Will these creepy pictures of Sebastian Gorka magically get him fired?

Seb Gorka with a tree growing out of his head

By David Futrelle

So on Thursday, I put up a post full of creepy pictures of Steve Bannon, just for the heck of it. The very next day he was booted from the White House.

Who knew I had such power?

Anyway, here are a bunch of creepy pictures of Sebastian Gorka I made with the help of DreamscopeApp. (Click on them for full-sized versions.) Will lightning strike twice?

@Axe
Nope, not seeing the p in an l in that pic. Perhaps you really wanted to see one?

@Kat
I found another reading of the Trump’s not showing up.
Perhaps the Kennedy Center Honors was getting enough actors and other people saying “We won’t be there if Trump is” this year, that they (quietly) asked them to stay home.

Apparently several honorees will NOT be showing up at the White House after party.

Axe,

Yeah, I see a Freak On A Leash, too.

I also see Flynn looking very Valdemort-esque.

But hey, I once saw a baby chick head in Trump’s chin on one of David’s masterpieces, so.

ARGH, Sorry folks… Part of what I said was more sexist than I intended.
I meant “actors and actresses and other artists”.

ETA: Maybe I got it right this time?

I feel like “actors” is often gender neutral these days. I think one of the major awards (maybe the SAG Awards?) actually has “Best Female Actor” categories.

One thing I remember from “It Can’t Happen Here” by Sinclair Lewis – the way the inner circle began to devour each other as soon as the wheels started to come off (to mix metaphors vigorously). It actually took longer in the book.

Dreemr, I’m one of the few people I know who has read “Atlas Shrugged”, including every line of the goes on forever ‘Your minds, your stupid stupid minds!’ speech. Ever since, I have described it as the Necronomicon of political fiction.

@Olhmann

Can one point me to a primer on how that particular people is an horrible person ? I didn’t heard of him yet, unlike Spencer or Devos.

I’m assuming you’re talking about Gorka. He’s a fake expert that showed up on fox news a bunch, so Trump thinks he’s smart (plus he has an accent.) He’s also just happens to coincidentally have several signifiers of being linked to neo-nazi hate groups…you know how SJW’s blow everything out of proportion to call people Nazis (like wearing neo-nazi group medals on tv, you know, little things that everyone does.)

Samantha Bee had a good intro to him:

Agreeing with others that “actors” is more gender neutral nowadays (I think). I prefer it myself rather than “actors and actresses”.

@Robert Walker-Smith

I guess I falsely assumed most people were passing familiar with Atlas Shrugged and/or The Fountainhead but I’m older than most ppl here so maybe that’s more of an old-fashioned thing.

I read both, many years ago, I think in my early 20s? It seems to appeal most (IM limited O) to people in their teens and 20s. When you’re a teenager, pure selfishness sound pretty good. Most seem to outgrow any slight admiration for it.

I admit to having enjoyed them at the time as stories but also being completely confused about the ads for further study of “Objectivism” offered in inserts in the book. To me it seemed like a very poorly-formed philosophy, although I’m sure most of that feeling was due to it being fiction and my own inability to recognize subtext. It just seemed pretty silly outside of being a soapy, melodramatic story.

I like your description of it,!

Everything about Bob Mercer just seems to scream sci-fi/cyberpunk villain. Like look at the snippet Google took from Wikipedia.

Robert Leroy Mercer, better known as Bob Mercer, is an American computer scientist, a developer in early artificial intelligence, and co-CEO of Renaissance Technologies, a successful hedge fund.

There’s this quote I read once, don’t remember where or who off the top of my head. And it’s something like this: “There are two books people read growing up that can change their lives; Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One of them is a fantasy novel, full of unrealistic actions that border on, and essentially are, magic. The other one has elves.”

It was John Rogers, and here’s the actual quote:

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

Trump didn’t have a choice. Three of the five honorees announced they weren’t attending because of Trump, a 4th was still undecided, and Gloria Estefan said she was only attending to tell Trump what a douchebag he is (paraphrased). There basically wouldn’t have been an event if he had insisted on coming.

Couldn’t it be both? Few wanted to be there with Trump in attendance. But if he had showed up, the invited guests who accepted the invitation might have gone as protesters.

Trump really doesn’t like to party with (or even share the same air with) people who aren’t Trump People.

Thanks for making the effort to get Trump & Pence out of office. It’s much appreciated.

Thanks for the link.

I have come to the conclusion that naturally-occuring shithead are alway surpass fictional one. I should put them, name and all, in a world of darkness chronicle, just to see if people react saying that even the Pentex have standards.

Here’s a real stomach-churner….Ayn Rand actually admired a gruesome child-murderer….

….The details of the crime itself are pure Nightmare Fuel and the girl’s father witnessed the results.

Ayn thought the killer was pure awesome.

Robert Mercer makes me think of L. Bob Rife in Neal Stephenson’s novel Snow Crash.

We desperately need fewer applied mathematicians and applied hard scientists who are right-wing Randroid “free market” types. There’s a really bad academic culture in universities of keeping code and detailed research results closed source and proprietary. Thanks to that culture, there’s a huge backlog of research results that we can’t reproduce and probably weren’t produced using a scientific methodology that minimizes researcher bias.

CN: Creepy crawlies
Seriously, don’t read if you have issues with many-legged critters.

I’m kind of a mess today. I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like a bunch of earwax was shifting around in my ear, so I got up, tried to clean it with a Q-tip, didn’t get much but it felt like things stopped shifting, so I went back to bed. I kept feeling it, like earwax was trying but not succeeding at escaping. That’s not an unfamiliar feeling for me because I have a defect in my ear canal that causes it to not drain or pop very well. Anyway, I get back up and this time I put some drops in. I’m sitting there with my head tilted and waiting for it to start fizzing like it does when it breaks up the wax and I glance in the mirror and there are insect legs coming out of my ear. I freak out and start yelling to my husband who’s still awake and on the computer that there’s something in my ear. I go in to show him, he can’t see anything, so we go back to the bathroom for light and there it is on the counter: a spider. So now I’m sobbing and freaking out because one of my worst phobias came true (well, my specific phobia was ear wigs because that was the dumb story my siblings told, but the inside the ear thing was the part that freaked me out). So of course I can’t sleep because spiders live in my ear now and my sweet husband stays up with me for hours watching a couple of my favorite movies. I eventually got tired enough to get some fitful sleep, but I kept waking up thinking there was something in my ear. And now that I’m awake it still feels like there’s something in my ear at all times. I mean, I don’t have that same feeling of something moving like last night, but my brain is constantly going “what was THAT?” at every little sensation in my ear. I’m never going to sleep well again.

Thanks.

Keep in mind that it literally takes HOURS (Unless you pay). It’s best to let the pic initially load completely, then leave for a while.

Also; It you want the person in question to still be somewhat recognizable, be sure the photo is Medium-to-Large sized. 800-1000 pixels across is good (one can resize with an art program or photo hosting site).

Hopefully the DreamScope curse will “Ork”….comment image

I think we got a new meme-slang thingy: “Ork”.

Ork is WHTM-slang for “work”.
