Trumplords celebrate the Donald’s big victory by yelling about “cucks” on Twitter

Trump celebrates his win
Trump celebrates his win

With Trump now the inevitable Republican nominee, in the wake of his big victory in Indiana, the Anime Nazis and sh*tlords and Milo Yiannopoulos fanboys who are some of Trump’s biggest supporters have taken to Twitter to … yell about cucks.

Which is pretty much what they do every night. Tonight, they just did it more. But let’s let them have their little moment. Because every time they call someone a cuck they cost Trump a vote in the general election.

“Heil Trump Heil Trump. Gas the cucks ,gas the cucks!”

I’m starting to wonder if we’re pronouncing it wrong. Maybe it’s pronounced [jewish slur beginnging with k]?

Nah I’m pretty sure it’s the proper way to go say things. Well you could add “anyone not me”. You can include poor immigrants, foreigners, minorities, millenials and all sorts of oppressed groups to fuel it. I hesitate to say Atheist cause frankly Trump is an opportunist and a narcissist, gods don’t matter in his equation.

Though if you want to add some meat shields, add some second generation immigrants who are also racist too!

@WWTH:

What the fuck does it matter what bigots, old or new think of Hilary Clinton or any other Democrat? You don’t need to win every demographic to win the presidency and the bigots were going to vote Republican no matter what.

I’m not sure what your point is.

It matters because a lot of the bigots – especially the more privileged, wealthier bigots – despise Trump and loathe those who support him. They may never switch sides to vote for Clinton but they may well just stay home and vote for nobody. We can encourage this by pointing out to them at every opportunity just what sort of monster Trump is, and just how ridiculous they’ll look voting for him.

I saw a documentary done by Scott Manley, the youtuber, about a war in Eve Online. (I don’t even play Eve but was enthralled by the premise of such a documentary.) It had a quote from a leader of one group which said that you don’t win an online war by fighting the enemy, you win by making fighting back no longer fun, so they stop bothering. In my opinion that’s what we need to do here: make it no longer fun for the bigots to back Trump.

We’ll never reach the true scum, but we can definitely reach all the others – the religious voters, the suburban republicans, the old money, and so on. Let’s remind them who they’ve crawled into bed with. Let’s send them red caps. Ask them what colour the wall along the border that Mexico’s going to pay for will be. Let’s ask them exactly when America stopped being great and how they think Trump will make it great again.

Let’s take away all the dignity that they still think they possess and make it simply not fun to be a Republican any more.

What the fuck do we care about bigots? Not at all. Let them cry themselves to sleep. But let them do that while losing the election.

@EJ
But first, you’re to have to counter the random left wing stuff he throws out that is generally considered popular, simply because that’s the first thing a “reasonable Trump supporter” is going to point out. Because, that’s going to be the winning ticket for alot of reluctant right wingers who simply vote right wing cause right wing, and are starting to notice that the old guard consistently screw them over.

Hell that was the other thing that propelled him to nominee along with the authoritarian appeal of biggest bully, simple language, quips and medias’/GOP’s inability to point out his failures as a businessman and his hypocrisy.

I care about the bigots because they are the ones alot more likely to influence the US thanks to our system that doesn’t actively foster democracy in the modern age. Get them out through the natural course of many people working hard to make things better for everyone will then make me not care, cause they won’t be crafting a system to cater to them at my expense and those I care about.

It matters because if people use apathy instead of enthusiasm to get people to want to vote

Oh?

http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/2016/05/03/Hillary-Clinton-Plays-Woman-s-Card-and-Rakes-Millions

Clinton’s campaign responded swiftly, posting a video to her campaign Twitter feed later that night featuring comments the Democratic front-runner had made earlier in the day: “If fighting for women’s health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in.”

The Clinton campaign continued to capitalize on Trump’s remarks, releasing a hot pink “woman card,” a “Deal me in” t-shirt, and a deck of cards printed with statistics about women (example: “Only 5% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women”) – all available for purchase on the campaign website. The campaign also sent out a flood of fundraising emails.

The effort paid off. From April 28 to April 30, Clinton’s campaign saw its most successful fundraising haul yet, taking in $2.4 million. More than 115,000 individual donors contributed, and two-fifths of them were first-time donors to the campaign.

A lot of people who would be very negatively effected by a Trump (or any GOP) presidency aren’t actually apathetic about this election.

If you decide no one will or should care and this election doesn’t matter, it will be become a self fulfilling prophecy. I still remember your bullshit comments from the super Tuesday thread and I’m pretty sure you want Trump to win so you can say “I told you so.”

Fuck that.

@wwth

And I remember your comments insinuating such bullshit when I wanted to point out why I don’t want people who consistently seem to switch their rhetoric at a drop of a hat to think that’s a good way to earn the trust of the new generation. What was the reply I get for Bill doing something that he shouldn’t have during a primary, “hubby not a word I can take seriousy”.

How is it that you can claim such things when this

http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/24/politics/charles-koch-hillary-clinton-2016/

Keep coming along. Yes Obama is the same, and yes when it comes down to it Clinton is miles ahead of Trump. You already know that I don’t want money in politics and have issues with a person who basically immediately flopped on the major TPP issue when it became unfavorable and did not support Glass Steagle and other regulation laws. How does that, translate into “I don’t like Hillary Imma laugh when Trump win hahaha?”
@Chiomara
Thank you, really, have a nice one.

