And we return once again to the Red Pill subreddit, where the locals are finding intellectual inspiration in the manifesto of one slightly problematic Norwegian, er, thinker — Anders Breivik, a far-right, antifeminist ideologue who decided to promote this manifesto by murdering 77 people with guns and a bomb.
Dudes, when you find yourself saying “Lisa Simpson needs to be punched in the face, but this neo-Nazi mass murderer makes some good points” it might be time for you to sit down and clear your head and rethink your entire fucking life.
H/T — r/TheBluePill, for the second time today.
I am Danish. I know people who lost a Family member to that homocidal excuse for a human being. Those Redpillars make me SICK…
Ug, yes cause government intervention automatically leads to the complete loss of freedom just look at Canada, the UK, the Nordic nations…just HUGE losses of freedom there ~rolls eyes~
Did these dudes actually agree to give up their lives? If they are US citizens, there is no longer a draft, and women join the army too.
There is just so much wrong with what these guys thing. The very frame is beyond wrong.
“We must avoid political dictatorship and limited freedoms by taking away half the population’s freedom and right to influence politics. We must avoid theocratic barbarism by adopting their theocratic and barbarous ways!”
Seriously, do these bros even logic? Women don’t need to hold the gates open, the barbarians are already here; and they always have been.
And yes. It’s very interesting to note who they consider bad and good. Outspoken, liberated, assertive and intelligent women (or 8 year old girl cartoon versions thereof) – “Silence the horrible man-hating uppity bitch harpies! Smack ’em up!” A totalitarian/fascist mass (child) murdering misogynist nazi – “Weeeell… what he did was *technically* bad, but hey, man’s got a point. These women and their troublesome freedom, amIright!”
How many of these guys have been drafted since the last draft? None? Okay.
If men “earn” their vote through the draft, not a one of these fools has earned their right to vote.
I don’t think they understand even what the draft IS.
Am I the only one who feels like this person doesn’t really find Breivik’s methods “atrocious” but just says so to make people think he isn’t a mass murderering fuckhead in his fantasies? It’s about ethics in mass murder journalism.
It’s rather telling the comments made here are lifted straight from Peter Thiel’s sentiments that democracy and freedom (his myopic version, of course) are “incompatible.”
…And he ran a company involved in developing surveillance technology…
“Men earn their vote by entering the military draft”
What about the (many) countries with no draft? Should men not be allowed to vote in those countries?
A Land Whale – you are certainly not the only one. It smacks of arse covering, rather than sincere repugnance.
I expect there are lots of these types who fantasise about murdering us – a lot.
An aggrieved and violent man goes on a murdering spree and this is evidence that women are too irrational and immoral to vote? Red pill logic at its finest!
Also, as far as I know, and someone please correct me if I’m wrong, Norway doesn’t make men register with any selective service to vote. So what the everloving fuck does Breivik’s murder spree have to do with “the draft?”
Plus, all the “SJWs” I know are pretty anti war and oppose conscription, so it’s ridiculous that these guys are always so mad at feminism for the draft. It just makes no sense.
Sooo… Add women to the draft too? Problem solved.
(Of course, the draft should be done away with entirely and is deader than disco regardless, but that bit of actual-for-reals logic always pisses them off. Because WIMMINZ CAN’T ARMY.)
The whole draft thing is the most entitled self-centered bit of bullshit the manosphere has to offer as their rationale for their vile, toxic views.
Yes, as things are currently, men must register for the draft, and women do not have to. And while the odds of the draft ever actually being reinstituted are pretty much nil, it could be argued that in a sufficiently dire circumstance, that could theoretically change. And while the whitebread middleclass boys of the MRM would be the most likely ones to clamour for (and, due to their privileged status, acquire) various deferments, it’s at least a theoretically possibility that some MRA, somewhere, might ultimately be called upon to serve.
However, feminists either argue against the draft entirely (if they are devout pacifists) or want to have it apply to both men and women (and want women to have equal opportunity to serve in combat roles, too). In either case, men and women would be equal in terms of duty and sacrifice. It’s only the ardent defenders of strict gender roles that keep this from happening.
So, Doodz: If you want to undo this particular bit of hypothetical, fringe-case unfairness, EMBRACE FEMINISM.
@Nequam
Yeah, please don’t say that. I know patience run thin but be the bigger person.
Is there no low that they won’t sink to? It doesn’t look like it from here.
@Nequam
Dude, no. You’re warned about this constantly. Stop it.
Aaand the post was deleted while I was typing. Oops.
From Wikipedia:
“The barbarian at the gates?” I’m pretty sure the most recent person to kill more than 50 people in a Western country was Breivik. Perhaps they mean the barbarian in the mirror.
I always find it ironic that the same people caterwauling over government “stealing rights and freedoms” are the same ones yelling “Support our Troops” and defending police violence against minorities.
Wonder when this Red Piller will be quoting favorably from Mein Kampf. How can you glean anything positive from someone who murdered scores of people in cold blood? Shows how sick they are.
@leftwingfox:
Well, they’re just worrie about government stealing their rights and freedoms. If government leaves them alone and goes and bothers some other demographic, they’re fine.
How many of these people who claim men must ‘agree to die for the country’ live in nations without drafts. How many of those who live in nations with drafts are ignoring that it also applies to women?
Disgusting but sadly not surprising. Even here within Norway there have been a disturbing amount of people who seem to side with the “oh I disagree with his actions but he had some good ideas” train of thought, even when they know people who have been directly affected.
