Tila Tequila is a bisexual former reality TV star of Vietnamese descent whose stage name incorporates the name of an alcoholic beverage made in Mexico. She’s also a Hitler-loving Alt-Right Trump fan who likes to joke about the Holocaust.
And so it’s perhaps less weird than it might seem at first glance that Tila spent the weekend at the annual National Policy Institute conference in Washington DC, a gathering of Alt-Rightists and fellow travelers, where she treated the attendees (and her Twitter followers) to Nazi salutes, anti-Semitic jokes, and an assortment of baffling pronouncements — ranging from an assertion that she’s an “alpha male” to a claim that she “willed Trump into [the] Presidency.”
Let’s take a look at some of Tila’s more, er, colorful Tweets from the convention.

It was a busy weekend for Tila, clearly, but she managed to find time for some anti-Semitic antics that she, at least, seems to have considered utterly hilarious.

She also posed with an assortment of Alt-Right personalities and fellow travelers, including “journalist” and beard-haver Chuck C. Johnson.

She lashed out at her critics:

And somehow managed to claim credit for Brexit and Trump’s electoral college win:

Apparently she’s taking lessons in reality-manipulation from Mike Cernovich and master persuader Scott Adams:

Given how this year has gone so far, I fully expect Donald Trump to name her to a cabinet position. Is there a Secretary of Delusional States?
I don’t keep up with celebrity news, I don’t really care to look into celebrities’ lives deeper than what they’ve starred in, but that is some shit news right there.
She barely registers, honestly. I remember hearing her name but not why.
Anyway, re: the whole Cabinet discussion, and all the alarums and excursions thereunto: I’m waiting to see who’s left standing when the dust settles. Things are so unstable right now, it’s like they’re playing musical chairs and you get whatever post is in front of you when the music stops.
Didn’t the perpetrator of the Isla Vista massacre also think he could alter reality by the power of his mind? As I recall he tried to use it to win the lottery, with about as much success as you’d expect. Ms Tequila is falling back on the time-honoured principle of predicting/manipulating things that have already happened, which makes it a whole lot easier to claim victory.
More like a conscious effort to put the worst possible people at each spot.
I eveyday still wonder about the USA and then I wonder why I still wonder…
Ps. Btw in Germany we have a bunch of serious morons too..
Isn’t Chuck autistic? It’s weird how so many of these people would have been among the first to be targeted by the actual Nazis.
The first time I heard of her, it was when she claimed she was white and an “Aryan princess”. :/
I don’t feel comfortable making fun of her either. It sounds like she has serious problems and she will be hurt by the Trump regime eventually.
@wwth
I feel exactly the same way. Thank you for expressing that so well. I hope it will suffice to say (and not break the rules) that although I cannot diagnose her, I just feel sorry for her and I fear for her and her child. She just makes me sad, not angry. I think bringing her up is relevant though, it shows that these people (big surprise) don’t respect anyone or anything and are willing to exploit people for their own gain.
I guess being opposed to the International Communist Conspiracy makes for strange bedfellows.
Heh. Looks like Tila & Co. got chased out of the restaurant where they were holding their little shindig:
Schadenfreude is served, meine Damen und Herren.
You’re Welcome!