UK person here. I’m faintly horrified by this, how likely is it that Trump will become POTUS? He’s a subject of much mockery over here, but I don’t know much about how US politics works so reassure me someone!

@varalys the dark
So long as the trend of “People want to vote = Democrats win” stays and the democrats don’t do the “vote for us cause we’re not GOP” approach, we will be perfectly fine with the knowledge that no matter what, Trump is NOT going to be POTUS. He is INCREDIBLY unpopular outside his fan base, which overall is way too extreme in all forms of discrimination and bigotry.

weirwoodtreehugger

How does that, translate into “I don’t like Hillary Imma laugh when Trump win hahaha?”

Because you seem pretty hell bent on fostering apathy and discontent.

Honestly, I think Bernie Sanders had a shot. A small chance, but a chance. I was pretty excited about that!

Then a bunch of my fellow Sanders supporters acted like smug, condescending assholes. You don’t win elections by doing everything you can to alienate people.

The electoral college system being a thing that we’re stuck with for now, we have two options. Hilary Clinton, who is not as far left as some of us want, but is at least reasonable and competent. Or Donald Trump. Those are the only two viable candidates and at this point, nothing will change it.

You want the left to be more of a force in the Democratic party? You don’t talk shit about the current Dems running in the big time elections. You focus on the local elections and get involved at that level. Build a progressive base from the bottom up. That’s a big part of how the evangelical fundies became powerful in the GOP. Being a wet blanket about the presidential race is not fucking helping. If you can’t bring yourself to help, at least try not to hurt things.

@wwth
When in the hell did I ever even say that the local stuff didn’t even matter? Do you think that all I care about is Bernie, and not the people who also support the same messages that resonate with me? I pointed out that it’s not going to be a one stomp match, and you started to lash out at me. And now, and before. after saying repeatedly I will support her because when it comes down to it she’s a much better candidate than Trump, I still get the same thing because my complaints are being a “wet blanket”. Sh, don’t make a sound about how the big banks aren’t scared of her making them take responsibility, basically we’re going to get the same whipping of major bust from people who know they aren’t going to face any form of punishment, and I don’t think that’s a sustainable economic plan.

@darkstatistic
It’s all in the numbers.

http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/data-mine/2016/03/31/gop-front-runner-trump-unpopular-even-among-white-men-the-partys-base

As long as enthusiasm is high, Trump’s campaign of populism will die. There will still be racist assholes going around.

@OoglyBoggles, cheers for that. I mean I’m very leftwing so our current UK political climate depresses the hell out of me, but even at their worst our rightwing aren’t anywhere close to Trump so it’s been a bit disorientating seeing him do so well. Anyway, I’m learning a lot about US politics from this thread, I shall continue to lurk.

There’s a line between actually supporting a group specifically because the issues, and doing it solely to appear morally superior and to spite the other, those people have clearly shown their true colors. Stay safe Dal, and remember, the numbers are not on his side in terms of popularity. The last thing we need is for them to go the way of terrorists in the name of Trump.

Oooh dear.

I’m shedding no tears for Cruz, whose manifesto seemed seriously, worryingly reactionary. But Trump: yikes! How on earth did it come to that?

On the memes: thanks for the elucidation about Pepe. I notice they’re giving him Trump hair these days. It looks no worse on him than it does on Trump.

OK, I now think I understand “cuck”. Can some good person explain to a struggling Brit what this “based” thing is? Based in what?

I was reading it as “base” for a while – and they certainly are that.

Imaginary Petal

@bluecat

It just means “good”, “on our side”.

It probably started with the rapper Lil B who calls himself Based God. He seems like a decent guy though. Here’s what he said about “based”:

Based means being yourself. Not being scared of what people think about you. Not being afraid to do what you wanna do. Being positive. When I was younger, based was a negative term that meant like dopehead, or basehead. People used to make fun of me. They was like, ‘You’re based.’ They’d use it as a negative. And what I did was turn that negative into a positive. I started embracing it like, ‘Yeah, I’m based.’ I made it mine. I embedded it in my head. Based is positive.

They didn’t create Pepe and don’t own him. He was a character from an obscure comic who became popular on 4chan /b/. Lots of people use Pepe who aren’t right-wing in the least.

@varalys the dark –

Having grown up in red states, with lots and lots of conservative friends and family, I think Trump’s chances are slim. I know (distantly) two whole Republicans who are actually excited about the idea of a Trump presidency. I know a bunch of Republicans who are either voting for Clinton, or else writing a name in rather than vote for either of them.

Unfortunately I do know a good number of people who are holding their nose to vote for Trump. But they feel like they know what they’d get from Clinton, and they’re not fans of her policies, so they’re voting Trump because at least he’s a gamble, and so mayyyybe he will turn out to be okay. They “know” Clinton will be bad; they hope Trump might not be.

But I want to give them all stickers with that Maya Angelou quote: “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.”

All in all, with the exception of a relative few diehard “never Clinton” Berniebros, the Democrats will not vote for Trump, and there are a bunch of really disillusioned moderate Republicans who won’t vote for Trump, and women and minorities overwhelmingly hate his guts, so I’m having a hard time seeing how he could come out on top of this. It’s really depressing that he’s gotten this far, and so I’m unwilling to act like he’s not a threat to Clinton at all–but I have to imagine that she has it all but in the bag at this point. I think it will be closer than it has any right to be, but I can’t see him winning.
