It’s time for another roundup of Comments I Don’t Let Through Moderation! There are some doozies this time. Well, there always are, but these doozies are even doozier than usual.
I’ll start with some of the milder contributions before working up to the “holy shit an actual human being thinks that” ones.

I’m not quite sure if the banned commenter who calls himself “Beta Male Uprising” is a troll or not. On the one hand, he posts things like the comment below, full of fairly standard MGTOW/Incel rhetoric on what he sees as the inevitable revolution of angry beta males against their lady and lady-friendly oppressors:
And then he starts going on about women “harvesting the male gaze” without permission to give themselves little tingles, which he thinks is basically the same as rape. This is an idea so simultaneously reprehensible and silly it’s hard to believe that even a self-professed Man Going His Own Way could possibly take it seriously.
And then there’s this one from a very angry incel — is there any other kind? — that you may want to skip unless you feel your blood pressure is dangerously low. Because this guy thinks that men who are raped should be thrilled to have gotten the attention.
I think this badger has the right idea:

My late mother raised four children, toiled in our large gardens, kept the walls of our home free of the coal dust that the furnace generated, and for more than 30 years worked as an RN, cleaning, tending to, and saving the lives of old people and newborns. That’s a lot of soil, a lot of grime, a lot of bedpans, and a lot of diapers.
Incels, along with the rest of the manosphere, never allow themselves to be troubled by something as trivial as reality.

@Kat — the thing is, when they use the word “woman”, they usually mean WILFs. They hardly even notice the dozens of “unfuckable” women they interact with every day. It doesn’t occur to them that the “fuckable” women are still basically normal women. I’ve had a number of young very attractive nurses care for me and I haven’t noticed that they are any different in how they do their jobs. When I was too sick to wipe my own butt, the more attractive ones did it just as conscientiously as the less attractive ones. (Obviously, I’m stereotyping nurses as women, but the vast majority are, and whether by nature or nurture, women tend to be better caregivers. [I think it is mostly because men aren’t taught and encouraged to be caregivers, and perhaps even more because caregiving is seriously undervalued and underpaid, but …])
Of the standard manosphere complaints, the one that I hate the most is the one about the war and the draft, because that one is personal with me. I spent 18 months in federal prison for refusing to go into the army during the Vietnam War, and it was definitely NOT women who started and promoted that war and tried to send me to fight it.
The one that I think is most ridiculous is the one about child-support; the big babies who don’t want to support their children don’t seem to know enough math to understand that women get most of the money because most of the time they are the custodial parent (in name or in fact). As a divorced dad who got custody of his children, I can assure you that I didn’t seek custody because I was laboring under the delusion that child-rearing is easier than paying child support. The manospherians don’t ever seem to realize what a sorry bunch of whiners they come across as.
I forgot the mention the eight nurses killed in the Vietnam War.

Yeah, I still have people I know who think my rape at the hands of a woman wasn’t “a big deal”. And these folks are the same who were up in arms and looking for the guy who roofied and raped me at a party.
It’s a weird double standard. Any other crime it wouldn’t make sense “oh you weren’t really upset by a woman shooting you in the face were you?”

Sadly I’m related to some of them. Honestly I cut most of them out of my life years ago though.
Story time. When I was 18 I was drugged and raped at a house party by the skeevy 40 year old guy who had bought the booze. I didn’t go to the cops because I thought I’d get in trouble for drinking under age.
A few months later a female friend who was at a party I was at didn’t take “no, I’m drunk and tired” for an answer, and decided the fact that I got hard = consent for oral sex after which she hopped on for a ride, I was still young and thought that guys just don’t turn down sex, had no clue how I was supposed to feel about it.
Couple these things with being deeply closeted due to a repressive religious upbringing and you had a recipe for me trying to drink myself to death from ages 18-26.
At 26 I came out as pansexual, first to myself and my wife, then to others. A year later I was forced into oral sex by 2 guys in a gay bar bathroom.
So that’s my sexual assault history. Like I said, Mr incel is more than welcome to it.
