Here’s my segment from The Majority Report yesterday

I talked to The Majority Report’s Matt Binder about Men’s Rightsers, PUAs, MGTOWs, and the rest, as well as about some of the attempts of white supremacists to recruit in the manosphere (and vice versa). Enjoy!

My point in writing Churchill was to say that it’s possible for people who disagree to have reasoned, civil conversation.

Just because you aren’t swearing and name calling, doesn’t mean you’re being civil. You’re coming into a space in which you’ve previously banned and you’re being really tedious. You’ve apparently made up a spam post with 40 (!) links to your own stuff. You’re posting several times here without actually saying much of anything. That’s actually really rude and obnoxious behavior.

If you want to make a point, just make it. Do it succinctly. David and several commenters have requested that you be more brief and to the point. If you actually cared about being civil, you’d rein it in a bit.

Also, a President Obama quote? Really? Of course you didn’t link to the source, but I expect he was referring to the GOP strategy of filibustering and blocking absolutely everything, even routine things that they previously supported because the country actually functioning takes a backseat to attempting to destroy Obamas presidency.

This has absolutely no relevance to you and your habit of being tedious and boring people here. This is isn’t some grand battle you’re fighting and the future of the country doesn’t depend on it. I doubt the President knows what the manosphere even is, but as someone who is generally an ally of feminism (such as making the Lily Ledbetter act a priority) I really don’t think he’d have your back here. Don’t compare yourself to Barack Obama in order to tone police feminists. It isn’t cute.

Oh hey Obsidian, how’s life? Hope you’re doing well. Hard to believe it’s really been two years. Time goes by so quickly, y’know?

Anything new on your end of the pond? Some sort of… Oh. Hm. I guess not really. But you seem to like who you are, so I guess, carry on.

And here:

Louis CK, “The Fat Lady” & Assortative Mating: Happy Together?
http://www.justfourguys.com/louis-ck-the-fat-lady-assortative-mating-happy-together/

“Of course, some other people have mentioned various sex toys, but I’m assuming you mean an alternative to get a real, live woman in bed with you.”

Correct.

“Like what?”

Please see above.

“It’s an ongoing process. We’re not just going to become equal to men overnight. The Patriarchy wasn’t Dismantled in a Day.”

Right. Yet, Mr. Futrelle demands this of the Manosphere. Why??

“Well, we’ve gotten women the right to vote, to get a college education, the right to marry who we want, the right to have sex with who we want (though we’re still working on the stigma surrounding that), the right to own property, ect.”

All of whom I for one whole heartedly support.

“What has the manosphere done besides try (and fail) to organize conventions and such?”

Correction: it has indeed successfully organized a major conference last year, and what it has done for me personally, is that it has validation my concerns lo these many years. It has supported me in finding my voice. It has crystallized my life purpose.

“Really? Because I think that you, as a black working class man, owe that to the Civil Rights Movement, not the Manosphere.”

Actually, as a life long Black workings class blue collar trades unionist (none of which you have ever experienced), I must respectfully disagree. The civil rights movement hasnt done anywhere near as much for me as many would like to believe, and the Manosphere has given my concerns, and me personally, a voice that the civil rights movement simply wasn’t concerned with.

“Though, you’re more than welcome to post a list of things that the Manosphere has done for men. I’d love to see it.”

Please see above.

“Considering most of “men’s issues” are taken seriously, and that a majority of what the manosphere lists as “men’s issues” are either non-issues or “I just want feminists to shut up and let me hit/rape/fuck women when I want”, I don’t think I’m out of place here to ask for an elaboration on this point.”

Not at all; I again refer you to my list of articles and podcasts. Thank you! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

“Again, elaboration. For someone who’s so verbose, you sure do manage to say a hell of a lot of nothing.”

