Six creepily filtered pics of Donald Trump, because why not?

Sad!

I‘ve gotten into the habit, while watching the news, of playing around with image filtering software on the internets. And I take a special pleasure in running pictures of Illegitimate-President-Elect Donald Trump through the weirder filters I have found or come up with myself.

I use these to illustrate posts sometimes. But there are a lot more of them sitting around on my hard drive. So I thought I’d post some of the creepiest ones today, as a kind of coda to this exquisitely weird week.

Let me know if you want more. And/or make your own at Dreamscope.

Oh, and if you have trypophobia, you should probably skip the rest of the pics.

Please set up a new blog for this stuff. It’s not what we’re here for.

No filter can disguise the ugliness in this man’s soul.

Very true, @Policy of Madness

And what better person to radiate that ugliness than Mark Hamil as the Joker doing a dramatic reading of a Trump tweet? In this thrilling follow-up to his New Year’s tweet, Trump takes on Meryl Streep:

Always love it when someone tells someone else what to do with their personal blog.

We’re here for the ride.

Rach, I see you are being forced to click on articles you don’t like.

Do you need help? Saving?

Blink your eyes rapidly if “yes”.

The visual texture of the headline image sets off a pretty bad fear in me: that one day Donald Trump might be featured on US currency. Hopefully, should that day ever come, it’ll be a negative twelve dollar bill.

weirwoodtreehugger: chief manatee

My ex’s dad had a fake $3 bill with a picture of Bill Clinton on it. Because he’s a phony or something? I don’t even know.

Even back in the days when I thought Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck were credible, I wouldn’t get the joke.

That second one reminds me of Melvin Belli as the “Friendly Angel” on the episode of Star Trek TOS, the one with the creepy children who were being mind controlled by an “angel” and tried to take over the ship.
Crap–life is imitating art again, and not in a good way.

“Frustrated,” “worried,” “flabbergasted”: Thanks, Trump&Comey!

Former Agent Who Wrote Trump-Russia Memos Frustrated by Lack of FBI Action

The former British intelligence agent who compiled the salacious dossier detailing close links between Donald Trump and the Kremlin became very frustrated by the FBI’s failure to act on the information he had given the bureau. The former agent, who has been identified as Christopher Steele, “came to believe there was a cover-up, that a cabal within the Bureau blocked a thorough inquiry into Mr Trump, focusing instead on the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails,” reports the Independent, citing unnamed “security sources.” Steele, a former MI6 agent, was so worried about what he found out when he was doing opposition research that he decided British and American intelligence officials should have the information.

Steele, and a colleague in Washington, former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson, were so flabbergasted by the FBI’s failure to do anything that they both continued looking into the allegations without getting paid.

Oh Rach, these aren’t my favourite posts either, but this is a blog and no one makes you read it.

But also, maybe just say it a different way “Thanks David for all the work you do, I’m certainly inspired by your mocking of MRA stuff – I hope we get to see more of that soon.”

I think the activism posts are important and appropriate. I think the David playing with filters posts don’t do much for me, but it’s David’s blog and it doesn’t hurt anyone and why shouldn’t he post it? – that’s part of what makes a blog a blog, the quirky approach to curation.

You’re certainly free to go set up your own blog.

Try this again:

Billy Bragg’s FB page alerted me to this gem:

Scottish paper describes Trump inauguration as return of “The Twilight Zone”

‘Scottish paper’ actually means a TV guide listing of the inauguration BTW. 🙂

Is The Donald serious with this shit??

For many years our country has been divided, angry and untrusting. Many say it will never change, the hatred is too deep. IT WILL CHANGE!!!!

I’m on my phone or I would link it, but that’s a tweet from His Illegitimacy.

That’s… okay, that’s kinda chilling, actually. I’m pretty sure I know exactly what he means by “divided” and I can see a few of the answers he’d have to that.

PoM – I’m prepared to give that kitty whatever she wants if she’ll *let* me pet her! (I have tuna…)

From the article that Kat linked:

You can trust me that many intelligence agencies are trying to evaluate the extent to which Trump might have ties, or a weakness of some type, to Russia.”

That sentence is both comforting and terrifying at the same time.

Unfortunately she has feline urinary tract disease, and can only eat her prescription food. She’s kind of a hand slut though, and is super pushy about it sometimes, so no trades are necessary. She’s also incredibly soft and plush like a microfiber stuffed toy, so pet away! Please, god, someone pet her for me and get her to stop bugging me. 😀
