Are these MGTOW graphics literally the most misogynistic things ever made by human hands?

And what exactly do MGTOWs have to offer? Certainly not charm or wit, or the ability to make a poster.
And what exactly do MGTOWs have to offer? Certainly not charm or wit, or the ability to make a poster.

Inspired by a post on GamerGhazi highlighting some terrible MGTOW graphics, I went and took a look in the archives of MGTOW.com, and found a bunch that were even more terrible, including the one above.

Let me ease you into the terribleness, starting with some whiny, self-pitying fat-shaming:

mgsocial_networks

Then let’s watch these guys attempt to reduce women to their sexuality:

mgassets

Apparently they’re mad at Marilyn Monroe, for some reason?

mgmrlyn

And, in the graphic that inspired my headline, here’s some literal dehumanization:

mgbearealman

After that bit of horribleness, let’s end on a lighter note with some of the worst graphic design you’ll ever see outside of A Voice for Men’s Meme Squad.

MGTOWs: Officially beyond parody.

Waaaaaaiiiiiiiit wait wait wait wait!!!! I thought their complaint was that women don’t spend enough or even any time on our looks and that’s why we’re ugly and fat, and so now they graphic-complain about us spending “so much time” on our looks?

And what is palimony?

weirwoodtreehugger

I’ll just go through them one by one, since every one of these is a gem.

I think the first one is my favorite. Women have no interests? If that were true, how come sexist men work so hard to keep women out of every hobby and career they like?

The second is accidentally very revealing. They clearly have divided women into two categories; sex objects and fatties. That’s why they chose someone very conventionally unattractive as their “”average Jane.” Their choice in images for the men is even more revealing. The image they picked for the “average Joe” is clearly a model and is about as good looking as the “hot dude.” They see themselves as superior beings that everyone else things is mediocre, and boy are they bitter about it.

The third one is again revealing. It’s meant to be misogynist, and it is. But it shows how little they think of themselves and other men that they imagine men’s only priorities are sex and affection from “females” and the only thing they have to offer themselves are time and attention.

The fourth one is just silly. Are we only supposed to quote philosophers? Those are the only people who can have an intelligent and interesting thought? A good percentage of famous quotes are from people whose occupation was something other than philosopher. It just reads like the meme maker really wanted an excuse to call Marilyn Monroe (and by extension any woman who admires her) a whore.

The fifth one? Holy crap. I think every one else has this covered already. I will say this. I’m sort of proud of him for using three dot ellipses instead of the usual two or four dots. The ellipses aren’t really used properly. The first one should have been a period and the second one shouldn’t have been there at all, there was no need for any punctuation there. But, it’s progress!

The last one is just a pathetic and childish bit of projection. Who acts more superior than MGTOWs? They are the very embodiment of Dunning-Krueger. I think they are probably the ones who need to follow the advice on the poster.

Hey, let’s give them credit for one thing. They have finally realized that an ellipsis is three dots, not two.

Now on to the memes:

Title meme: Did they realize that they accidentally stated that women provide child support, alimony, and palimony? I mean, if they’re trying to say that women receive child support, alimony, and palimony, then it would also mean that they receive things like “gossip” and “false accusations” and “venereal diseases” and “no interests” and “superficiality” and “mental disease” and “manipulation.” Of course, given that the manosphere is obsessed with spreading “gossip” (i.e. doxxing women they’ve turned against), falsely accusing women by libeling them (a.l.a. Janet Bloomfield) or writing them up on things like RegisterHer, avoiding condoms at all costs (here’s looking at you, Roosh), hating on women (and not much else), physical appearance and “game” and “frame” above all else, diagnosing themselves with mental illnesses and disabilities like Aspergers’ Syndrome, and learning how to better manipulate women into having sex with them, that would actually be pretty accurate.

Meme 1: I like how they assume that the world is divided into incredibly young, thin, and conventionally attractive women and very overweight women and that there are no women in between. Also, I like how they assume that there aren’t any men out there less conventionally attractive than their “Average Joe.”

Meme 2: I actually like this idea that they have. They should stop pestering and creeping relentlessly on every conventionally attractive woman that they come across. If only they would ever put this plan into action….

Meme 3:comment image

Meme 4: Guys, guys, the title “Gonorrhea breath” rightfully belongs to Roosh V., Mr. Raw Dog For Life, He Who Will Not Get an STD Test, The Man Who Once Picked a Mysterious Sore Off of His Penis. Don’t take it away from him. He’ll have to get all new personalized stationary.

But in all seriousness, this stereotype of women manipulating men into hitting them is old, tired, victim-blaming bullshit. I remember seeing a Chris Rock routine where he joked about women allegedly doing it. Seriously, dudes, if you hit her, it’s your fault. Pretending that she egged you on and that she totally asked for it is a classic mark of an abuser. It’s sad to see that this is still an accepted narrative.