Certainly. When I was injured on the job, which would prove to be career-ending, I was treated like a used paper plate – thrown away and tossed aside. I had to fight in the courts for my settlement and pension, for years. I endured tremendous pain for more than a year of grueling therapy – therapy and medical treatment my job tried to deny me in the first place. This, after years and years of dutiful service on the job, to the tune of 65-70 hours a week, routinely. What happened to me happens to men all the time, and our culture and society is completely cool with that. Nor is it unique to the blue collar classes – it happens to military vets, too. We all know of the proverbial homeless vet living under a bridge after coming home from fighting in this nation’s latest adventure overseas. This is the male disposability Prof. Warren Farrell talks about, and which Mr. Futrelle rarely if ever mentions (he’s too busy doing scurrilous “journalism” focusing on the latest rantings of 4Chan or Reddit).

“However, in terms of “disposability”, I’d like to cover a few things:

– Men tend to do more risky things that women.
– Men tend to dominate more risky fields, and shove women out (and then the manosphere whines that women don’t want said risky jobs)”

I don’t disagree with the first point, and as for the second, I can vouchesafe for what the ‘sphere says – my job was a PC-addled place, wide open for the ladies to come on board. And we did indeed hire quite a few – NONE of them stayed for more than a month or two, and do you know why? They couldn’t hack it. They couldn’t do the work, couldn’t handle the hours, couldn’t hack the working conditions (worked in a cold environment year round), etc. Simply put, most women do not want to work in the trades and such. I can say this from more than two decades of on the job experience.

“While I would very much agree with you on this point, I think we’d disagree on what the cause of said issues are.

A lot of these are due to toxic masculinity, specifically the idea that men asking for help is considered “weak” and something to mock.”

And something that the Manosphere itself has taken great strides to address – hence the rise of the pickup/seduction community, AVFM’s “An Ear for Men” initiative, and the MGTOW movement.

““Heightism” isn’t a thing. A woman saying “I like to date men taller than me” isn’t a hate crime, nor is it some sort of sign of bigotry. She’s not saying you’re a lesser person for being short, she’s saying she’s just not into short dudes.”

Please see supportfortheshort.org and come back; we’ll have further conversation on this point.

Obsidian

“That isn’t to say she wouldn’t date a shorter dude if they clicked really well, or that she was being 100% honest because a guy was nagging her for a reason for her to not like him, because she can’t just say “no thank you” and be left in peace, which is often the case when it comes to dating, in my experience.”

Again, something that the pickup community counsels men and something I’ve always been a staunch supporter of; if a woman doesn’t want to be bothered, she doesn’t owe you a reason or an explanation. You must accept that it is her right to reject you for whatever reason she likes, end of. Such, is life.

But, since we’re on the topic, it is also the right of men to make it crystal clear as to which women he finds sexually attractive, and which he does not; he does not need to offer any explanation for it, nor is he obligated to be “nice” to women who fail the make the cut. They too, must accept that men have the right to reject said women for being less than the fellas find to their liking.

Interestingly enough, in my personal experience, it is not the guys, but the gals, who do NOT like being told these things.

“For instance, I’m really into blonde guys. Does that mean I only date blonde guys? No, it’s just a preference. If I met a brunette guy who I clicked really well with (and it has happened before), then I’d be inclined to date them.

It’s not about what I must have in a partner, its just things I find attractive on human beings.”

Then, we shouldn’t have anything to say about Roosh’s preference, or Heartiste’s, or some Black men who prefer lighter skinned Black women, or Black women who don’t have kids, and so forth – right?

“Elaborate please.”

Certainly: Roe For Men.

“Because, if my assumptions based off of other manospherians are correct: You mean you want to be able to force a woman to have a pregnancy instead of getting an abortion, or you want more of a say of what goes on with a body that is not yours, which is a whole other topic of conversation.”

Your assumptions are faulty, and I’d be very curious as to which manospherians you’ve talked to about these matters? Please include a link or two? As for myself: I want men to enjoy the same right to determine when and under what circumstances they will become parents, that has nothing in the least to do with their private (read: sexual) lives – that women currently and historically (four decades running, at this point) enjoy. Nothing more, nothing less.

“Considering that we’d rather boot girls out of class for “breaking dress code” than expect boys to not gawk at girls for showing a bit of shoulder in 90 degree weather, I’d say that this one is already taken care of.

