Pity poor Milo Yiannopoulos! It turns out that his Twitter ban isn’t the only painful public rejection that Breitbart’s bully “journalist” has been dealing with this convention week.
No, he’s also having more than a little bit of trouble with some of the Internet Nazis he’s been trying so hard to woo.
It turns out that a gay man of Jewish descent who can’t stop talking about how much he loves having sex with black dudes is not universally loved by homophobic racist anti-Semites. I did Nazi that coming! (Oh, wait, I did. Everyone did.)
On Tuesday, Milo hosted a “Gays for Trump” event in a Cleveland hotel not far from the Republican National Convention. It was an odd event in many ways, and not just because it was being hosted by a British man who bears little resemblance to the traditionally buttoned-down Log Cabin Republican, speaking at a podium flanked by huge pictures of shirtless twinks.
No, it was also odd because its guest list included a number of well-known white supremacists and their fellow travellers. Geert Wilders, a far-right Dutch politician whose racist rhetoric sometimes echoes that of Joseph Goebbels, gave a speech; white “nationalists” Richard Spencer and Peter Brimelow were also in attendance, as was professional Islamophobe Pamela Geller and right-wing smear journalist Chuck C. Johnson.
But not everyone on the alt right was happy about the event. Yesterday, the Internet Nazi tabloid the Daily Stormer launched an attack on what it called “the dick-loving kike and self-appointed leader of the Neo-Nazi movement.” (Milo was raised Catholic, but his mother was Jewish.)
Not exactly mincing his words, the Daily Stormer’s Andrew Anglin denounced “homosexualist Jew Milo Yianiannaopopolous” for
co-opting edginess, first infiltrating the #Gamergate movement as a means to anally-violate confused video-gaming teenagers in his homeland of Britain, before infiltrating the Neo-Nazi movement and using it as a vehicle to tour the United States and facilitate gay sex with bi-curious college students.
While Anglin appreciated Milo’s work in “the trolling campaign against the gorilla-like star of the new feminist Ghostbusters film,” he insisted that the “few funny things” Milo has done weren’t enough
to justify his attempt to normalize man-on-man anal sex with Blacks in the Nazi movement [or his] selling “Big Black Cock” t-shirts for women.
Anglin — who’s been openly critical of Milo for some time — couldn’t even bring himself to get worked up about Milo’s suspension from Twitter.
My hope is that Milo just goes away at this point.
I’m really sick of him.
It isn’t cute, it’s just weird.
Probably, on some cosmic level, it is hilarious that large numbers of people are like, “yeah, great, the Nazi movement has a homosexual Jew leader.” I am able to glimpse the cosmic hilarity of this at certain moments, but then I immediately return to the reality situation, which is that I hate this.
Well, hate is what you guys are best at.
Anything that makes Anglin miserable makes me happy.

Milo is awful. Surely his followers can see through his hypocracy and narcissism. He must really hate himself, or have I missed the point? Is he just a professional troll?
How about shutting down Breit Fart whilst your at it? Or does that rob you of ‘freedom of speech’?
The big joke about the Non PC brigade (for PC read Liberal politics) is they are always crowing on about free speech, when they don’t want anybody else to have it. Free speech to them is the right to hate on, cat call, threaten with violence, fat shame, race bait, and use profanity with impunity. You pull them up on that, you’re a SJW, which is worse that Hitler, because Hitler was a great guy 🙁
The only good thing I can say about Milo is that his racism finally went too far and has forced Twitter to actually deal with harassment and promise to establish a new policy to handle such incidents in the future.
Looking forward to Twitter’s announcement on what concrete steps they are going to take to ensure that POCs and women are not subjected to threats of violence and abuse on that forum. Free speech is not an excuse for allowing people to be harassed.
The unfortunate thing about joining in with the bigots to prove that you’re One Of The Good Ones, is that Neo-Nazis don’t think that there are any good ones.

So he is basically in the same place as Roosh V. His world tour of hobnobbing with the Stormfront crowd didn’t go so well either.

@Viscaria – I’ve heard it before (the epithet “homosexualist”) but I can’t for the life of me remember where or in what context. Maybe back in the ’90s during “The Gay Agenda” years?
“He doesn’t speak for me” seems to add a layer of nuance that these intrepid explorers of hate can’t navigate.
Milo is like a dorky kid who really wants to be part of the popular, d-bag frat in college but the members hate him so much they won’t let him join even if he makes it through the hell week hazing rituals. Nice hair though, he sorta looks like a Ken doll. Gay, Nazi Ken.
Oddly enough, I agree with everything Anglin says here, albeit for totally opposite reasons.
PS: Nobody tell Milo about Ernst Röhm…or Anglin about Adolf Hitler.

Like how Youtube doesn’t care for its own rules and users and would rather cater to their corporate overlords and cash cows, I have my doubts of Twitter doing anything more than the bare minimum to get the media off their backs.

Anyway, right wingers sure love to scoff at the concepts of intersectionality and kyriarchy but maybe if some of these people actually bothered to read up on and comprehend this stuff Milo and Roosh wouldn’t have bothered trying to cozy up to white supremacists and all those feMRAs who got kicked out of the clubhouse wouldn’t have tried to join the MRM. If you belong to any marginalized group, you’re never going to be considered one of the gang. Not truly.
ETA: I also think Dean Esmay represents an intersectionality fail in the MRM. It seems like most MRAs are fairly privileged socioeconomically but Esmay is not. Nobody bothered to help him get decent clothing, hair styling or dental work before they sent him to be one of the public faces of AVFM and he came off appearing unprofessional as a result.

Anglin is extra disturbing to me in that he can be funny and seems to have some insight – at least in the bits that David quotes. Most of the people featured in this blog come across as ignorant, immature and heedless of the consequences, which at least gives me some hope they’ll grow out of it or at least be completely incompetent. Anglin seems to have made much more of a conscious choice.
I’m afraid I find this blog much less funny these days. Not because of David of course- but because the people he’s mocking seem to be moving steadily in from the margins. Once these people were too disorganised to run their own blogs, now they are openly having expensive fundraisers for presidential candidates.
I also suspect Milo may be doing his own sex life no favours. I imagine many black men do not care to sleep with racists and Nazi wannabes.

Brer Dreher says Trump’s yet-to-be-given speech is rhetorical gold, but this is the real thing.
Internet nazis are still just internet nazis, though. It seems far more worrying to me that nazis and racists with real-life influence are willing to use alt-righters for their political gain. Even worse is how much Milo and his crowd are benefiting from their shameless piggybacking on the Trump train. Vox had a great write-up of how the event went.
And then there’s Geert Wilders. I’m finding it hard to describe how frustrated and embarrassed it makes me feel to see him representing my country and my people to the world at large. There’s a good possibility that his opinion is going to be treated by American conservatives as representative of Dutch people which, I can’t stress enough, it doesn’t.
Racist fear-mongering and mindless xenophobia aren’t values that best embody our culture; cultural tolerance does. It bothers me to no end that Wilders is given a pulpit for his hate.
The world would be a lot better if he and his little proto-fascist personality cult would fuck off to Antarctica. At least that way the only non-whites they’re likely to harass are the penguins.
