Pickup artist types tend to look on masturbation as a stumbling block in the way of true Red Pill greatness. If you’re not sexually frustrated pretty much all the time, you see, you’ll never have the “discipline” necessary to learn and try to use all the creepy sex-getting tactics taught in places like the Red Pill subreddit.
Naturally, Red Pillers get pretty inventive in coming up with reasons why masturbation is bad. But few have been quite so inventive as a devoted Red Pill Reddit no-Fapper called, ironically, faplordxd.
In a comment on the Red Pill subreddit today, he explains that
when you Fap to porn you’re essentially just cucking yourself because you’re jerking off to another guy fucking “your girl” so it makes you beta
Ingenious!
Happily. though I’m not sure faplordxd fully recognizes it, this logic can be extended to pretty much every situation in which you’re watching or reading about or hearing about someone doing something that you’re not doing.
If you’re watching the Superbowl, you’re Superbowl-Cucking yourself because YOU’RE NOT PLAYING IN THE SUPERBOWL.
When you’re reading about whoever invented the Post-it inventing the Post-it, you’re Post-it-Cucking yourself because YOU COULD BE INVENTING THE POST-IT!
When you notice your cat licking its own butt you are Cat-Butt-Cucking yourself because YOU COULD BE LICKING YOUR CAT’S BUTT!
Ok, that last example wasn’t such a good one.
But the point is simple: unless you want to be a cuck, you should either do EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME or maybe just staple your eyes and ears and mouth shut. That’s the ALPHA way.

But he’s… And she… Except they… Then that means… Does not compute! *boom, hisss*
MAJOR FUCKIN SPOILERS:
“Fap is natural, fap is good/
Not everybody does it
But everybody should.”
(lavish apologies to George Michael).
WWTH, I agree that the problem isn’t actually sexual frustration, but a generally crapsack worldview. They don’t like who and what they are, refuse to change or grow, and blame women (and some men) for their unhappiness.
Telling them to relax and enjoy masturbation as part of a wholesome, natural approach to sexual activity would be useless; it’s equivalent to reshingling the roof of a house when the foundation is rotting away. I think we’d all be better off if they unlearned the toxic mythology that they believe; the erotic constipation is a symptom, not the cause.
Okay so I know that this is waaay off topic but I am really angry about this. In Vancouver British Columbia we have these free mini newspapers called the metro and 24 hr news (basically can be read in 10 minutes on the train) that people distribute outside every train station. In one of them I read that
Huh so what does POS Wyatt mean when he says “that they’re hanging out partying and DOING THINGS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BE DOING.” like maybe drugging women and raping them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was that a fucking guilty slip o his part.
I am soo fucking mad. There are so many hysterical men (MRA’s mgtows and others) out there going on and on and on about false accusations and this is just perpetuating this bull shit. I’m sorry I can’t I just can’t. I am so mad that I want to cry.
@wwth
I think frustration does play some role (not in the misogyny itself, but in whatever makes them seek out people they hate – and as David points out it’s a great tool in selling them that whole toxic rhetoric), but yeah I agree that’s not the whole thing. It’s just the one that’s easily fixable (because it benefits them in a way they understand, and that’s a condition for them to care about anything).
Or it would be, if they actually could listen. They aren’t exactly known for their ability to shed their own prejudice, even when it’s directed against themselves.
@kupo
I’m not sure whether or not that was meant to include me, but if so and just in case I’ma take exception first off because “dude”, and also because I do not under any circumstance “feel sorry” for them. That was a random musing about how to take away one part of their rhetoric that I think may (or may not, granted it’s not like their ideology was meant to be consistent) support a good chunk of the rest – that it also benefits them is just beside the point and to be really honest I think they deserve any toxicity they inflict on themselves anyway.
As for empathy, it’s fine to have some, but one should bear in mind that it’s wasted on them.
kupo – I heard about that on Rachel Maddow last night, complete with the history of ADAPT. Those folks are American heroes and have been since 1978.