In fact, we take boys’ education so seriously, that we’d rather jeopardize girls’ education to make sure they’re learning properly!”

Your sensationalism aside, the education issue impacting on Black boys in particular, is particularly dire. More here:

Roland Martin Exposes The “My Brother’s Keeper” Haters

“You have a higher chance of actually being raped than to be falsely accused of it.

And if that’s not good enough for you, here’s a Stanford article on the subject.”

Much appreciated; but the point is made, routinely and historically, in fact: Black men are constantly falsely accused of rape charges. This is well documented, so need to provide links, yes?

http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-and-opinion/cover-story/Doing-the-best-i-can-talks-with-poor-urban-dads-unwed-fatherhood-211092101.html

“Good, then we agree on that point as well. But, again, I think we disagree on the source of the problem. I point, once again, to toxic masculinity and the idea that being hit by a woman is considered “weak”, and asking for help is something to mock.”

Then again you would be mistaken; it’s not “toxic masculinity” that doesn’t take the matter seriously, it’s society as a whole that doesn’t – as my articles on the matter clearly attests to:

All right, I’ve had enough.

No, I’m not going to address any of Obsidian’s points. I’m not going to address them for the same reason I won’t debate someone on the morality of necrophilia in the middle of my grandmother’s funeral.

I am, however, tired of this Gishiest of gallops clogging up the recent comments log.

David, please just go ahead and ban this guy.

“Christ almighty.

Dude, you do know that when you spam the shit out of me, I don’t actually read your spam, right? You’re not entitled to my time and attention. You have to earn it. You don’t earn it by treating me, as a reader, like shit, which is what you do when you post this way.”

You know, for a group of people who tout being so very enlightened, you certainly do talk a lot about “entitlement” – something I never considered to begin with. I think you may be projecting.

Eh, it’s not like it helped much last time and I see two years haven’t changed anything. That’s pretty wild. I’d comment but honestly, sorry, I just… let me sum up my resposne in a short sentence.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh“.

What the hell do you actually want, Obsidian? I can see you got injured and apparently treated badly in court, that fucking sucks, I hope it all worked out for you. You want to be allowed to have sex with people you’re attracted to? That’s fine. I think most people can fucking agree that’s how things work.

but then there’s these odd nuggets just embedded in your text that makes me go “What the hell?” Roe For Men? What, like paper abortions on a whim becaus that makes sense for equality? How does that make sense for equality? It doesn’t make sens for equality. There’s no fucking comparision point between paper abortions and actual abortions. Women have high standards and can say no to a man for any reason and you want that same right? Go ahead. Occulus Rift will be hacked by porn-hackers and this new VR porn will make thousands and millions of women upset and destitute because their standards are too high? What? How does that fit in with everything else? You got a revenge motiff all tangled up in your perfectly reasonable statement of being allowed to have preferences!

God, man, just… what do you want? Why are you here? What has changed since last time? Apparently NOTHING.

Haven’t we made it clear to Obsidian that we had no interest in adressing his teal deers, and yet he really seems interested in having us answer to him?
So I really must ask:

if a woman doesn’t want to be bothered, she doesn’t owe you a reason or an explanation

Does that only count for “game”? Otherwise you can insult women if they don’t want to talk to you?

Catalpa

The pickup industry has really put a spotlight on the fact that men have not had a service business to cater to their relationship and sexual mating needs, certainly nothing coming anywhere near close to what women have enjoyed for decades, if not longer.

…there’s been a service like PUA lesson for women for decades now? Er, what would that be? Are you just referring to the mythical ability of women to go literally anywhere, say “man I could really go for some sex right now” and automatically be gifted with sex from any man she chooses? Because, for one thing, that doesn’t happen. And for another, if it did, it doesn’t count as a ‘service’.

I don’t expect you to reply coherently, though, because you have failed to address in a meaningful way almost any questions posed of you (spam doesn’t count, bud) and you’ll likely (and thankfully) be banned soon.
