@JS, My theory is that Bannon has been using Trump as a useful tool for pushing his hateful race war, and can see that he’s no longer useful for that. So now he’s going back to his base to rally them against The Left, having polarized them sufficiently. The story will be that Trump and the Mainstream Media have villified them unjustly, and they’re a bunch of commie pinko globalists bent on taking their freedom.
That’s my guess at least!

Does anyone else have the page jump around whenever there’s a post featuring a lot embedded tweets? It’s driving me up the wall. Especially now that practically every post is about twitter.
Any way to fix it? I’m viewing the site on Chrome.
Anyway, I wouldn’t start assuming yet that the alt-reich will turn on Trump. They’re just going to say that Trump was forced into firing Bannon by the evil meanie pants liberal media.

Ugh the way the page scrolls when there are twitter embeds drives me up the wall, too. No real way to fix that outside of some very technical design choices on the design side.
I mean I suppose you could just block Twitter and all of its content delivery network, ’cause that’d block the AJAX that loads the twerts, making them stay as just text. But that’d require that you block all of Twitter, not sure if you want to do that.
weirwoodtreehugger: hit the ‘escape’ key and it will stop loading all the tweets it hasn’t loaded yet. That or walk away for a minute; when you come back it’ll be stable.

Happens to me with IE and Firefox, too. No idea how to solve it, but I started compensating a while ago by immediately scrolling down to the bottom of the screen upon loading…doesn’t stop the flicker, but at least I wind up in the Comments.
(Also, I just noticed I’ve been unconsciously adding an extra “d” in your name whenever I saw it. Apologies!)
