The 7 Most Surreal Pro-Trump/Anti-Hillary Memes of the, Let’s Say, Week?

Poop-related content removed from meme. Well, mostly.

Hey, remember when Friday was meme-day here at We Hunted the Mammoth? We’ve missed a couple, mostly because of horrible things happening in the world, but we’re back!

Today, some of the weirdest pro-Trump and anti-Hillary memes I’ve run across lately. Most of these are from Reddit — in particular, from r/The_Donald and r/HillaryForPrison. Enjoy, I guess.

dtmeme2
Er, what?

dtmeme3
I don’t think this is an actual American proverb. Also, FYI, fear the army of lions more.

dtmeme4
Less frustrated than confused, really.

dthilmeme1
No idea what’s going on here.

dthilmeme2
Or here.

Now this last meme — which I’ve censored a little — isn’t really all that weird. It’s just kind of revealing, at least about the sort of people who sit around making anti-Hillary memes.

Yikes.

Of course the athletic activity with the most catastrophic injuries per participant is cheerleading.

This is because it’s not technically considered a sport and therefore is not subject to the same safety regulations that NCAA or high school sports are subject to. For all the problems that occur when sports and education are tied together, there are upsides to it too.

It would be better if Scented Fucking Hard Chairs could back up his vile accusation with a modicum of evidence, wouldn’t you agree?

Wasn’t vile the favorite word of MRAL when he was socking as Steele? Or was that a Pell thing?

Gert,

why are you still here? Isn’t it obvious to you by now that nobody wants you here and that nobody here likes you? What do you get out of this, if you really aren’t a troll as you claim?

Why not go somewhere you’re wanted and welcomed?

@Paradoxical Intention – Resident Cheeseburger Slut:

Lord Almighty, you suffer from a bad case of Pretentious Shitlord Syndrome, don’t’cha?

NICE!!!

/Yawn… you’re trying way too hard.

Did you just try to “NO U” me and ignore everything else?

You’re not even entertaining anymore.

@kupo : do you know the singer Renaud ? He is not the best french singer, but he sure have a way with french slang. The fact he did one of the best song about arbitrary and unjust song, who could be used word per word as an anthem for Black Live Matter, is also one of his best point

(note : he also have a lot of less-than-glorious moment, including making a song to the glory of women absolutely full of more or less unvoluntary mysogyny. Also a drunkard in the bad sense of the word)

@Gert : either your reading comprehension is severely lacking, or you have 0 problem being associated with neonazis and other fascists.

Yeah yeah! No worries, you like what you like, didn’t mean to suggest you were wrong or anything. I just never really got Thor, I guess 🙂

I see what you mean about Batman having been ruined and you’re probably right to a certain extent. I’m a big fan of the animated movies though and they are great. Kevin Conroy, to me, is the voice of Batman and they usually get him right there. (I’m pretty excited about The Killing Joke askjfbgddfjkg, I’m going to get to watch it any day now.)

Didn’t notice you mentioned liking Batman before I replied. Sorry if that came off as a jab directed at you.

Last thread:

But don’t expect the accused to behave like an obedient choirboy when some of the accusers make the vilest of comments, not to mention deeply irrational and conspiratorial accusations, as well as outright damned lies.

VILENESS and ACCUSATIONS! See what I mean about him being Mr Al? Oh, and he misgendered me, too, so there’s another one for the rap sheet.

EDIT: Ninja’d by WWTH while I was digging up that link.

It’s time to get the fuck out.

New Jersey! Sorry, I can’t remember where you are. We landed in 98 degree weather. 🙁 Come on, Earth. I know this is mostly our fault, but please cool down a little?

Batman is still good in adaptations at least. And I’m waiting for the Killing Joke too! I really hope it’s gonna be good!

I used to really, really, REALLY like Batman, but all the writers pandering to his fanboys, and the fanboys themselves just completely ruined him for me, I just look at him and see like… Everything wrong with comics now.

Looking at the Wiki entry on Mondoweiss, it does not appear to be a hate site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mondoweiss

I don’t think that’s the point though. I have no interest in policing whether Jewish people call themselves either Zionist or anti-Zionist. That isn’t the context of Gert’s post though. He used the term in the way that neo-Nazi types do and is now attempting to derail the discussion away from that.

Totally get that. Paradoxically, sometimes fans can really ruin something. That’s mostly the reason why I never wade into the murky depths of fandoms.

DC Nightwing, Marvel Cyclops. Dude’s got laser eyes! And a visor! Other people have laser eyes, but who else also uses a visor? A practical visor!?

And Nightwing is awesome, cos he’s Batman… But not shit 😛

@ViolinlessHoax

Yeah, thanks to my experiences with comics fandoms and anime fandoms (and that dreaded fandom spectre of Bronies) I tend to limit my interactions with them as much as possible.

LMAO! Point taken.
(Also, visors are pretty cool, you’re right.)

@ EJ

Hah!

I was thinking LessWrong and its associated places, actually. Gert would fit right in. They don’t mind a little bigotry (or a lot), and most people on there share his disposition and consider it their most highly valued character trait.

The south pole have the added advantage he could stumble on the forsaken city of “The Mountain of Darkness” and have friendly contact with a shoggoth or twenty.

Could you possibly be any less subtle? “All analogies are bad” but this one is so far out of the park it’s beyond moronic.

Criticising Zionists is like using the n-word?

Sweetie, your argument that “Zionist” can’t be anti-Semitic because some Jewish people call themselves Zionists is identical to the argument that the N word shouldn’t be considered a racial slur because some black refer to themselves or other black people as such.

It’s really not an analogy. You’re just using the exact same excuse racist people like to use to get around the use of their favorite slur no longer being socially acceptable.

I’m not even remotely pretending to be something I’m not.

Ah yes, the thing that people pretending to be something they’re not would definitely never say.

Seriously, do you think that we’re going to believe you just because you said so?

@dust bunny:
I agree, although I’m told that Less Wrong has become a pathetic wisp of its former glory, inhabited now only by sad reminders of what it used to be. I don’t know, I haven’t read it for years.

@Ohlmann:
Thinking about it, the Elder Things from Mountains of Madness are a fairly good analogue for Rational Men Arguing Rationally. They’re obsessed with science and almost as obsessed with the decline of their race; and as Lovecraft said:

whatever they had been, they were men!

I write a blog on whatever comicbook trade has taken my fancy that day. It does have a heavy bias towards DC over Marvel though mostly it’s me saying “I LUV THIS COMIC U GAIZ BUT DC CANCELLED IT!!!1”. My favourite version of Batman is Midnighter, an out gay man with an active sexlife who had his own comic for one beautiful year until it was cancelled along with most other comics featuring LGBTQ characters for the DC (ack!) Rebirth.

Really if I want diversity now I look to the likes of Image, IDW and other smaller publishers. DC is willing to take risks, but so quick to pull the trigger on titles. For example the announcement of their cancellation came about before the initial wave of DCYou trades were published, which made a “trade waiter” like myself v.annoyed we don’t seem to matter regarding the relative health of a title. Bah.

@EJ : I wonder how much the … anticated… ideas of H.P. Lovecraft had a role in his idea of Shoggoths. Thinking he created the elder thing as white people stand-in and the shoggoth as black people stand-in is tempting, but usually the racism of Lovecraft isn’t subtle.
