I’m getting messages saying that the straw feminism that is circulating around us isn’t too good.
And we’re back! In this Memeday Rewind, which is something I just came up with as a way to do a followup to my Memeday post on Friday, let’s return again to that awful Feminist Nazi meme — a meme intended to highlight alleged feminist hypocrisies, but which invariably ends up highlighting the meme-makers’ complete and utter ignorance of the subject.
This batch is possibly even more baffling than the first.
Let’s get started!

Apparently this guy has confused “feminism” with “stuff my girlfriend does that annoys me, or that I think a girlfriend might do if I had one.”
Yeah, I’m sure the “help” this meme-maker was providing was super-duper helpful and not patronizing crap she already thought of.
Will the oppression of men never end? No pun intended.
Why do so many of these guys’ complaints always come back to “why can’t I just rape women who don’t want to have sex with me?”
Have you ever noticed that this question is an example of the fallacy of relative privation?
Have you ever noticed that the reason feminists don’t want to talk about feminism with you is that you ask a lot of leading questions in bad faith?

That last one sums up an awful lot of these memes.
It’s almost like they don’t fucking understand that we don’t roll out of bed looking like a photoshopped pinup model.

When I’m in an intimate setting with a guy and he gets whiny that I don’t want to do anal, I usually ask him how big his dick is, and then tell him I’ll try anal if he’ll put a dildo the same size as his dick in his ass first so I can see how it’s done.

It usually works, though. If he is enough of a jerk to keep insisting or guilt tripping you, he is probably very selfish and has a lot of internalized homophobia too.

I have the impression that 99 percent of these guys are way too scared to ever, ever approach a woman. A guy like this knows how to sit in front of a computer, so he sticks with that. His mom lets him live in the basement and keeps the fridge stocked with his favorite foods.
The computer meets this guy’s social and sexual needs. Except it doesn’t. And he has no skills to try to make anything happen. So he does what he considers to be the next best thing–bashes women online. When women get mad at them online, it’s exciting. It’s attention. Yay! And maybe–just maybe–one the of the women will exhibit the compassion that women are so famous for. She’ll take pity on him for his loneliness and sexual frustration and come over to his house and . . .
That never happens, so it’s try, try again with more memes bashing women. Luckily, Mom put some sandwiches in the fridge for him, ’cause making memes is hard work!

Agreed. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m experiencing all three of those right now because of health problems and it feels really shitty when people make jokes about “basement dwellers,” as if all of us have a fucking choice.

Thirded. I’m single, living with my dad because although I am employed now, I was unemployed and/or sporadically employed for two years and am getting on my feet financially and am a bit socially awkward. I still manage not to be a bigoted pro-rape asshole who is terrible at making memes.

Kat – I appreciate that. IT takes …large ovaries?… to admit when we make mistakes and I always feel good when people do so. Before you posted I was going to add –
AFAIK the majority of people dont live alone but with family or roomies or tribe of some sort. It’s a really new thing for people to try to live totally solo. & frankly it’s kinda wierd if you think about that – imagine any other pack animals doing that and acting like it’s “the right way”. lol. Americans & Brits (& company) especially often lose sight of the fact that the majority of humans for the majority of history have lived pretty risky hand to mouth lives, or at least been pretty poor relatively anyway afaik.

I suspect a lot of these guys whine and whinge about getting a woman to do anal precisely because many women don’t want to do it with someone they don’t know well enough yet.
Not all women obviously, but enough women are adverse to the discomfort/ adjustment/ cleaning involved, especially if their prior experiences were with the jackhammer *splort* method these chucklefucks think constitutes sex involving any orifice. IOW these fine specimens whinge on about badgering a woman into anal because the idea of proving their dominance or making their sex partner uncomfortable at best is giving them a boner. Ugh.
I suspect if women said “Sure!” on a regular basis to requests like these that the allure would wear off very quickly and they’d move on to some other act they could pressure a reluctant woman into performing, and so on.

Have these guys (Meme makers) ever actually gone outside an seen how human interaction works? They need to go out and get hobbies. Preferably group hobbies with all genders, so they can interact with people without sex being the endgame!

Yep. Getting women to do things they don’t want to do (by threats or by persuasion) is definitely a thing. I can think of several examples off the top of my head from my own life, only some of which have to do with sex.