Husbeast and I went to see the Blue Collar Comedy Tour movie (in the theater for some reason) back in 03. At the end, the “You might be a redneck” guy said: “If you have a set of matching salad bowls that say ‘Cool Whip’ on them, you might be a redneck!'” I found this uproariously funny because I knew that, at that very moment, my dear old dad* had at least several dozen Cool Whip containers sitting on his kitchen counter!
*who wasn’t actually a redneck and used his Cool Whip containers for soup bowls
@Gr8Dane
Yeah, we got those in Toronto as well. Oh man… I will never forgive the TTC for not stacking the Metro in stations anymore. As part of my commute (of about 45 minutes), I try to do all the crosswords and Sudoku puzzles before I get to work, but since I take a bus to get to the train station, I don’t get a chance to pick up a Metro because they aren’t inside the station itself (usually there’s somebody to hand them out just outside).
One thing to note about the Metro and 24HRS (at least the Toronto publications), is that the Metro farms most of its stories from the Torstar News Service, while 24HRS is a Postmedia brand. Torstar Publishing is the publishing arm of the Toronto Star, currently the highest circulating daily in Canada and is typically progressive in its editorial slant. Postmedia is run by the odious Paul Godfrey and has ties to the Brian Mulroney-operated Quebecor, so as a result, the 24HRS contains drivel from the likes of Anthony Furey and Sue-Ann Levy.
Just last month, 24HRS ran a front-page story on Jordan F-ing Peterson! Yes, that Jordan B. Peterson, the asshole “free speech” defender who recently appeared on outspoken white nationalist Tara McCarthy’s web program. Front page spread with a two page “interview” inside about how tough it is being a dick to trans people.
And this freakin’ paper is distributed free inside TTC stations. I worry about the media landscape in my country… I really do… especially if Postmedia keeps buying up properties.
@QuantumInc
The issue with these guys is not sexual frustration, it’s validation from other men. Certain rapists are called “power-reassurance” rapists because they rape not because they want to dominate women in itself so much but because they want to validate their masculinity.
It’s really insidious that Red Pillers are promoting that way of thinking.
@weirwood – I made reference to ‘snark’ but I wasn’t intending to ‘scold’ anyone. I appreciate a lot of people here are targets of the Manosphere. But if we limit what we say to ‘aren’t these guys awful’, we’re missing a potentially important part of the conversation.
@Gussie
Interesting backstory on those papers. Good to know. While on the train I would read the same story covered by both of them but the angle was completely different in 24 hrs vs the Metro. I always wondered about that.
I lived in TO for a little while.There were a lot of things that I loved about it. The one thing I did not like was the subway. I feel for you guys in Toronto, esp riding the subway in the summer when it’s so humid. When I moved back to Vancouver it made me appreciate the train. For people reading my comment, Vancouver is home to the skytrain. It’s pretty awesome. SkyTrain has the world’s longest cable-supported transit-only bridge, known as SkyBridge, to cross the Fraser River. It is the longest rapid transit system in Canada, and the longest fully automated driverless system in the world. The fresh air and the views are pretty stellar.
I have to admit though I am terrified of heights so crossing the skybridge 2x every day is a little daunting. It’s like exposure therapy every day for me. I just hope I’m not on the skybridge when the earthquake hits.
That’s sure how it came off. Especially since it wasn’t even snark. I read it more as “here we go again, some guy wants to discuss the poor hurt feelings of misogynists.” I can’t speak for Kupo, but I’m guessing it was genuine frustration that so many men are so eager to empathize with members of a movement that literally wants women enslaved.
The pain of those poor, poor misogynists is already discussed at length. Nobody’s feelings are discussed more and empathized with more than white men’s in our culture. Not that all manospherians are white men but lets face it, most of them are. It’s rare that a space doesn’t center the pain of misogynistic men at the expense of the women they target. What exactly are we missing by not discussing it here?
And this? Super condescending. We have way more in depth conversations about misogyny and other types of bigotry around here than just calling misogynists awful. We discuss history, culture, our own experiences, all sorts of things. We don’t need some guy to leap in with a brave proclamation about how he feels empathy for misogynists to have a meaningful discussion.
