I, too, sometimes feel a little sorry for these guys that the tales of toxic masculinity have so infested their brains, and like you, I then say fuck ’em because they aren’t just hurting themselves. They actively accost and abuse strangers on the internet and pollute our society.

That’s one of many places where this analogy breaks down. One must buy a car and MGTOWs understand that. But they believe they’re entitled to young, sweet, conventionally attractive women who are virgins but will still behave like a porno character for them. When women like that aren’t at all interested in them and “average and even fat” women aren’t at all interested either, the rage comes.
A brand new Mercedes won’t just arrive at your doorstep. You have to work, earn money, go to the dealer, probably get credit and then make payments. Hordes of beautiful women aren’t just going to show up and throw themselves at some random guy either. They have to actually make the effort to meet people and be social and they have to do things to make themselves attractive. It doesn’t even have to be tons of money and six pack abs. It can be something like a good personality.
Setting aside the grossness of comparing people to an inanimate object, the analogy doesn’t work for MGTOW because the world is not going to bestow a new Mercedes on you just for existing as a male anymore than it’s going to bestow a harem of youthful and pretty virgins on you just for being a male. It’s more than a little scary that they feel more entitled to human beings than they do inanimate objects though.
