men who should not ever be with women ever misogyny reactionary bullshit red pill rhymes with roosh

With Roosh V turning Taliban-lite, his old fans wonder: what happened to the guy who wrote Bang?

Roosh: What a grouch!
Roosh: What a grouch!

All is not happy in the world of Roosh Valizadeh. The formerly amoral hedonist, who built his online fiefdom on a bunch of books urging men to “bang” women in an assortment of countries, is turning into a moralistic, hectoring scold only a few steps removed from the Taliban.

And some of his old fans are wondering what the hell has happened to him.

Earlier this week, Roosh posted an especially dour and authoritarian post titled “How To Stop The Fall Of Women,” telling his readers that

It is completely your responsibility to create the environment of a good home, a good city, and a good country to prevent the fall of your women. It’s your responsibility to create the right environment where all women remain good instead of succumbing to an evil where within a short amount of time she becomes a useless, tattooed, overweight, and masculine slut. It should be clear to you by now that women absolutely can not save themselves, and have no inherent resistance to the pollution that tempts them in this world. It’s solely up to us men to shield their natural virtue so that they become the wives and mothers that allow you to fulfill your biological destiny while furthering the health of your society.

He continues on in this vein for several hundred more words.

It’s a big change from his older PUA writings, but one thing is consistent: Roosh doesn’t think women have the right to control their own lives.

Still, some of his old fans are having none of it. A reader pointed me to this interesting exchange in the comments to Roosh’s post:

Jacked • 2 days ago What the fuck has happened to you? Is this same guy that wrote Bang? You're entire life has been about fucking girls. No problem.. But this? What happened? You're drowning in hate and you see it everywhere. Now you want to "control" other people?? Did you flip at somepoint? 2 • Reply•Share › Avatar Lester Maul Jacked • 2 days ago Me too notices a change in Roosh. Why doesnt he tell us that we be the alphas who fuck them all? I dont want to settle down with family. • Reply•Share › Avatar Former Banger Lester Maul • 2 days ago Because Roosh is getting old. You degenerates are going to have to grow up too sometime. Your dystopian delusions of babe banging grandeur won't work anymore when you look like Yoda. 13 • Reply•Share › Avatar Bob Former Banger • 2 days ago Ok fair enough but what's an aging man to do? Settle down with one of these hambeasts? Live alone in emptiness? What should he do? • Reply•Share › Avatar Smart Alex Bob • 2 days ago Be rich and keep fucking 22 year olds till you die 2 • Reply•Share ›

A lot of Roosh’s old fans — like “Former Banger” there — are sympathetic to his new direction. But clearly not all of them. Alexa (an admittedly imperfect cataloguer of web traffic) also suggests that Roosh’s sites are losing steam, and losing readers. He’s still a long way from irrelevant, but he gets closer every day.

No wonder Roosh is so grumpy.

@PI: Wow, that quote. There’s not a shred of self-awareness when he writes “forget to check their privilege”.

Wow. That’s all I can say.

(Also, I should really have remembered that thread. I posted in it and all.)

Yeesh. When even your pickup artist followers say “your drowning in hate” you may have a problem.

“Taliban” is also just a generic (if outdated) nickname for violent ultra-fundies. Like how common nicknames for the Tea Party were the American Taliban and Tealiban.

@policy of madness yaaas i’m 100% with you, but it’s also true that the point of those claims that “rape is about ______” is more like “rape is NOT about men being unsble to control their sexual urges”. But you’re completeky right, too many things contribute to rape culture and many different factors cause men to rape (women’s actions not being one of those factors)

But you should read the article, it’s very good and it deals with a big aspect of rape culture that does not get the attention it deserves.

And btw people disagreeing with policy of madness: they never said there is no power dynamics in rape or rape culture, they just said that different things motivate men to rape. The point is that entitlement is not a conscious thing, and women havebeen sexually objectified to SUCH an extend that it often normalizes whatever sexual abuse they face, so much that men often dont even realise what they did was rape, so much that women often don’t realise they’ve been abused. It’s far too complex to say “rape is abou x”, period. Not all rapists get off on the idea of having the power to abusing someone, period.

The thing you’re missing in the argument is that the rapist’s sense of entitlement is a power thing.

Yes, but that’s not the argument being made.

Permit me to quote:

Since Susan Brownmiller first wrote Against Our Will—the landmark feminist reconceptualization of rape—feminists have worked on clarifying the fact that rape is less about sex than it is about rage and power. Too many people still conceive of rape as a man’s overwhelming urge to enjoy the body of a woman who has provoked him by being attractive and within reach.

