@Weird Eddie
I have no (polite) words to express my feelings towards people who would rather vote against their own interests solely to make life more difficult for people they don’t like.
@Kat
Doesn’t surprise me in the least.
@Jenora
I’m really thinking the CBC should do away with comments altogether, rational discourse doesn’t exist in the comments section (for the most part). Mostly the comments tend to be rabidly partisan (usually pro-con) and/or bigoted. If they run an article that has to do with trans* issues or involve gender it’s a guarantee the comments will mostly be transphobic/misogynistic bullshit.
A judge who understands the concept of doxxing — yay! (“Do you watch Twitter?”)
And like Weird Eddie, I’m gonna eschew an “/s” when I note that the name of the Clark Country Registrar of Voters is Joe Gloria. And the judge’s name is Gloria Sturman. Come on, left-wing conspirators: You’re trolling us, right?

Whimper whimper
Please God make this finish and please lets have a woman in the White House.
Its about bloody time FFS!
I just voted for a woman for President of the United States. I’m so ecstatic I can’t even stop smiling. #imwithher
Tremendous day, huge day. 🙂
OT, but had to tell somebody.
I have an old cat, somewhere between 14 and 17. She’s good-natured but very needy. The last year she has been losing weight, and her fur came out in clumps. We have been waiting in dread for when she will no longer be with us.
Last night we find a puddle in front of the fridge. Thought it was an evaporator tray leak out something, until we noticed it smelled like cat urine. We checked the litter box (which was okay) and cleaned up the mess. I went to bed early (going to work at 4am takes some getting used to), and when I got to work my housemate told me the cat had did it again. She put the cat in the bathroom with the litter box and locked her in. I spent most of today at work expecting to find her collapsed or dead when I got home.
Work day was finally done. Came home to the cat still in the bathroom and another puddle in the exact same place.
Did you know spoiled watermelon juice smells very close to cat urine?
The cat seems nnone the worse for wear as me and the housemate work on ways to apologize for blaming her.
George W and Laura Bush left their presidential ballots blank. You know you’re failing at Republican politics when even Dubya has too much dignity to vote for you.
@cheesynougats: A nice piece of chicken seems to work wonders with my elderly furball.
Ouch. That’ll leave a mark on Trump’s tender, overblown ego. *smirks*
Oh man, the entitlement.
Colleague: “I don’t even remember how I voted on that [carbon tax initiative which gives breaks to Boeing and disproportionately affects minorities], so it can’t really affect me.”
Me: “That one could actually have a really large impact on everyone.”
Colleague: “But if I don’t even care enough to remember which way I voted, how could it affect me?”
As if not caring protects a person from the consequences of their decisions. I should have worked from home today.
Delurking again (third time’s the charm? maybe I will get my kitten starting pack this time?) to wish y’all Clinton’s victory. I’m not from the US, but, as Anarchonist said, I hope that the Orange Menace’s demise sends a message. My country, just like theirs, is also being currently run by racist, sexist, bigoted right-wing idiots (are you Polish, Anarchonist?), and I’m sick and tired of seeing this trend crop up in way too many places in the world recently.
@kupo
Shorter: I’m never wrong.
Impressive logic!
Nope… He’ll just say Dubya has just officially become a “YUGE looooozer”.
@kupo: Internet hugs, if wanted.
@kupo
Hugs, hugs, and more hugs <3
Kupo; Your worth (and the value of your work!) is not diminished by the ignorance of those around you!
The man just can’t stop lying!
Donald Trump Is Tweeting Again. Uh-Oh.

Just got back from voting and I had a much better time of it than it sounds like these guys did:

Super interested in Kansas Supreme Court Judge retention votes… here in the Sunny-flower State, Governor Brownshirt has stripped the public treasury until the public schools could not stay in business. The State Supreme Court told him “no, Sammy, ya got to adequately fund the schools”…. Brownshirt’n’The Kochs (that’s not garage band, it’s our government) funded a monstrous (in size as well as in morality) initiative to not retain all the judges so he could appoint judges more sympathetic to his interests.
Hey my dudes (SoCal guy but you can correct me for your preferred pronouns). Just dropping and hoping that y’all can vote because I sure can’t, due to bureaucratic red tape BS, so not only will you be voting for yourselves but you’ll doing it for people like me.
And I will forever be grateful to you.
On the bright side and unrelated to the cluster that is the election, NaNoWriMo is actually helping me to get on with my novel! So there’s that. I think I might beat the procrastination this time. 🙂
Have a good one, folks.
I’m mildly suspicious of the /r/ people who claim to have “forgotten to register”… don’t know if I think it’s others trolling the chans or what, but it’s (to me) out of character for most of these types to admit they made a mistake… I’d expect them to “misrepresent” the truth and say the system screwed them, or something…. Just me….
Oh, kupo :c <3
I'm so sorry. Those assholes don't deserve you, and you deserve so much more than them.
Oops! I put the wrong link in above. Here’s the link to Trump lying about broken voting machines:

@kupo
Excuse me for being blunt but fuck em. You are a cool and you don’t deserve that shit from those shitheads.
@Everyone
Thanks for the hugs. I’m fine, I’ve got my earbuds. I just needed to vent to people who understand.
Bonus coworker rhetoric:
CW1: When will we know the results?
CW2: Probably around 10pm, don’t you think, kupo?
Me: It depends on how close it is before they call it. Of course, we’ll need to wait until December for the electoral college to meet for it to be official.
CW2: No one will wait that long.
Me: Well, that’s how it works though. We’ll know how the populace has voted tonight but it’s not official until December.
CW2: But no one will go against the popular vote. That would be chaos.
Me: Two electors in this state have already said they won’t vote for Clinton. That probably won’t matter, but it could.
CW2: Now you’re talking conspiracy theories!
(This is my second time today explaining how the Electoral College works to this same, US-born colleague, and neither time did he accept that it’s possible for an elector to vote against the populace.)
Welcome again, Yossherian!
You know, once you’ve de-lurked three times, I don’t know if you can really call yourself a lurker. I think you have to call yourself a commenter
