Complete idiots respond to the #WomensMarch on Twitter

Trump’s worst nightmare?

You may be wondering what the dregs of humanity are saying on Twitter about the Women’s March.

The answer? Some pretty amazingly dumb things. Here’s a sampling:

That last one makes me embarrassed to be a David.

Let’s end this with a few tweets from the lovely Ann Coulter. She mad.

What really strikes me about so many of these Tweets is how defensive they are. These are people who know the world is against them and are desperately trying to convince themselves that this is not the case. Get used to it, guys.

The people who wrote these shitty tweets act like they’re somehow superior, that this woman’s march was stupid, “shouldn’t you cunts have something better to do” but they tweeted about it ALL FUCKING DAY. Apparently the men and women who marched did have something better to do; I mean, what they did today was far better than sit on their ass all day and bitch and moan about something they supposedly didn’t care about.

“Quote from a friend: “The irony is those broads [#WomensMarch] would claw each others eyes out for the chance to gargle trumps balls””

That has to be one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever read. Fucking hell, watching 2 Girls 1 Cup on repeat while eating chocolate ice cream wouldn’t be as disgusting as the thought of sex with Trump.

And stop with the “how can you watch porn/any movies with dirty words if you were offended by ‘grab them by the pussy'”. I love dirty words. It’s not about the words he said, it’s the fact that his pussy-grabbing was non-consensual. Consensual pussy-grabbing is fine.

I wonder if there’s a feminist sports fan forum out there somewhere?

I don’t know of a feminist sports forum per se, but Deadspin is part of Gawker Media. Someone over there might know.

White House press secretary attacks media for accurately reporting inauguration crowds

Whelp
For the record, the initial low-end estimates for the inauguration are in the 250k range. This is on the low end of normal (250-400k) since Reagan moved the ceremony to that side of the capital, with Clinton’s first (800k) and both of Obama’s (1.8M & 1M) being the exceptions.

Initial low-end estimates for the women’s march on DC are in the 500k range, for comparison. The mirrored protest in LA was estimated at 750k. The nation-wide attendance estimate is in the 2.5 million range. The protests were international as well, but I don’t have figures available.

Anyway, within about half an hour of Spicer yelling at the press, journalist twitter was pretty sure that the effectiveness of Trump’s lies about media coverage would mean that his groupies would believe his lies and not reality. Freep demonstrates this to be true.

The man whose job it is to come out and inform the press as to what’s going on in the executive branch instead came out and told blatant lies. We are basically not going to be able to trust anything that comes out of the executive branch.

@Oogly: Trumplestiltskin has also banned official government twitter accounts from tweeting because one of their employees retweeted a tweet about the shitty attendance of His Grand Impotence’s Inauguration.

They were allowed to re-open the accounts after they groveled enough.

I dunno about you, but the only thing I’ll be thankful to him for is if he resigns or pops off in a fit of apoplexy before he can do any more damage.

And leave us alone with Pence? Shit. We’re in trouble.

I don’t know about the person saying that, but I for one was involved in some protests, as were other people I know.

I’m stuck in the middle of Missouri without a drivers license. I hate, hate, hate Missouri and like 90 percent of the people here.

Cause it’s so red. so red I can feel the hostility oozing out of people. they’re disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves but they don’t have the awareness

Every literal minute I keep wishing for a chain of events that bring an impediment end to this waking nightmare. This is literally a Russian vassal state dictatorship brought to you by oligarch elites, racist assholes and people who are literal death cultists hellbent on bringing forth the Rapture. Jack Bauer was right all along.

You know, if they’re so against the Women’s March, maybe they should have a march of their own. Oh wait, for every effort they have to march, about 50 people show up and then are shouted down by groups of people protesting them that have twice their numbers. Often they don’t even bother to show up at all because they’re too cowardly to show their faces in public.

When Neo-Nazis and virulent misogynists manage to turn out millions of people for their cause across the world, then they can talk shit. For now, they can sit in their own puddle of urine and wail, just like Trumpy. They will never be able to enjoy what myself and millions of other people did on Saturday: a peaceful, joyful day spent surrounded by people that deeply care about the things they care about, filled with kindness and respect for others. I’d be sad that they’d never experience that in their lives, but they’re such shitty people that I can’t find it within myself. Let them stew behind their anonymous user names on Twitter and live sad, utterly isolated lives spent marinating in hate.

Better than the current situation. At the moment he’s clinging to the back of his bloviating host organism his impact is fully-felt, but harder to spot.

