanner”… of course it was!

I remember friends in Italy (where I was living at the time) reading the hair-raising coverage when it was thought to be a multiple murder case, and some of the protests when the prosecution went ahead. Am I right in remembering that some of those who were jailed actually died in prison?

I’ve never heard of rape victims being done as “co-conspirators” before… good grief!

I guess being legally unable to consent to GBH and death applies to euthanasia cases too.

WWTH – good point.

Incels: Women are responsible for their own abuse and should be punished for it!

Also Incels: We are in NO WAY responsible for our lack of sexual activity.

A shocked face from me when this particular incel thinks that women who are forcibly locked up and abused shouldn’t be thought of as criminals. My expectations of them assumed that they would punish them as well, for being too ‘weak’ against Chad and allowing it – or something.

I don’t want to think about the positive replies other incels responded with to this post. You know he got some agreements with it.

It’s so weird how they think that all abusive men must be “Chads”.

When I was way younger I was in a rough spot and this friend of mine supported me. He was small and not conventionally handsome at all, not a big hit with the ladies or anything. I became, I guess, emotionally dependent on him. We started dating but he eventually became really mean – not physically abusive, but could reduce me to tears with the mean shit he’d say. Eventually I broke up with him and burned all bridges. But he was SO FAR from how these morons imagine a “Chad”.

I guess a later boyfriend was much more “Chad”-like in their mind, since he’d slept with half the county. But he was NICE for real! Go figure.

TW: abuser tactics

.

.

.

Abusers groom their victims to accept their abuse. They often make sure they have no access to money, keep them pregnant, buy them pets, refuse to allow them out of the house unmonitored, restrict their access to phones and internet, destroy their family relationships, convince then if they leave they can’t take clothes, family heirlooms, etc. They sometimes deny them medical help or basic grooming. They destroy their self-esteem and often target survivors of previous abuse because it is easier to convince them they are the problem and there is no such thing as a life without abuse for the victim.

These “incels” know these things. Redpillers, MRAs and PUAs teach each other how to use these tactics and most “incels” began their journey into this cult with those sites. When mgtows write about their fantasies of a perfect future with guaranteed female submission and enslavement, they write about the government enforcing those tactics for them.

Also, this “logic” would be yet another motive for a cautious woman to stay home with a dildo. Not what they’re hoping to achieve.

Don’t be silly! Women don’t need dildos; they don’t even enjoy sex. They just use it to control the wallets of men!

So by extension, would that not mean that anyone who knew of the abuse/rape and didn’t do anything to help, or actively impeded an investigation, would also be an accomplice?

Wait! You can use *dildos* to control the wallets of men! Why didn’t Katie tell me this when I was inducted into the Feminist Cult!

I hope you all don’t mind if I carry on here a bit…

TW because it’s upsetting.

My Mom passed away today 🙁

I am very upset. My friend has come to stay with me, my cousin helped me out a great deal earlier. Thank the spirits for her, I was on the verge of losing it.

Now my friend is here too, to keep me calm.
It’s so very sad 🙁 We’re telling ourselves that at least she went fast.

At times like these you realize how alone you are. I don’t have a lot of close family. No significant other, I’ve had way too many problems with men and gave up on it all.

I can’t believe she’s gone. I am stunned by this. Leaving out a lot of details, I found her. Dead. It was awful 🙁

I do have a few friends to help me out, I am grateful.

People need to take care of one another. This bull shit here – who in the hell wants to be an asshole and blame the victim?

The authorities in this case came right away. And everyone helped. Very good people. Police and paramedics offered condolences and were all very nice.

I live in Chicago and someLEO here are pretty much sadistic criminals, others are the utmost professionals. Of course it helps if you live in an “upscale area”. And a fairly routine death of an elderly person must be a pretty cut and dried thing.

Everyone was very nice though and seemed sincerely upset for me too. The one young kid paramedic, I think he was almost on the verge of tears.

They were all professional and helpful. And nice people.

Lurkers, please don’t be purposeful assholes. Be a good person. Care. It’s all that matters.
