What a miserable weekend. All we can do is keep resisting. There are more of us than there are of them, and we have basic human decency on our side. A lot of people came out today across the country to show solidarity with the victims in Charlottesville, and there are more rallies planned.

By sheer coincidence, this ad was spammed on my doctoral school mailing list today:
On Trump: You don’t get points for doing the absolute minimum, no matter what. But if you need to be nagged for two days straight to do the absolute minimum, and you make it clear you’re doing that minimum under duress with the “And other hate groups” shit at the end, you lose points. You deserve a comeuppance.
On GoDaddy: They don’t get points for doing the minimum either. I don’t give a crap about trying to encourage future good behavior. THEY NEED TO BE PROACTIVE ABOUT NOT ALLOWING HATE GROUPS TO USE THEIR SERVICES.
On me: My cat died at about 10:15 this morning, and I am just so lost now. I miss him. I keep thinking I’m going to see him. My mind keeps trying to find ways to punish me for letting him die, even though that’s not how it works.
I realize Puffball is nothing next to Heather Heyer or all the people the nazis have murdered, but it’s hit me.