So far the only trolls I’ve directly experienced have been:

1) “Marching won’t do any good!”
2) “Trump is American. What’s that got to do with Canada?!”
3)”How dare you march when you’re not being personally oppressed!”

A facebook friend has been getting “Protests are dangerous!!” concern troll comments on her posts. Also saw one crowing about how the SJW’s reign is now at an end. We laughed and told him we were just getting started. 🙂

Pretty milquetoast.

These jerks are talking trash.

The Women’s March was fun. It was large. It was worldwide.

I don’t know what Trump knows.

But Kellyanne Conway will have to work a little harder to put that smile on her face.

And sooner or later, Trump will understand that most Americans don’t want him to be president of the USA.

EJ (Marxist Jazz Weasel)

@Scildfreja:

I certainly have to wonder what the rich old white men are thinking about today, though. Whether they have any sense in them, or if they’ve drunk the same poison. I sorta think the latter.

On the march yesterday we were going through some ridiculously wealthy parts of London. We passed a man sitting in an unbelievably expensive car, beeping the horn annoyedly for us to get out of the way so that he could get out of his directly-in-front-of-his-house parking space.

As I passed, he opened his door and stuck his head out to ask “how much longer is this going to be?” I just laughed, and explained to him that there were more people in the feeder streets behind us, and that he was probably better off walking.

The look on his face was something that could only be described as sore vex. The peasants had inconvenienced him personally, indeed they were laughing at him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

To answer your question, I think the rich old white men would have been thinking one of two things: “Can I use this movement for my own gain?” and “Can I get someone to make it go away?” Either way, they were probably thinking about it in an abstract sort of way and weren’t expecting it to personally inconvenience them.

(He was wearing a tuxedo sans bow tie, too, so he may have been on his way somewhere. I hope they waited for him.)

I’m pretty excited about the big turnout that it sounds like a lot of the marches and protests had! but! I hope this momentum can be carried forward into other actions… because I honestly don’t believe politicians give two shits about protests, no matter the size. they care about money, and to a lesser extent, votes.

Slightly off-topic but one of the things Orange Cheeto did yesterday was change the curtains in the oval office to gold. I’m not even surprised at this point.

Still wondering how these chucklefucks can go on yelling about how much they love democracy, but throw a tantrum when people are exercising their democratic right to protest.

”It’s only really democratic if I protest something I don’t like!”

And if Clinton had won, these same trolls would have been going on and on and on how she’s not their president and would probably protest.
Double standards much?

Did they miss the fucking memo about how hard Spray Tan in a Can lost the popular vote? Or that there have been nonstop protests since election night?

And really, they’ve been yelling ‘sit down and shut up!’ since Mary Wallstonecraft gave all the wealthy white women bad bad awful civilization destroying ideas. It didn’t work then, it didn’t work when it was witch burnings, it didn’t work when they tortured the suffragettes, or when they dehumanized and abused black, asian, native american and latinx women, it certainly won’t work now.

The marches meant a lot to me. I live in a fairly conservative community and even being able to show my kids photos of protests from around the world, when a LOT of our friends and neighbours are pro-Brexit and pro-Trump, mattered to me. Thanks to everyone who marched, you galvanised my faith in humanity (until the next onslaught).

EJ, was that on Brook St. where people were massed on their way into Grosvenor Sq. by any chance?
Because if not, quelle coincidence, we encountered something very similarly similar! 🙂 We were in the crowd inching towards the square when a bloke strode impatiently through us – touching me, as I happened to be right by his car door (I gave him a nice smile, which for some strange reason he did not return) – glaring at the crowd and muttering indignantly, and got into a parked car (he was quite tightly parked in, between a construction-site skip installed in front of one building in front of him, and another parked vehicle behind him). He immediately turned on his engine and started trying to manoeuvre out of the space, with the entire street really rather noticeably packed solid with people – including some within inches, both in front of and behind him.
There happened to be a police van directly opposite, and a lot of the crowd helpfully alerted the officers to his predicament; at least to make sure that if he moved at all, he did so safely. Three officers got out (one woman, two men) and made their way through the crush, said something to him, looked at the crowd – and went back to their van (I’m not sure, but one of the officers noted something down that might have been his numberplate).
Last I saw as we finally moved away, he was still sitting in his car – with the engine still running – and hadn’t moved an inch.

I wonder if that jerk’s wife knows he says he is superior and smarter. Who am I kidding: he probably isn’t really married.

As for none of the protesters working: my partner and I saw at least half a dozen people at the march in South Bend, IN yesterday whom we knew from our jobs, and we know many more women nationwide who marched and who also have jobs. And yes, one is even a STEM professor. Horror of horrors!