Awesome job going your own way there, dudes.

Holy fuck. The one with Marilyn Monroe is the least terrible bit of graphic design in that list.

I’ll be charitable and assume that whoever designed the first and last graphics were colorblind in every way that it’s possible to be colorblind, in addition to having terrible taste in fonts and layout and basically having failed at life in general.

@Paradoxical Intention,

Apparently, the message of that graphic is supposed to be that women of color should abandon their jobs, give up on education, relinquish their right to own property, to vote, indeed all their legal rights, and instead trust all their well being to the beneficence of men whose every word drips with rage and contempt for them.

That these memes earned the title of “the most misogynistic things ever made” will probably just make MRAs more proud of their work, unfortunately

Wow, that is some hate filled BS. “Why don’t women like me?” Because you OPENLY hate women, degrade them, and think of them as nothing more than something ‘to get laid with’.

Scary thing, they circle-jerk each other and try to impress each other with their level of ‘MGTOW-ness’ and create a self fulfilling prophecy – they drag that chain of baggage into a date/RS and blow it up just to prove ‘AWALT’ that they can scurry off and report to their fellow cultists. ‘Hey, look, I was shitty to this woman and she didn’t want to have sex…AWALT….now please give me praise for my actions’.

They are not going their own way. They are going the external validation way – quite the opposite.

@Virtually Out of Touch

MGTOW equals not working, not paying taxes, just living off of one’s parents.

Umm, that’s an eerily accurate description of my life right now.

No offense taken, though. Unlike these mgtow boneheads, I’m perfectly content live my life without the need to harass women.

The irony of the last poster is draw dropping. What on Earth have these men ever worked for in their lives? What?

Ah, a soothing medley of “attitude” fonts on a nice background of Pantone Red 032@&$#% (“Flaming Apoplexy”), which is normally only visible to bees. Well done.

Funny how they go from one extreme to the other, from Nice Guy pedestalizing to angry MGTOW rants about how inferior and lowly and sub-human women are. There’s really no difference between the two. Both methods allow them to avoid looking women in the eye.

@alaisvex

Manipulators usually see everything everyone does as an attempt to manipulate them. That’s how they justify their own manipulating ways.

It’s fairly common when victims stand up to them and warn that they’ll ask for help, abusers see it as a challenge to their authority. They see the victim entering their fight for power, rather than trying to escape from it.

It’s also telling that they chose that “Just give me a reason” phrase, since it’s the go-to threat for violent abusers (physical & threats to loved ones), rather than manipulators…

@SFHC: That ’70s Show used Boecklin as their title font? Interesting, especially since it’s not a ’70s font: it’s a 1904 Art Nouveau font. (It’d’ve been funny if they used the hated-by-font-fanciers Souvenir, which is from about 1914 but was the ’70s equivalent of Papyrus for sheer overuse.)

I also wish I was optimistic enough to say these were the most misogynistic things out there– because even if they are, they’ll probably be surpassed sooner than we like.

Also… “gonorrhea breath”?! What are these guys, 12?

I love how many of these just feel like comebacks they wish they’d said when they had the chance. “If I’d called her ‘gonorrhea breath,’ that would have shown her!”

See? This kind of misognist garbage is why women avoid you like the plague.

They could have at least used pics like these:

Attention MGTOW of wherever: Claiming you’re superior to women does not make you that. FTFY.

Also, Marilyn wasn’t a whore, she was an actress. A very underrated one, much more intelligent than her screen personae. She was also a leftist and a fan of Lincoln Steffens who narrowly missed being called on the carpet by HUAC.

And you fuckers are not philosophers, either. You’re not even good at making memes. You cannot express a thought eloquently or concisely, because you haven’t a thought WORTH expressing. Please DO go away, and don’t expect “likes” from any woman…you won’t be missed! We are not going to work or vie for your attention. EVER. We’re too busy with worthwhile pursuits. And you are not on the agenda.

A lot of women have says quotes from Marilyn Monroe on their Facebook pages. I think one of the most common ones (‘something something if you can’t take me at my worst, then you don’t deserve me at my best something something’) is mis-attributed. But that’s probably where the animosity comes from.

Every time I picture an MGTOW member, it’s often some 30-40something unshaven, haggard, pizza roll-eating, Natty Lite-swilling slob living in his parents’ basement or garage, apathetic to becoming gainfully employed (can’t have the wimmen get our wallets now when we don’t have dough) and blogging about his disdain for all the pretty women who’d rejected his greasy advances. Thus, the sweeping proclamation to “go (his) own way.”
