My point was, that any study of merit, one that replied on direct question answering of the participants, anonymously, rather than unreliabe reporting, showed 40-60% of dv was female perpetrated.
Even though you are too cowardly to provide a source, I’m guessing you’re referring to research that uses the conflict tactics scale. That would be the one that rates pushing someone away in self defense and punching someone in the head so hard it knocks them unconscious the same. It’s very convenient if you want to “prove” women commit DV at the same rates. However, if you look at the rate of severe abuse, or homicide of partners, men are by far the bigger culprits.
That doesn’t mean male IPV victims shouldn’t be taken seriously. They should be. You won’t hear many feminists arguing that they shouldn’t get compassion or help. But you don’t need to diminish men’s violence against women to get that accomplished.

I have a double major. Most of my research is personal though. Yes, I am an intellectual. I’ve spent months and years studying things I am curious about, and I know how to critique and examine a study.
So there’s not ‘seem to think’ about, I understand, and frequently read science. I was 95% in a logic test, which was the highest ever result, so I am pretty focused on reason. Although I understand most human beleif and action comes from emotion and experiences – humans are largely irrational creatures.

No, I am talking about any DV research that works by questionaire of general populations rather than police reports. Anything that is statistically reliable here, shows numbers higher than feminists claims, numbers that are basically gender symmetrical.

I have personally been abused. I have freinds who have been abused (my mate was stabbed in the head).
No, the system definately fails us. The support systems don’t take it seriously, the police often end up arresting the victim, people laugh about it, there’s no male shelter in the country where i live. Compared to the support women get, there are fast differences in how male victims of DV are treated.
If you’d experienced something like this, you’d understand that there are sexisms in place, in our society. Without experiencing, you’ll just have to take mine, and thousands of other mens, word on it (and the stats that show these things, and those exist too, that victims are often arrested, that female perps are very rarely arrested, and very rarely convicted)

Well you love your sources, as if you are not going to pick them apart to either criticize them, dismiss them, post counter studies or generally maintain your point of view no matter the evidence, but whatever I have five minutes to google (all the stuff I have mentioned is from credible studies btw, I just don’t annotate and store all my ‘references’ because my life isn’t purposed to arguing with stubborn people! As if people have the time for that!)
Anyway, here’s what five minutes of very random googling came up with. I wonder what half an hour of your own time could produce? Imagine if you were that open minded to evidence and ideas! (Sigh).

I’m going to guess, based on what I skimmed – including what Katz just quoted in which Jamie literally loled at the idea of a man wanting to improve the lives of other men with life-threatening illness – that Jamie at no point provided any kind of opinion as to what is the most pressing issue facing men, and what kind of action plan he had to address that problem.
