I wonder how Trump reconciles the fact that Bezos owns The Washington Post while taking credit for the Amazon expansion.
He doesn’t. Facts have no place in Trump’s thought processes.

Billionaire Asshole “Venture Capitalist” Trump Advisor says that the big thing wrong with the Obama administration was that there wasn’t enough corruption. Which made things boring.
That’s seriously the quote.
Actually, it’s about ethics in wetland development.

Amazon is always hiring. Always. If they don’t have any positions to fill they’ll interview you anyway and find a job for you. How the hell does he think he has anything to do with Amazon jobs?

These are things I’d *prefer* to be bored about. Really.
The yellow-crested, rusty-faced howler monkey isn’t even in office yet and I’m tired of the corruption already!

This move (from Amazon) has nothing to do with Drumpflethinskin.
The jobs will more than likely be in support of the growing logistics endeavor that seeks to place complete control from start to finish in the hands of Amazon. Expect even more growth as Amazon takes over more of their own delivery, having total control of the pricepoint for deliveries, and thus able to offer lower prices to customers. This has been going on and planned since before the primaries.

@ Weird Eddie: I’ve been working on a parody of “The Pina Colada Song”–so thanks for the idea. Song parodies are kinda my thing.
*toys with Billy Joel’s lyrics*
So far, I’ve got:
this is what we call the liar:
Mango Mussolini, ’cause it’s all too easy
this is what we call the liar:
just an Orange One,
windbag goin’ on and on and on and on…
I’m sure Troubelle could do a better number than that, though.
I mean, one of these on its own could be a weird coincidence, but all three in one day… Nope nope nuh-uh nooope.

There’s probably going to be a backlash against the Violence Against Women Act. The fathers’ rights movement was dealt a huge blow last year when the American Psychiatric Association rejected Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) for inclusion in the DSM. That will make it much more difficult to use PAS in expert witness testimony.
Enforcement is up and abusers are getting more of a sense that society doesn’t accept their behavior. The MRA “experts” I’ve read seem to support reducing sentences to probation or anger management courses. The evidence shows that a long jail sentence (between 9 months and 18 months) is the most effective sentence while anger management courses have a minimal impact (shorter jail sentences are less effective). Anger management works well for stuff like road rage and violent attacks on strangers, while telling abusers to manage their anger triggers often reinforces their belief that the abuse is excusable.

History Nerd,
There have always been backlash from MRA’s about the VAWA.
We had a very prolific troll named NWOSlave who would constantly write paragraph-long screeds about it (among other things) about 6 years back.
Of course, even though the text of that law is gender-neutral, the name contains the word “women” in it, which caused him no end of rage.

@SFHC, holy noodle. That’s … I don’t even have words for that.
That’s not really something I should be reading right before bed. But I’m sure it’s going to be all over the news tomorrow.
I’m so incredibly excited about this! Political prints are my inspiration, though I have neglected my own body of work since graduation. Still, I am so inspired and moved to see some big name artists throwing their clout behind the revolution!

In other-other news (guess who has Google alerts set up!), the “Tape” is now “Tapes, plural” and the “MI6 source” is now “Multiple MI6, CIA and FSB (KGB) sources.” I don’t know whether that’s less or more terrifying than the other news.

In regards to SFHC’s links, I don’t understand how it serves Russian government interests to scare the American public with displays like that. Aren’t they better served if the allegations of Trump being under Putin’s thumb are dismissed by as many people as possible? Puppets are not nearly as effective if you can see the strings. I’m probably missing something.