[…]

But seen from a woman’s own point of view, rape is quite different: It’s punishment for daring to exist as an independent being, for one’s own purposes, not for others’ use. Sexual assault is a form of brutalization based, quite simply, on the idea that women have no place in the world except the place that a man assigns them—and that men should be free to patrol women’s lives, threatening them if they dare step into view.

This is the argument with which I disagree: that men rape for the purpose of expressing power, and that this is their only motivation, ever.

You’re injecting nuance into the sex = power formulation that doesn’t ordinarily exist, and certainly doesn’t exist as it is outlined in this article.

Again, when you take this position and insist it is true all the time, you give rapists for whom the expression of power was not a motivation an out. I know this is true because I have encountered it personally in my life.

Rape may require a power imbalance, and intrinsically embody that imbalance (and I believe this to be true), but “rape = power” is talking about motivation. Rapists’ motivations actually vary, because they are different people with different ideas! I am not interested in giving them more excuses to believe that what they did wasn’t rape. The larger rape culture already gives them plenty.

Hey David

Is this worth a post?

Article by Julie Bindel. It’s about “No platform” policies and mentions that Milo chap you’ve written about before.

It’s interesting that Julie complains that she’s being silenced by men, but when you read her other articles it’s clear that by “men” she means trans women.

Here’s another Grauniad article that may be of interest. Neil Strauss, former PUA guru and author of “The Game” grows up: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/oct/10/neil-strauss-the-game-book-truth

”It’s solely up to us men to shield their natural virtue so that they become the wives and mothers that allow you to fulfill your biological destiny while furthering the health of your society.”

HOLY SHIT. So women shouldnt have sex before marriage. But hey these guys want to have sex with many women. How does this work?

I hope that he is aware of the fact that most people (men and women) have some partners and wont ”save” themselves in order to be a good, pure sexual object that breeds the children for some ”alpha mal”.

Yep, old Alexa used to be real good at cataloguing web traffic; used to be she could do 3, even 4 loads of web traffic before sundown. Now her leg’s been acting up so she can’t catalogue like she used to, but damned if she lets that keep her away from all that web traffic.

“but one thing is consistent: Roosh doesn’t think women have the right to control their own lives.”

Because back then he did not get any and today he is still not getting any other despite years of all this red pill snake oil.

Okay, maybe he is blowing some of that snake oil money on hookers or meth addicts but even that would hurt his precious ego since they only do it for the money and that he view them as working-class filth.

Same thing with his fandom, if women were so easy to bang, the internets would be free of their epic bitch fest.

The whole good wives and mothers for their children, love that sad excuse from self-admitted bang readers.
Nope dude, not unless your child is going to be Jesus´s half-brothers or sisters!

One half of them thinks banging 22 year olds until you die is the way to go. The other half believes in taking control to rebuild traditional family life. Two very conflicting ideas.

Who would bang Roosh anyway? Has any woman he’s ever been with actually spoken on somewhere? I’d be interested in hearing their stories.

Is there any proof for having raped anyone?

@Lurky | October 9, 2015 at 5:23 pm
He thinks he’s white, some people over-concerned with so-called “whiteness” thinks, he is, other think, that he isn’t. No-one here gives a flying fuck, whether he’s “white” or not. The article is about him writing and saying misogynistic garbage.

@Christine | October 9, 2015 at 8:06 pm
Sounds like Roosh V inverted.

@Ashley | October 10, 2015 at 3:58 pm
That’s not necessarily a contradiction. One way to do both is being the tin pot dictator he wants men to be at home and shag lots of “22 year-olds” on the side (because, according to douchebags like him, a man shagging someone except his spouse is OK, but a woman shagging someone else except her spouse is totally evil).

______________________________________________________________________

He apparently wants men to be something like little dictators over their wives and members of their households. How disgusting. This guy makes me want to puke more than I can eat (and he most likely continues to kiss the asses of people, who consider him subhuman because of him being of Armenian descent).

He admitted to raping a woman in Bang Iceland.

He said in the book that the condition the woman was in, she was drunk, would constitute rape, but he did it anyway.

Boris,

What PI said. And to be clear, we didn’t read the idea of “rape” into the situation based on his description: he’s uses the word “rape” himself.

Ashley,

I don’t think we’ve heard from any of his partners. While we do know he’s a rapist (see above), I’m sure there are also women who “banged” him by choice. He’s pretty good-looking when he’s not drenched in grease, and his early writing, while stuffed with malaprops and hatred, has a weird energy to it that leads me to think he probably was once a fairly charismatic conversationalist before fatigue and bitterness overwhelmed him. I doubt anyone is glad they banged him but I can believe people did.

@Aris Boch

Let’s see, how could one possibly find more information about the subject of a post on a blog that categorizes posts with tags?

This internet, it’s so hard! Let me expect other people to explain stuff to me, rather than expending even one second thinking about it for myself!
