What a miserable weekend. All we can do is keep resisting. There are more of us than there are of them, and we have basic human decency on our side. A lot of people came out today across the country to show solidarity with the victims in Charlottesville, and there are more rallies planned.
On to the tweets:
I need white people to stop feigning surprise with their "this is not america" nonsense.
Yes it is, boo. Where you been living?

But that is in part of the motivation with these guys; more precisely, they’re angry that women can and do say no to them. See this thread:
When I say that this is a movement of men who are desperately mad that no one will fuck them, I am actually not just making fun of them.

you know when we didn't have nazi rallies in the streets? sometime before popular shitlords started justifying/excusing white supremacists pic.twitter.com/OwBsx1T2Rb

Nothin, if they aren't Nazis. Feminists have been called Nazis for decades and haven't unfurled a swastika flag yet. https://t.co/7JtxIqLsuw

The argument that there are Nazis b/c we call people Nazis is so absurd it's hard to believe even the people making it think it's true.

Good doggie!!
Alexandra Erin nailed it. Feminists have been smeared as “feminazis” for years, and yet somehow we’re not marching around with swastikas.
Gee, it’s almost as if Nazis are Nazis because of their own choices, and not because somebody called them that.
I’m addition to Tiki the Detroit Red Wings hockey team (who’s logo appeared on the shield’s on as group of these jackasses) has also disavowed them (and I felt implied a lawsuit).
Goddamned assholes.
Trump is a fucking bloody coward. Piece of shit.
That elderly woman with her sign…?
HAPPY (and surprisingly quick) UPDATE: GoDaddy is booting the daily stormer, giving them 24 hours to move the domain elsewhere.
@David Futrelle
THEY’RE WHAT?
Holy shit. That’s amazing news! And then we out the next host, until there is nowhere left on the internet for them.
Maybe this is the point where people finally start turning against Trumpism, recognizing what it really is, and realizing that it’s too dangerous to tolerate.
Maybe.
I’m kind of amazed that the Daily Stormer was hosting on Godaddy all this time without getting kicked off for violating the TOS.
@D
It had better be. And if it isn’t, we shall make it so.
I went to a rally in Blacksburg today. Not a huge turnout, but I guess that’s not surprising given it was planned very last-minute. Still, a couple hundred people at least, and the police stopped traffic on the streets around as as we marched through town. We need to do more, though.
I sent GoDaddy a thank you message on Twitter. They shouldn’t have hosted them in the first place, but if they get enough positive press from this, maybe they and other companies will refuse to host hate sites more often.
Yesssss, GoDaddy!
Fuck Go daddy. Why doesn’t they kick daily Stormer away years ago? Every thing there already hate speach. But they wait until now? Молодец morons – you also are to blame.
I might not fit the “girl” description because I’m an elderly 37, but I can’t say I looked at those pictures of Nazis and thought about how’d I’d go home with them if I encountered them in a bar. Actually, I was trying to decide which of them I’d least like to fuck. They all tied for the honor of least fuckable man ever.
This girl wouldn’t want them anyway because she’s a lesbian. That counts as breaking their vapid assertion.
Ha ha ha, Nazi scum Anglin.
Feels disgusting to praise a company that took this long to realise a neo-Nazi propaganda site violated their terms of service. What the fuck terms of service do they have??
Still, better late than never, I suppose. Baby steps.
It will be darkly hilarious when, a year from now, they’re on a dodgy bulletproof hosting provider in Russia with an obscure country-code TLD, right next door to the seedy hacker forums and malware bot C&C systems whose services and owners helped put Trump in power.
Godwin’s law is irrelevant the moment you unfurl that flag. A flag is a potent symbol and if you have a swastika on your big red flag then you are a NAZI. I meant were do you even buy a fucking nazi flag anyway? I bet ebay would have a rule against it – they wouldn’t let me sell a golliwog thimble once.
To elaborate on what I said above, the blasé reaction to Trump over the past few years lowered my expectations so much that I’m actually surprised to see such a widespread backlash now. Political centrists and so-called moderate Republicans could have blamed the counter-protesters, but I haven’t seen them do that. They could have argued that Trump has nothing to do with his neo-Nazi fanbase, but I haven’t seen them do that, either. Of course, the White House and its hard-line supporters are pulling those tricks, but for once they don’t seem to be gaining traction.
I’m not saying things will necessarily get better from here, but at least it feels like a possibility now.
Ooh, I sense a business opportunity selling cut price burdizzos, elastrators, paramedic shears and small glass jars of white vinegar. I don’t believe there’s a handy one-stop website that serves the people the daily stormer is referring to, and “every girl on the planet” is a pretty impressive market segment by anyone’s definition.
It’s a measure of how debased the republican party has become that people are applauding republican politicians for bravely taking the position that murder is bad.
@Drumpf:
Oh, really? Then why is there a very large movement across that entire nation calling itself “Resist!” that was conspicuous in its absence during, say, the Obama administration?
Looks from where I’m sitting like the opposite is happening.
Egads, that looks an awful lot like a white nationalist dogwhistle. Know who else is always talking about “heritage”? Nazis and their fellow-travelers.
Sure looks more and more like you are one of them, and not even just a hollow vessel into which any phlegmwad can pour any political position and many phlegmwads have.
Maybe you already know, but Godwin had this to say : https://twitter.com/sfmnemonic/status/896884949634232320
You’d think people claiming that calling people nazi’s is what turns them into nazi’s would be very, very careful about claiming that other people are performing “white genocide”, wouldn’t you?
