Ok, so this is not an OFFICIAL Trump slogan, at least not yet. But this pic, evidently real, has been making the rounds on social media today, and if nothing else it might provide some fledgling metal band with an awesome name.
Or just a nice bumpersticker:
(I made this with Little Green Footballs’ Trump bumpersticker generator.)
I do feel obliged to note that “vagenda” isn’t original to this particular sign-maker: There was a short-lived but fairly widely loved feminist site called The Vagenda that (alas) went on what now seems to be a permanent hiatus last summer. Though I suspect that the sign-maker was not actually a fan of the site.
Meanwhile, I found this on Urban Dictionary:
Now this would be sort of super cool if it were a real thing in the world, but it’s a Fringe reference:
@Kat
You give them too much credit. It’s just a reference to the beast of Revelations. It’s an unsubtle attempt to re-energize the antichrist style rhetoric from the Obama era while also comparing her appearance of a beast.
If she were body swapped with Ivanka Trump they’d call her the Whore of Babylon instead, as always there is no winning.
Always start by assuming a bible thumping root where the United States is concerned.
In satirical news:
Leslie Jones signs multi-picture deal to remake every single movie online trolls grew up loving
I’d watch every one. 🙂
I really have no desire to know more into the fears and insecurities of the people I don’t like, so even though this article didn’t change my mind, it’s about as surprising as a movie playing like the wikipedia summary.

Over the course of five years she does interviews with voters of the far right voters in Louisiana. And there’s stuff where the narratives of the conservatives are in conflict on how their tale ends.
Hello.
If mixed language is authorized, i would say that for Fedora people, they do not have good porte-manteaux.
Have a nice day.

Sorry, we have navigation restrictions at work and pictures from some sites do not show up (well, i guess it is a picture because there are no words in your comment. Is it the case ?)
@or
Yep. “I see what you did there”

Well, it was an easy one i wrote. The same level as to say they do not want a vagenda because they want a dicktator, but less dirty.
re: public library as a great place for kids to meet sexual deviants
I guess it kind of makes sense. I mean, if your kids have to meet sexual deviants someplace, it might be good if it happened in a somewhat controlled environment. At least here in Finland, librarians and other library staff are expected to keep an eye on the kids and see that no one hassles them, and kids are allowed/encouraged to report inappropriate behaviour.
Then again, I suppose that “sexual deviant” there doesn’t mean just potentially dangerous people but “anyone whose self expression [someone] do[es] not agree with”, in which case… a public library would still be a good place to meet them? Since all kinds of people go to public libraries. That’s kind of the point.
I know I’m missing the point by a long shot, but I like my version better.
Looking forward to Secretary Clinton’s speech today about Bannon’s alt right connections. The fact that a Presidential Candidate is openly associating with a White Supremacist should be terrifying to the majority of Americans regardless of political affiliation.
I suspect that in this context, “sexual deviant” is a slur for “gay.”
My guess is that this relates to the fact that (Shock! Horror!) public libraries cannot be pressured into not stocking books of gay interest, or even hiring gay librarians. This makes them unsafe places, in which children may be exposed to (or even catch) the gay.
Honestly, these people seem to approach life as if it’s a zombie movie.
@Fishy Goat,
Do trolls love Groundhog Day?
I bet they hate musicals, anyways. Leslie Jones needs to do a stint on the live stage as Philippa Connors in this:

My brain has just given up on all this and is instead insisting on reading this as a ‘magenda of vanocide’. Which, frankly, sounds a lot cooler.
Masse_Mysteria’s comment made me think of this:

I was going to do this once, but the logistics didn’t work out–now that I’m reminded of it, I should see if I can try again sometime.

That’s all.
RE origin of Hildabeast
I have no evidence that it’s linked, but when I was at university in the early 90’s this was a nickname for students at St Hilda’s College, one of Oxford’s then two women’s colleges (I was at the other one and I’m blissfully unaware of any charming nicknames people had for us).
No idea how St Hilda’s students felt about this, they may have revelled in the name for all I know.
A case of concurrent evolution? Who knows…
@guest
The Human Library looks very interesting. Thanks for the link.
Oh dear, you got a visit from Nigel Farage, do folks from the USA know who he is? The BBC has a story on reactions to him, but it’s a video and I am temporarily deprived of a wroking audio socket on my PC so can’t play it.
“Vagenda of Manocide” sounds like a great name for a blog.
@ weatherwax
St Hilda’s boat team are called the Hildabeasts; so they at least seem to like it.
Woe unto you, oh earth and sea, for Katie sends the Hildabeast wirh wroth for she knows the time is short. Let she who hath understanding reckon the number of the Hildabeast, for it is a woman’s number. Its number is 2 0 1 6.
Thanks for that, Mary Contrary. I was just thinking that it would make a great name for a female-fronted black metal band, and it looks like someone else had the same thought.
EDIT: pitshade wins the thread.
You have hit the wall. Perhaps you should have been more concerned with finding a husband than with punctuation..
Yeah, you don’t deserve that third dot!
Delurking…
Greetings from Barbados!
Been following this delightful blog for months now and just had to commend David and his WHTM family on the all good you do for everyone, at least for those who are really interested in equality.
As a man, I know that I have learned a lot here, and let me say that I had to swallow many a bitter pill when confronted (sometimes brusquely) with the many reflections of my own biases and privileged (though unacknowledged) behaviors.
I don’t think I am all the way there yet, but thank you all the same.
All the best, David!
P.S.
@Axecalibur : “Illupunani”: Brilliant!
Agree with EJ: that post was awesome, pitshade..