@Axecalibur
Lol
I would totally expect that this has been discussed already, but I was too tired from sinus issues to dig for it, ha!
I was gonna jump in on this topic, beginning with an apology because I’d be talking for and possibly talking over my friends who have suffered real damage from misogyny (I haven’t)… but I think I’ll not… and just say
THIS!!!
It’s possible to feel empathy for someone, and still despise their ideas so much that actually showing empathy would be giving them more power than they deserve.
I do feel a bit sorry for those men who can’t understand that misogyny is not good for anyone, but that’s no reason to be all “Kumbaya over here at this campfire which David runs to make fun of misogyny, let’s be nice to the misogynists”.
@Jimbtho The conversations here aren’t limited to “aren’t these guys awful”. Any more strawmen?
“And here we go again with dudes feeling sorry for manospherians. Smh.”
Oh fuck. That is backwards ????
@ Valentine
Better than “Oh, back, that is fuckwards….”
@ eddie )))) I think i will say this one now instead. It is fully fuckwards now
When you are having sex with a woman you’re basically setting yourself up to be cucked since very soon you will be not having sex with the woman hence you’ve been cucked by present you who will by then be past you and the woman will have a cigarette in her mouth and the cigarette is not your penis congratulations future you will have been cucked by marlboro.
Off topic, but I just Googled “how to tell the difference between a moth and a butterfly” and once I got to the word “difference” the first result to pop up was “how to tell the difference between Asians.”
Wtf? Anyone else grossed out by this? Like Asian people watching is a hobby akin to bird watching or spotting butterflies. “Ooh, I saw a Cambodian one today! They can be rare!”
@Gr8Dane
The new trains they’ve rolled out are much more comfortable. But thanks to a certain late hard-drinking crack mayor how shall remain nameless, the overall transit debate in this city is a mess pretty much beyond repair.
I’ve always been of the opinion that in many ways Toronto serves as an excellent cautionary tale for Democrats down south. After all, we had the prototype Donald Trump for four years. Here’s just one article about how that debate unfolded: http://torontoist.com/2012/03/subways-or-nothing-angry-scarborough-residents-insist/
This is the kind of nonsense a demagogic right-winger unleashes. Transit planning as an moral issue. “We deserve a subway.” Not “the city planners have come to the conclusion that growth merits a subway” but it’s a matter of “deserving” (sound familiar?). You can’t debate these kind of emotional appeals with facts. http://torontoist.com/2017/05/arrogance-scarborough-transit-planning-leaves-thousands-behind/
Heed the lessons of Toronto, my friends. We’ve probably made your mistakes before you did.
@Hoveiny
Has it been discussed before? Doubt we were the first ones, but I sorta want us to be the first ones. Never thought of Get Out from a cuckoldry angle before ?

One builds a tolerance. I do wonder why Asians (east and southeast) in particular are subject to taxonomy. First Nations folks too, but that seems more as a courtesy these days. With Asians, it’s just racist ‘curiosity’
@GussieJives, Gr8Dane:
Yeah, I’m not happy about 24Hrs having got the default position inside the subway stations either, with them having presumably paid for ‘exclusive access’ specifically to shut Metro out.
I used to live in B.C. (Saanichton, specifically) and remember when they first installed the SkyTrain in Vancouver for Expo ’86. The Scarborough RT in Toronto is actually the prototype for what became the SkyTrain, and the TTC used to buy and refurbish a number of the old SkyTrain cars. The reason for this being that the later-built cars were longer to carry more people… and the Scarborough RT has a curve that is too tight for the longer cars to follow. So when Vancouver upgraded its system to use the bigger cars, Toronto bought the old ones so they’d have spares that could actually work on its track.
Admittedly, I think the Montreal subway system is better than Toronto’s, but that’s at least in part because Montreal is a much more dense city than Toronto due to the restrictions of geography, and subways require a certain level of density to really be useful. Toronto’s got too much sprawl.
@WWTH
Yeah. I’ve seen gross meme pics with a number of Asian women models, and text identifying the women as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, etc. Chansplaining the difference between women from various Asian countries to the other channers.
