Pickup artist types tend to look on masturbation as a stumbling block in the way of true Red Pill greatness. If you’re not sexually frustrated pretty much all the time, you see, you’ll never have the “discipline” necessary to learn and try to use all the creepy sex-getting tactics taught in places like the Red Pill subreddit.
Naturally, Red Pillers get pretty inventive in coming up with reasons why masturbation is bad. But few have been quite so inventive as a devoted Red Pill Reddit no-Fapper called, ironically, faplordxd.
In a comment on the Red Pill subreddit today, he explains that
when you Fap to porn you’re essentially just cucking yourself because you’re jerking off to another guy fucking “your girl” so it makes you beta
Ingenious!
Happily. though I’m not sure faplordxd fully recognizes it, this logic can be extended to pretty much every situation in which you’re watching or reading about or hearing about someone doing something that you’re not doing.
If you’re watching the Superbowl, you’re Superbowl-Cucking yourself because YOU’RE NOT PLAYING IN THE SUPERBOWL.
When you’re reading about whoever invented the Post-it inventing the Post-it, you’re Post-it-Cucking yourself because YOU COULD BE INVENTING THE POST-IT!
When you notice your cat licking its own butt you are Cat-Butt-Cucking yourself because YOU COULD BE LICKING YOUR CAT’S BUTT!
Ok, that last example wasn’t such a good one.
But the point is simple: unless you want to be a cuck, you should either do EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME or maybe just staple your eyes and ears and mouth shut. That’s the ALPHA way.
@Alan
The question isn’t really “Can MRA’s change?”, it’s “Will they change?” The way our culture makes excuses for them now, the answer is “no.” They’re essentially sociopathic narcissists (not in a clinical diagnosis sense) because they won’t change for reasons other than self-interest, and they get plenty of benefits from being bigots and evading accountability.
I assume that’s why MRA’s are irredeemable at this point.

@Grand High Adjutant Mish
What Mish said!
Mish, what your son did to the figure is totally awesome and I can tell he’s gonna go places in the art world already with improvisation of that caliber.
@Sinkable John
You’re right, the mannequin does look annoyed, and seems to be saying, “I thought my life was going to be better than this. I thought I was going to be purchased by an artist for some nice sketches, and that I’d make something of my life.”
We are all that mannequin right now, I feel.
@Iseult The Idle
This is real life HandMaid’s tale.
@Iseult:
While I agree heartily with the sentiment, I don’t think these guys should be rewarded with any kind of sex…even the own-goal kind.
@PeeVee
Something you might find interesting, now that you’ve been initiated into the mysteries of figure drawing mannequins:
Japan recently made mannequins with the proportions of anime-style characters.
They are called Body-kun and Body-chan
There are animal mannequins as well:

