One big difference between anti-feminist’s reaction to this and feminist’s reaction to Elliot Rodger’s murder spree? We weren’t actually joking about it. We didn’t find it funny. I wish these fucktwizzles would stop trying to project how terrible they are onto us.

elliot’s action was based on his ideology where as if we go by what their friend said, his action wasn’t motivated by feminism. Not that these guy listen to reason or understand empathy.

Of course they find a woman’s murder funny. Of course they think joking about it somehow makes their points look reasonable. They are so hateful, so backwards thinking and so bigoted that they have no idea what the decent response even looks like. They couldn’t even fake humane behavior if they tried.

Yes, there are male abusers who have learned to hide behind faux feminism. That isn’t a shock to women anywhere. The Hugo Switzers and Richard Carriers of the world aren’t a well kept secret. Even MRAs try that trick by claiming they’re the ones who “really” respect women. Abusers are adept at all sorts of subterfuge. That’s why we’re leery of sefl-declared male “allies”.

That’s because we see women being murdered as a tragedy. They see it at a victory, no matter who commits the murder.

The lesson to take from this should be that women should be listened to when we say that “nice guy” is a rapist or an abuser, because bad men don’t go around twirling mustaches and making a production of how much they like to tie women to railroad tracks. These anti-feminists should have learned from this and the Killstein reveal that when we tell them carrying guns or not staying out late, do not protect us because most abusers are men we have grown to trust and are groomed to accept as “safe”. We try to tell them we are most likely to be murdered by our male significant other than by anyone else. Spooky men in dark parking lots are dangerous, but not as dangerous as the men we let in our homes and hearts.
We try to tell them Schrodinger’s rapist is reasonable and necessary for our safety, but they aren’t about to see this as evidence they should trust women. Instead, they think it’s somehow the opposite, as if it isn’t just more confirmation of what feminists have been saying all along.

I remember watching some of their videos. They looked like some pretty cool people. Rest in peace Ivy. You didn’t deserve to die so young.

That honestly surprised. For a moment it warmed my heart that even people of opposing ideologies could both show respect. Then I read the other comments and lost hope in humanity.

While the responses of many anti-feminists is utterly vile, it is disturbing how many people are excusing this on account of PTSD. I thought the general consensus was that being an asshole wasn’t a mental condition, and killing your girlfriend doesn’t get much more assholish IMO.

If this man wasn’t a feminist, would anyone in the feminist community be calling this a tragedy and not a straight up example of male violence?

Perhaps Kolpakov was not content with merely sexually assaulting women, like many of his male feminist “allies,” so he decided to go ahead and level up by killing one.

RIP Ivy. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

This RDP was a person who committed a horrible act, and if this was due to PTSD then this crime had two victims. We mourn the loss of Ivy and we mourn that not enough was done to help RDP cope with his disorder.

But unlike Elliot Rodger, RDP does not appear to have murdered because of a “feminist agenda”, leave a manifesto that clearly shows his motives were based on said frame of mind, or have been egged on by “feminists” when he posted his intentions online. He is a person who committed a crime who happens to self-identify as a feminist. MRA’s and twitter frogs are trying to pin this on an entire group the same way any crime committed by someone of a different religion/skin color/political affiliation is.

Like how white Christian killers are branded “lone wolves” while brown Muslim killers are branded “islamic terrorists”, if RDP had not identified with an ideology the MRA’s hate, they’d be singing a different tune. Heck, it would be a safe bet to say they’d be defending him.
