For what it’s worth, it also means that someone really really fucking wanted me to be in this world. While that doesn’t say much about who I am as a person, it has somewhat shaped my outlook : I belong with the people who say I belong with them.

If you are seriously seeking a discussion then there is something that perhaps you could help me with. You seem to be fairly representative of the Incel/MGTOW mindset. Perhaps then you’d be kind enough to give me an ‘insiders’ view on a matter I’m interested in?

I’m currently doing a paper on whether Incel amounts to a terrorist threat. Part of my thesis is that, whilst misogyny has always existed, we’re now seeing misogyny as an ideology (with all that that entails).

So we’re seeing women targeted for violence as a class rather than for anything personal. Hence there’s a difference between a jealous man targeting a woman known to him (either as en ex or someone who rebuffed him) and perhaps any men she may have a relationship with, and Elliot Rodgers targeting random women and the men they may have preferred (in his world view).

Of course there are examples of serial killers targeting women as a class for reasons that amount to misogyny but somehow that seems different. I expect there’ll be a bit of a Venn diagram of this sort of thing, domestic violence, jealousy induced rage and ideological misogyny.

But anyway, if you do have any thoughts I’d be genuinely interest to hear them. Specifically I’m interested in your insider opinion on the following points:

1. Is there an ideological misogyny?

3. How do acts of ‘random’ misogynistic violence relate to the manosphere? (Directly promoted, inspired by, or merely claimed after the event?)

I’d also be interested in how you got involved with the Incel/MGTOW culture and any demographic information about yourself you’d be willing to share.

It used to be that only certain people had access to put things into historical archives, and there was also a much more limited space to put things, so ‘good’ things were valued above others. (We’ve actually lost a LOT of historical things because people at the time decided it was bad, unworthy, or they just wanted to destroy it.)

Now, with the power of the internet, anyone can archive anything. And because we have so much space via millions of servers on the internet to archive things, we can also store much ‘less important’ things. Even things that were previously not archived by the generations before us.

We’re leaving a greater understanding of our culture for future generations than any generation before us, and that’s actually really fucking cool.

Could I please hire you to come and talk to all of my students? Or can I at least quote you, with full attribution? Goddamn XD

I don’t think he’s Mark Minter. That’s giving him far too much credit. I think this fellow is fairly young (18 to 20ish), and he wants to be an engineer someday and he thinks that’s good enough for him to claim to be one on the Internet. He claimed to be 29-30 because that’s his idea of a mature, credible age, but he hasn’t reached it yet.

He had bad romantic luck in high school and he’s young enough to not yet be over that. At one point he was in a relationship, and he thought things were going very well, but she suddenly dumped him for another guy. My guess is a guy from a richer family, possibly someone whose dad is an investment banker, considering how much he bangs on that particular profession and about rich guys in general. He has since generalized his hatred for his ex to a hatred for all female-identified people, and to feminism.