People who are mostly famous for having alliterative names always fuck up somehow.
I look at all these people on the Alt-right and I thank god I don’t have whatever psychological makeup that makes them want to join that shitpot of a movement.
Nothing sounds like a bigger losing proposition than joining with an inherently hierarchical, oppressive and iron rigid ideology like Nazism.
Do all of these idiots imagine that they’ll wind up at the top of the pyramid? Double so for the non-white non-cis members of the movement.
It’s like these people all think they’re god’s chosen when they’re just another red shirt or stormtrooper.
Tim Gueguen,
I know. She really needs to use her brain a lot more than she does.
@Dan
You don’t get to racism by being humble, that’s for sure.
These are a few days old, and someone has probably already posted them buuut…
The NSA Chief Says Russia Hacked the 2016 Election. Congress Must Investigate.
Russian hackers targeted Arizona election system
I don’t like this.
Oooh, double post. How fun yay.
I really hate it too. But at least it makes it easier to spot the asshole in the room.
That’s pretty much it. They think they’re the best people in the world, the gods among men who will reclaim their rightful place at the top of the food chain. But they’re mediocre people and never had a high position in the first place.
I saw her tweets yesterday, and in amongst the many comments were alt-righters gleefully celebrating “triggered liberals”. I never thought I’d see Nazi salutes becoming standard public fare, not in my lifetime. It’s fucking heartbreaking.
I don’t wish her any harm whatsoever, and I hope she comes out of this unhurt, but I find it difficult to feel sympathy for her, whatever struggles she’s had. Whether the nazi shit is serious, or for ‘lulz’, doesn’t ultimately matter to people on the receiving end.
ETA:
@Jack, I’ve posted about this a couple of times, too. Damn scary stuff indeed 🙁
In my opinion,
they don’t think that they’re going to be at the top. It’s not about them having personal power, it’s about being in a hierarchy that values their shitty opinions. They don’t care whether they personally get to decide who goes to the internment camps, so long as those uppity-so-and-so’s finally get what’s coming to them. They don’t care if people are suffering, that’s literally the point of the exercise – demonstration that my side is right by enforcing punishments on the other side.
People have several innate drives, one of the big ones is a Drive to Defend. This applies to defending values, along with defending people, places, things, etc. This drive to defend isn’t often expressed in modern society, and its expressions are usually subtle – victory by internet argument, or trolling, or grumbly under-the-breath comments directed at someones’ turned back. The neo-fascist movement is providing people with the opportunity to express this drive by the bucketful.
They don’t care if their life goes to hell and the economy collapses, so long as they can finally show those other guys who’s the boss. That’s really all there is to it, I think.
@Scildfreja Unnýðnes
Yeah, that makes sense. People crave to have their opinions and viewpoints valued, have their worldview considered right.
But, you know, in good news, the Moana soundtrack is out and it’s amazing and awesome. You need to search Moana (Original Motion at least on Spotify to find it, if you use that, however. The deluxe edition has demos and instrumental versions of songs.
I am hyped.
Hey guys, this isn’t on the Tila Tequila business but I really do need help with something. This is the kind of article that’s been driving me abosolutely crazy when it gets posted on FB or (wherever):
http://slatestarcodex.com/2016/11/16/you-are-still-crying-wolf/
I’ll admit I wasn’t even able to finish the article because of how angry it made me. After years of thinking I was good at discourse I now realize I am terrible at it. I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me analyze this in a way that if I had to talk to someone like this I could hold the conversation. I know I couldn’t now. The racists I at least understand, the apologists are still just totally baffling to me. I cannot understand this and I just started crying with impotent liberal rage. (I also think it’s worth noting, that a disclaimer was posted by the person who shared saying please be careful who you share this with, to avoid hate crimes by the “bad apples” out there).
Yes, I am asking for validation from my hugbox, but I really am tired of reading this shit and not knowing how to respond, so I hope some of you all who like doing that type of thing can help. Thanks.
I refuse to let those fuckheaded incompetents be the boss of me. Or my country. Or anyone else’s. So, little neo-Nazis-who-are-too-chickenshit-to-call-yourselves-that (and who are too chickenshit to stand yer collective ground in the backroom of a restaurant)…DEAL WITH IT.
Also, there’s more Schadenfreude in the pipe. Get a load of Axl Rose:
Never thought I’d see the day I said this, but GO AXL! Ha, ha.
DAVID: http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/news/a47983/mike-pence-cartoons-trump/
Oh my gosh that is the best thing ever. Mike Pence used to draw cartoons in law school, everybody. And they’re awful.
😀 😀
@calmdown, <3
I'll go look in a little bit!
EDIT: havent’ read it all, obv, but from a skim of it? Author is cherry-picking things that agree with their thesis and ignoring things which do not. There are *reams* of evidence on Trumps’ bigotry and racism; author says “you can believe he’s lying but here’s what his official platform is”. This ignores all of the actual things he’s said in favour of the polished statements his party/campaign has put together.