@ fran
You’ve got me thinking about The Arthur thing! Wasn’t aware of the Japanese interpretation. Like it though. Once and future king. So no reason he couldn’t regenerate as a young girl any more than Dr Who couldn’t. 🙂
Funnily enough was reminiscing with Varalys about old 2000AD stories. One called Slaine. He’s a hyper macho warrior type. Ends up bring reincarnated throughout history to fight the goddess’s battles. And always ends up hooked up with the great love of his life who’s similarly reincarnated. The goddess has a sense of humour though and eventually decides to reincarnate Mebd as a bloke (“Hey, it’s reincarnation. You’re lucky she’s not a frog”)
Fran and Nequam,
Huh! This is so cool! (I always learn something from my fellow Mammotheers!)
Fran, after you took that picture, did you re-pose it? Defiant Girl pose comes to my mind.
I’d’ve been tempted if it was one of those mannequins with articulated hands…
The only mannequin I’d seen with articulated hands (as opposed to an articulated wooden standalone hand model) was a life-sized one at a nearby art store. It’s pretty impressive.
Ooooh, one hand jauntily on the hip, the other with an elegant finger extended. (Not the pinky, either)
It’s pretty much hopeless “rehabilitating” adult misogynist men who are over 25 or so on a wide societal scale. Maybe helping teenagers choose to stop going down that path and radically changing how boys are
socialized will help, but having sympathy for adult bigots will make it harder for their victims.
When you see those people who “convert” racists, they usually change the minds of one or two people out of hundreds.
@ Alan
Not to spoil too much, but in Fate/Stay Night’s case, it’s that Arthur was a girl to start with, but she and the closest people around her kept that secret, passing her off as the “boy king” (the sword in the stone stopped her physical aging).
Granted, the original reason the author made (or was convinced to make) Arturia a girl was…problematic. But frankly, since the result was Saber, I can’t be mad.
@ kupo
They gave her a pretty amazing outfit in Fate/Zero, too. Not as fancy as the armored gown, but she rocks the black suit look.
@Ray of Rays
Oh my, Saber in that black suit …
????
@runsinbackgound I’m a bit late to this but I wanted to share my thoughts. While I understand your position on MRAs, Redpillers and Puas I don’t think you’re going to get anything from analysing their psychology and their behaviour. As History Nerd said they are adults and radicalized to the core, nothing will change their mind. Most of them spent years swallowing redpills and acting upon them, backed and supported by other dudes that filled them with rage and reinforced their bias over and over again.
@ ray of rays
As is so often the case with pop culture references here, I popped over to TV Tropes to try to get some background. Heh, now I’m even more confused. 🙂
If you need me I’ll be outside yelling at some clouds.
@ Alan
My sympathies. In the Nasuverse (the world of Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai, and other Type-Moon works), being brain-meltingly confusing is a feature, not a bug. It’s part of my love for the universe. ^_^
Just to leave you with more (in case more clouds appear), Fate/Stay Night has a spear with the magic power of reversing cause-and-effect (you’re stabbed in the heart, therefore it stabs you in the heart), and Tsukihime has a character who is immortal because the universe itself firmly believes she’s actually someone else who’s still alive.
@ Mish
Right?

If being racist/sexist/homophobic in public was as socially stigmatized as smoking indoors, it might discourage racist, sexist, and homophobic people from exhibiting those behaviors.
I am old enough to remember when smoking in a restaurant or bar was normative behavior. In many parts of the United States, that is no longer true.
It’s remarkable to think that the multifarious health hazards of inhaling tobacco smoke (voluntarily or otherwise) had less effect on public conduct than the social disfavor engendered by the deliberate social engineering of anti-smoking propaganda.
@PeeVee
Yes! I moved it into a Sailor Senshi pose!

When I go back to that Walmart I will check to see what happened.
@ ray of rays
I love that suit. Although I’m probably missing the point of anime if my first thought on seeing it is “nice tailoring” 🙂
@Sir Alan
Well, anime studios go out of their way to design the clothes their characters wear so that the people who watch it will want to also wear the same clothes, so, actually, you’re doing it right.
Sounds like you’ve got a career in cosplaying – the science of dressing up like anime characters – set out for you, I’d say.
Mind you, I’m not saying you have to do it personally; if you don’t feel like doing it yourself, you could always start a cosplay studio and use your professional insight to outfit a stable of models to do it for you.
Cosplaying is a lucrative, highly profitable industry these days. If I’m not dreadfully mistaken, some cosplayers are paid six-figure salaries just to dress up as anime and videogame characters.
@Fran,
Excellent! (Giggles)
@PeeVee
You’ve set me to a mission, now. I’m going to make it my personal duty to ensure that the mannequins at whatever Walmart I visit aren’t doing fashy bullshit.
I’ll use the other poses you suggested and anything else you might have to suggest.
@Almighty Fran, @PeeVee,
Ooooh, oooh, I got a pose for the mannequin!

@Grand High Adjutant Mish-nyan
By your will, it shall be done. This is an excellent suggestion.
