In a MGTOW subreddit discussion of the proposition that “White Women are clearly the most priveleged [sic] group to exist in the history of the human race,” several Reddit MGTOWs suggest that this terrible problem may soon solve itself, with rape.

Naturally, all these comments have gotten upvotes, because, in case you’ve forgotten, Men Going Their Own Way is a straight-up hate movement.
Why does Reddit give these guys a forum for this shit?
Simple answer, the admins don’t care, and have a significant right-wing lean (see for example ‘bash the fash’ is unacceptable, while making ‘jokes’ about throwing leftists out of helicopters is perfectly fine). What Reddit really needs is a spotlight being shone on the horrible, dark corners like what happened with r/jailbait. Until this happens, no action will ever be taken.
Their definition of privilege is very interesting.
I’d rather take my chances with a random Muslim than *any* *one* of these jackholes, when it comes to chances of rape. And that’s as far as I can go without violating comments policy right now.
The admins are knuckledraggers and the subreddits we mock for being awful in every way are a cashcow.

When it happened I could hardly believe people kept the “Something Awful shouldn’t mess around with other sites” line when they’re defending actual pedophile rings.

Reddit thinks they’ll lose users if they stop giving a platform to these disgusting pustules (free speech and all that). In reality, they’re losing people because they allow this shit.

Women already are the most raped gender. Even setting aside how repugnant their fantasies of corrective rape are, it doesn’t even make sense to say we’re going to go from most privileged to most raped really soon.
Although I guess it does make sense if you go with the white nationalist definition of rape. White women belong to white men, so it’s not really rape if white men rape white women. Since most rape is intraracial, by their definition, white women are hardly ever raped.
Didn’t one of our recent trolls whine about how we conflate MGTOW with the alt-right? This kind of shit is why we do that.
And yeah, reddit is pretty much a site devoted to maintaining the status quo of white male supremacy and using freeze peach as a smokescreen. They’ve just banned a few particularly terrible subreddits from time to time for PR purposes.

I don’t want to read the wrong message in to this, but in your mind is a “freeze peacher” different from an ordinary free speech advocate? I’m very pro free speech, much more than most of the other Mammotheers as far as I can tell, but I’m still quite progressive in my politics and not at all violent.
For example, I don’t think hate speech should be a crime. If preacher joe wants to come down to the pride parade and tell me I’m going to hell, that’s his right, so long as he doesn’t threaten me or incite violence against me (in that specific moment, not generally just by being anti trans). I know that many here don’t take that position, which is why I don’t bring it up much. When in Rome and all that.
Freeze peacher generally implies over-the-top idiocy regarding websites responsibility for posting stuff by the freeze peacher, not the more usual public space hate speaker. At least it does for me.
Freeze peachers want freedom from consequences, not freedom of speech.
You know, the ones who, when banned in one place, start complaining on other forums very loudly, and then keep coming back to get banhammered again.
My favorite example of free speech is still the time a street preacher was telling college students how bad they were for being gay(or something?), using a megaphone. Apparently for multiple days… So, a student brought out a bagpipe, and started playing nice melodies. Easily louder than the preacher’s megaphone. There’s a youtube video of it, complete with the “poor street preacher” asking “Why are you doing this?” multiple times. Free public speech works both ways!
