I‘ve lost track of the number of times that some aspiring Man Going His Own Way has shown up in the comments here, indignantly objecting to some post I’ve made about the MGTOW lifestyle, such as it is. All we’re doing is trying to live our lives in peace, the MGTOWs declare. Why are you always picking on us?
Well, I think from now on I’ll just send them a link to this post. Today we’re celebrating Memeday one day early with three of the most ridiculously misogynistic memes I’ve yet seen in my five years of running this blog — all of which were posted to the MGTOW subreddit in the last week.
This, MGTOW dudes, is why we pick on you. Because instead of actually going your own way and living the free, independent lives you say you want to live, you stew in your own hatred and fritter away your life talking endlessly about the alleged evils of women online.
Seriously, dudes. When Thoreau went and lived by himself in a shack by a pond for a year, he emerged from the experience with a book people are still talking about today. Left to you own devices, you guys produce crap like this:
So not only is this woman “a baby aborting, lawsuit filing, backstabbing psychotic whore,” but she is also:
- a feminist
- a vampire
- a Satanist
- either the Beast of Revelations or just someone with glasses decorated with the number of the beast
Also, she really needs to see an ophthalmologist STAT, because there is definitely something a bit off about her eyes.
About the only good thing I can say here is that this meme got a mixed-but-mostly-negative reception in r/MGTOW, with responses ranging from “topkek” to “[t]his is why MGTOW has a bad name even amongst MRM,” though the critics were more annoyed by the anti-abortion stuff than by the raging misogyny. And in at least one case because the abortion talk meant that he could post a little manifesto on why men should be able to “financially abort” any of their children they didn’t feel like providing for
This next terrible meme has an otherworldly theme:
I hate to break it to you, fellas, but that alien there is a Small Grey. They’re not interested in chatting about science with you. They’re the ones who go around abducting people and using them in medical experiments. And mutilating cattle, but I think that’s more of a hobby of theirs.
This one also got a mixed reception in r/MGTOW, with reactions ranging from “sadly, women in Brazil are not that different from American women” to “this is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve seen. This post honestly looks like it was made by a mentally handicapped middle schooler.”
I don’t even know where to start with this one. I just hope whoever made this paid for the rights to all those stock-image angry ladies!
Also, dude, if the purpose of these Bitch Snacks is to provide women with the energy they need to make themselves miserable, why would they contain Prozac? The whole point of antidepressants like Prozac is make people less miserable, not more. That’s why they’re called antidepressants.
Seriously, dudes, antidepressants. They could do you a lot of good (and I say that as someone who’s been taking the things for more than twenty years). They’ll certainly do you more good than spending the rest of your life in the MGTOW subreddit laughing at hateful, shitty memes and trying to convince yourself you’re happy.
So how did this meme, possibly the most misogynistic of the three, fare in r/MGTOW?
The fellas loved it. “Bitch bones. Love it,” wrote one. “Words cannot express how awesome this is,” declared another.

So humans have more in common with imaginary aliens (that encompass ideal characteristics) than actual humans? And what’s the deal with the woman in that meme, she just looks frustrated that her laptop’s on the fritz.
I also marvel at the MGTOW obsession with abortion/birth, no one’s going to stop these guys getting vasectomies.
If I were an alien who traveled 6 million light years, and the first thing I encountered was an MGTOW, I’d move along. Anyone advanced enough to traverse countless galaxies and star systems in search of other intelligent life is not going to waste time on hate-filled humanoids who can’t even use MS Paint properly.

I don’t understand how they can honestly think that all women are shallow and vindictive and men are all rational and scientific.
Today I went to the funeral of a homeless man who I looked after for years as part of my job. I’ve held his hand in hospital, I’ve spoon fed him when he was too weak to eat. Once when I wasn’t at work I saw him under an underpass, I gave him a cigarette and sat and held his hand for a while and talked to him. There were so many people at his funeral, well over 200. Most were people who helped him by giving food, a tent, sleeping bags, clothes, medical care and other support. I’d say 75% were women. Considering that the care professions are largely staffed by women, how are we the self centred ones? Those jobs are hard, physically and emotionally. We care so much it hurts sometimes. I’ve spent this afternoon sobbing, devastated by the loss of this man I tried to help.
I’d genuinely like to know how they hold onto this worldview despite the fact that most care responsibility, paid and unpaid, is taken on by women.

It looks like a charity organization set up to help male victims of DV. It looks like they’re pretty legitimate. Can’t find any reference on it to the MRM, or anything to support the idea that it’s run by MRAs. “Erin Pizzey” is listed as an “Honorary Patron”, and while she does somewhat go to bat for some MRA issues, she’s not an MRA herself.
I just love it when MGTOWs who spend all their time talking about how horrible women are get all offended when you call them a misogynist.

I think the only “science” they actually care about is Evolutionary Psychology. I doubt they could talk much about Astronomy, Physics, Biology, etc… and they dismiss stuff like Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, and so on…
I’m going to post the entire “misogyny is false accusation” post, because it’s a hell of a thing.

I’m sure there are prob a million men who would want to know how to respond to someone telling them are a ‘misogynist’ simply because they disagree with a woman, don’t like Feminists, state facts and statistics, debunk the Wage Gap, discuss the epidemic of false accusations of rape, or critical of insane alimony and child support laws, critical of VAWA and it’s violation of basic human rights and on and on.
Last night it suddenly occurred to me: Being called a ‘misogynist’ is a false accusation. And a false accusation if made about someone publicly can result in their being fired from their job and a multitude of other negative consequences.
So you simply respond to this false accuser by telling them that you will SUE them for slander and if it is in writing, sue for libel.
Libel: a published false statement that is damaging to a person’s reputation; a written defamation.
And anyone, public figures or not who are called ‘misogynists’ by name by these females in the news agencies and in articles need to start suing them. Same for the false accusation of ‘racist.’ These are ridiculous and damaging charges that are never, never appropriate or accurate. Simply nothing more than a way to shut someone down because the accuser has nothing to actually say.
It’s damaging to one’s reputation and slanderous as well. That’s going to be the only to start shutting these creeps down.
They’re making a false accusation and of course every single time this is done is obviously to stop someone from speaking the truth about men’s rights, reduced sentencing for women and on and on. This entire sub redditt is called ‘misogynist’ on a regular basis for speaking the truth and providing statistics. If you’re critical of anything involving women AT ALL, you are labeled a ‘woman hater.’
I simply say, “Show me where I wrote or said I hate women.” Criticism isn’t the same thing as ‘hate.’ And all of this on the level of children in the playground. “You hate Suzy!
