Let’s keep the momentum going!
CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
You can find the contact info for your representative here, and for your senators here.
See what they’ve said or done about the Muslim ban here.
See my posts here and here for information and advice on how to make your calls and emails effective. If making these sorts of calls is tough for you, here’s some advice on calling politicians if you have social anxiety.
If you already left a message for your MoC’s this weekend, it’s perfectly fine to call again.
Or you can call about something else. 5Calls.org has suggestions.
Emails help as well, but calls are more effective.
MARCH AGAINST THE MUSLIM BAN
Here’s a list of protests TODAY, posted by a reliable anti-Trump Twitter account.
Check Facebook before heading out to make sure there these are legit and to see if there have been any changes/cancellations.
Sorry I didn’t get this list up earlier!

My senators are awesome. 🙂 https://www.cantwell.senate.gov/news/press-releases/cantwell-murray-take-action-to-block-president-trumps-harmful-executive-order-on-immigration
@Policy….
Felt I found a sneaky back door when I called a district office of McCain, not DC.
Actual, live human being!
So if a person can’t get through, call a secondary office.
I just started a game on Facebook. I called it “flip the narrative and line them up”. It’s based on the fact that someone I am related to thinks that merely listing violent acts committed by Muslims is enough to ban their immigration. I am going make a list of Muslims that have been killed by Christians in the US. Any old list that strikes my fancy. A right wing flavored one perhaps.
In other news I’m outlining a frame for reading comments with an eye towards directness/indirectness in assigning a recipient, and explicitness/implicitness towards negative characteristics of people and posts/comments. It’s for finding what an aggressive commentator fears.
