So I’m still all flu-ed up, but I thought I would share one amazing internet thingy that’s cheered me up a bit: It’s called edges2cats, and it transforms your drawings of cats into photorealistic-looking cats.
Well, that’s what it does if your drawings are actually in the shape of a real cat. If you doodle something that’s only vaguely catlike you get a vaguely catlike creature that is equal parts adorable and terrifying.
So naturally I’ve been making a lot of these sort-of cats.
If you check out the hashtag #edges2cats on Twitter you can find some even more horrific-yet-endearing results.

Hello previous hunters of mammoth previously known as manboobzers. I de-lurk and greet you. I come via the rational wiki which I discovered after I gogled the word “Woo”. What a rabbit hole I fell down! I never would have imagined that there were people who insist the world is flat despite literally everything proving them wrong. As a woman however I was not especially surprised by MRAs and their ilk. I am opposed to bigotry and misogyny and I’m inspired to find a group so excellent at arguing them.
(Interesting side note I spotted fresh graffiti in my small town saying “It’s a flat earth!” and can no longer be sure its a joke)

This time, the account of the feminist organization is shut down for a month (so, once again, IWD included) under the pretense they have published a translated version of the call to strike and demo against trump on the IWD. The article suggests that it is part of a will to smooth relations between china and america.

So, I had a nightmare we were at nuclear war last night. It was one of those dreams where you wake up, fall back asleep and go right back into it. It’s going to stay with me all day. I can already tell. It’s common for me to have dreams of impending doom, including a nuclear bomb but I usually wake up before it happens. This time I didn’t 🙁
I’m at least glad I don’t believe in psychic powers or I’d be even more distresses!

@Alan Robertshaw: Ammo, as well. There’s a chain sporting-goods store near where I live, and someone I know, happened to be shopping there recently. He couldn’t believe how people were scooping up the ammo. He talked to a clerk working there, who told him it’s routine…people buying huge amounts of ammo. The clerk thought it was ridiculous.

There’s an uptick in sales every time gun control is even hinted at; ironically even after mass shootings. I wonder though what Gorsuch will have to say about this if a case reaches the Supreme Court. He’s an ‘originalist’. That is to say he believes constitutional amendments should be interpreted as they would have been understood at the time they were made. So technically he should come down on the side of flintlock muskets.
