Matt Forney urges fellow racists to apply for jobs with Trump in order to make leftists sad

Donald Trump’s appointments to his administration so far suggest that he’s building a “team of racists,” as Jonathan Chait of New York magazine has put it. Naturally, Trump’s many fans on the far right are thrilled.

“It’s like Christmas,” Andrew Anglin of neo-Nazi tip sheet The Daily Stormer declared in a post yesterday (archived here) after Trump announced that he was picking voter-suppression fan Jeff Sessions as attorney general and crackpot ex-army man Michael Flynn as national security advisor.

Honestly, I didn’t even expect this to all come together so beautifully. It’s like we’re going to get absolutely everything we wanted. …

Basically, we are looking at a Daily Stormer Dream Team in the Trump administration

Now tryhard white supremacist poop dog Matt Forney is encouraging less-famous terrible people to flood the Trump transition team with job applications in hopes of filling less-prominent slots in the Trump administration with “nationalists” — that is, white supremacists — like him.

In a post today on the execrable Return of Kings (archived here), Forney urged

all ready and able Return Of Kings readers to submit their applications and take up any job offers.

Filling the Trump White House with “committed nationalists” will help to ensure Trump keeps his racist promises, Forney argues. Even better, it will make leftists sad.

By joining the Trump administration, you’ll have a hand in helping trigger the left into conniption fits and spasms of impotence. Nothing horrifies them more than losing access to the levers of power, which they’ve controlled for decades. Watching leftists squirm and cry is one of the biggest fringe benefits of Trump’s victory, and we need to keep the triggering up for years to come.

What an inspiring agenda these “nationalists” have!

It’s going to be so great to see them not get a call back.

Trump won’t even take calls from the CIA or the Pentagon, why would these dudes fare any better, even if they meet the qualifications?

How does trump wake up in the morning, see this, and not reconsider all the life choices he made that led him to doing things that are celebrated by the KKK and these neo-nazis?

(I have also decided to stop using ‘alt-right’, which sounds sort of respectable. They are not.)

I thought that some of those open jobs require “thorough vetting”, which would quite likely reveal their white supremacist connections to FBI, which would mean that FBI would get a niiiiiiice and easy collection of “people we’re gonna go and question when something white-supremacy-ish happens”?

Because he doesn’t care about anything but increasing his own wealth, power, and spotlight.

I like the delusional nature of these types of statements, where they actually believe they have a chance of joining the administration.

What’s more, many of them actually are giddy at the idea that anything good is going to happen to them through this administration.

I will never understand how any human being goes so horribly wrong. Just how?

One might hope so. However… does the name “James Comey” ring any bells?

Nothing horrifies [leftists] more than losing access to the levers of power, which they’ve controlled for decades.

Decades? I guess that works if you define “leftist” as “anyone who isn’t an out-and-out white supremacist.”

Trump’s appointments are terrifying. I’m scared for you all. I hope these choices are a wake-up call to all the wishy washy liberals hoping that he will walk back his more extreme positions because he’s supposedly humbled by the office.

spasms of impotence

Of course, historically, it seems like what leads to “spasms of impotence” in the left is actually having a Democrat in power. We get complacent, and assume a Jimmy Carter/Al Gore/Barack Obama will do all the heavy lifting, and we won’t have to work as hard.

The left typically stirs out of its cocoon when things like this happen. That’s why some of the best environmental bills came out of the Nixon administration. Donations to liberal causes increase during Republican administrations, and leftists begin to work and to monitor the administration much more closely.

I’m not saying Trump is a good thing, mind you. I’m just saying Matt Forney might be a bit surprised at the response from the left. It isn’t likely to be curling up in fetal position and crying our eyes out.

Anecdotal, but so far everyone I know is stubbornly sticking to whatever position they took immediately following the election. The few people I know who have been calling on everyone else to give Trump a chance are still doing so. So are the ones who just want us liberals to understand the Trump voters’ side. The immigrants I know who voted for Trump still think all the racism is Obama’s fault and that Trump is only going to deport the illegal immigrants. But on the plus side, people I’ve never seen post about politics before are becoming active.

What are they going to put on their resumes? 8 years of trolling on social media and left leaning websites?

Actually I guess it’s just relevant to the job as Trump’s resume is to the presidency so why not?

Yeah, That’s pretty much what they think!

Unfortunately for them, the people being hired aren’t being hired because they’re fascist asshats. They’re being hired because they’re rich, powerful fascist asshats. Different skillset.

Unfortunately, not all high level jobs like this need vetting. National Security Advisor, a position that Michael Flynn is going to get, doesn’t – the president just appoints whomever. Which is lucky for Flynn, since he runs a company which is lobbying for Turkey. And that’s just one of many things in his bio which should raise red flags.

More on that here.

The guy Trump wants for the head of the CIA (and who was, if I understand this correctly, investigating some of Hillary’s emails and was the one and only guy in a team of Republicans who said that “she did it” despite the fact that they didn’t find evidence for anything) is likely to get approved by the Congress.

Steve Bannon… we’ll see.

Related news – Trump Team is trying to circumvent nepotism laws by having Trump’s son-in-law refuse to get paid for holding a public office, which wouldn’t be an issue for him since a) he’s Trump’s son-in-law, b) he’s a son of a rich guy, therefore the government salary is spare change for him anyway. We’ll see if this holds up or not. I don’t think it will, but it would set a very dangerous precedent if it did.

The FBI is supposed to be non-political and independent of the president to some degree. It’s unlikely (at least at this point) that Congress will repeal civil service laws and let the president make hiring decisions. You MUST meet the minimal qualifications for the job you’re applying for or else the federal government can’t hire you.

It’s likely you’ll still have trouble getting a security clearance if you’ve been involved with an extremist organization, whether it’s white supremacist or not.

Steve Bannon’s position isn’t a traditional one, Trump just made it up to get him in. There won’t be any vetting, it’s just a straight up “I want this guy as my right-hand guy.” Which is pretty fucking indicative.

Dear Mr. Forney:

It seems that one of your primary goals is to make leftists sad. Since I am a leftist, allow me to assist you by telling you what would hurt my feelings.

Have you considered leaving the far right movement? I wouldn’t like that. Renouncing your history of bigotry and extremism, then spending the rest of your life making amends? I’d absolutely hate that. Feeding the poor by starting a food bank or a soup kitchen? That would make me damn near suicidal.

Just trying to help.

Which is not what they are trying to do. They are only trying to go around them (still not going to work [erm, probably. I am reluctant to say anything 100% since Trump was not even supposed to get this far] but the fact alone that they are trying is horrifying).

Yeah. Just… how is this even happening. Why.

Sorry, we still have the right to protest and free speech for all even if Trump or Pence don’t agree with the things said.

His staff really does need to keep him off twitter, he can’t stop himself from going on there and saying dumb shit when left to his own devices.

He could create more staff positions he has direct control over, but they’re not going to get civil service positions.
