Reddit’s “Involuntary Celibates” think they have a solution for what ails our higher education system: Get rid of all the female students who’ve had more than one sexual partner.
In a post yesterday on the Incels subreddit, a Redditor calling himself failednormie lays out the logic behind this unique proposal for education reform.
Naturally, most of the denizens of the Incels subreddit seem rather enthusiastic about failednormie’s proposal.
Autistical, a big fan of pre-Revolutionary France, has his own thoughts on possible future employment possibilities for the expelled women.
Other Reddit incels would prefer that no women at all be allowed in universities with men.
Someone calling himself TheEngineer19 offers an even more radical solution that, while popular with his fellow Reddit incels, proved a bit much for the subreddit’s moderators, who have deleted it — though the original comment, with its 8 upvotes, is still visible in TheEngineer19’s comment history.
Gosh, why on earth would these guys have such trouble finding women to sleep with them?
Ah incels ,the things you say would be funny if they were not so horrifying .
“If I can’t take her virginity, no one can!”
~ Every Incel argument ever
Corollary: “If I can take her virginity, no one can have sex with her but me.”
Wow, I’m stunned, I can’t believe what I just read…reddit has moderators??
“Well traditioned women”
Of course I know what he means, but it just sounds so….culinary.
How would this rule even be enforced?
What is a well traditioned woman? Is it some sort of surface treatment that is applied to the woman, like an “antiqued” wood chair?
Everybody was fucking everyone else in pre-Revolutionary France. They were kind of famous for it.
Viscaria,
No. Nobody had pre or extra marital sex until the 1960s. That’s just science. Are you going to argue with science?
Obviously we can rely on the oh-so rational judgement of the Incels. Clearly, they are pinnacles of sound, logical thinking! [/sarcasm]
Seriously though, I wouldn’t put it past them to say that. Not only would they want to keep women out of higher education through bullshit purity politics, but they’d obviously want the power to decide who crosses the line.
I also wouldn’t put it past ’em to “convince” female-presenting students to sleep with them in exchange for safety, regardless of their “purity”.
Or, at the very least, I wouldn’t put it past them to whine that women still won’t sleep with them if this asinine policy ever does get put into place (pro tip: it won’t).
127 comments underneath TheEngineer19’s expectedly horrifying proposal that we should all be dehumanized sex slaves / sexbots.
Taking bets now that 127 comments are in agreement.
Annnnnd brain bleach time.. *kitties are the best but..
st bernards are wonderful and I’ve wanted one
@WWTH, my bad. My lady brain simply can’t handle that much STEM knowledge.
@OP Because hard working male students never, ever went off campus to distract themselves with sex. /s Logic Fail, once again.
Now why would mediocre men want to prevent women from getting a university education? It’s a mystery!
St. Bernards are great, but when it comes to big dogs? Leonburgers. _>;;
EDIT: wow my post got ate like crazy.
This made me Laugh. So. Hard.
Oh, my.
I’m of the opinion – and I’m just spitballing here, so hear me out – that “distraction” isn’t the problem. The problem is competition.
It must suck to be not only rejected but out-performed by those you despise.
Wasn’t /r/incels set to private? I remember it being one of the many things that contributed to Afroaway00 having a sad penis.
Yes, pre revolution France where the king had an official mistress with her own apartment and budget within the palace. Absolutely the pinnacle of purity and chastity.
Incels, women don’t learn with their vaginas. The brain is in the head. We are similar in layout to men. #anatomyfail
#dreamjobs
Will “How many people have you fucked?”
be included in the social activities portion of the college app?
So many questions.
I love how self centered the argument is that women should be kicked out of University because they distract some men who are apparently unable to study in the presence of someone they find attractive. It’s not like this attitude is unique to incel either. It’s very common for high schools to have a strict dress code for girls because seeing glimpses of cleavage, shoulders or thighs prevents boys from being able to learn. And we all know that several Christian sects say women and girls have to dress modestly so that they aren’t stumbling blocks. As usual, incels take the misogyny present in the culture around and take it to an extrem.
I kind of doubt that there is a significant number of men who actually can’t study or work in the presence of attractive women. I’m not a man, so I don’t know for sure, but I suspect this is just an excuse to marginalize. It’s a handy excuse because the message that men and boys are completely led by their penis is very prevalent. You can’t have rape culture without that assumption I don’t think.
But if a man really can’t think of anything but sex in the presence of attractive women, that’s his problem. It’s not the problem of women. Why should an entire gender have to pay for one man’s intrusive thoughts?
@EJ
Afroaway00 said it had reopened right before he self-ban flounced. He posted a link to his comment history specifically because it was public again so we could see how not misogynistic but yes, really misogynistic he was on there.
When I applied for college, the answer to that would have been 0. But I did have some sex once I got to college. So I guess I would have been kicked out? Is it like the Ring? Someone knows you’ve had sex and immediately after the act is finished you get a phone call letting you know you’re toast?
What if you have sex off campus? You could wire the entire campus with cameras to catch the fornicators and still the system would be foiled if people just went elsewhere.
Basically the only way to enforce a rule like this would be to rely on gossip. Which would mean lots of false positives.
….”Hey guys! I never studied history and I only have two hamster neurons but I do read Nazi Chadcock’s blog so here’s why the French Revolution was bad.” ?
