Antifeminist douchenozzles regularly mock feminists for caring about so-called “first world problems” like “manspreading” and rape and systematic gender discrimination. Unlike those trivia-obsessed feminists, those who’ve taken the Red Pill only concern themselves with momentous questions, like the age of a certain fictional spy dude’s onscreen paramour.
On the Red Pill subreddit, the regulars are up in arms over the news that in the upcoming James Bond film Spectre, the main “Bond Girl” will be a woman more or less Bond’s own age, rather than half of it: current Bond Boy Daniel Craig, 47, will be playing opposite 50-year-old hag lady Monica Bellucci.
I know, right?
In a post with 145 upvotes and 178 comments so far, Bea_OProblem reports sadly that Bond — James Bond — will be “paired with [a] post-wall woman,” the hideous uggo Belluci.
Movie executives have got the memo that pandering to alimony laden post-wall consumers is a lucrative cash cow. In this distinctly blue pill universe, the mysterious and suave international spy wants no one other than a 51 year old woman. Because apparently a mature woman is more alluring than a dozen young pert sluts.
Apparently Bea was so horrified by the news that he added a year to Belucci’s age; Google says she’s 50.
Adding insult to injury, Craig told Esquire magazine that he hopes his Bond won’t be “as sexist and misogynistic” as his predecessors in the role. “The world has changed,” he said.
Red Pillers are not taking the news well. After taking a glance at the picture above, one Red Piller reacted as though he’d seen the dead come to life:
Some thought that Bellucci, only three years Craig’s senior, looked less like his love interest than his mom.
Others railed at the manginas who enabled this horrible thing to happen:
To be sure, a few brave souls acknowledged that Ms. Bellucci might not be the ugliest old lady they’d ever seen, but they were still having none of it.
In the real world, for what it’s worth, Daniel Craig is married to 45-year-old actress Rachel Weisz. Because, in the real world, not all men are obsessed with “bedding” women young enough to be their daughters.
Many of the assembled Red Pillers tried to convince their comrades that they personally Would Not Bang Ms. Bellucci, except perhaps in conditions of poor lighting.
Regardless of their personal answer to the WB question, almost all agreed that this was pretty much the end of the world.
I don’t know about you, but Mila Kunis as Rambo sounds kind of awesome to me.
Better question: “When was the last time women organized something for women and it didn’t get invaded by men?”
Now, I’ll be the first to admit I know very little about the history of Bond girls… but really? Bond was a “womanizer,” not a “player.” I can’t imagine there would be no sex interests over 30 in any of the films or books.
Bond never was the avatar of their particular brand of misogyny.
@freemage:
Wow. I didn’t think it was that big of a difference. I can’t remember — does Marion say she was fifteen in the film? I think she does.
“When was the last time something inherently female was invaded by men”
*points aggressively at the My Little Pony fandom*
If you want to be “realistic” James Bond should be about 97 by now. Seems to me that at 50 she’s actually a little young for him.
If the dudes commenting are largely in their teens and twenties, it does make sense that they would personally find Bellucci too old to be sexually attractive. It makes zero sense for them to be offended that a man in her same age group would find her attractive though. People’s tastes do actually evolve as they age. It also doesn’t make sense for them to imagine that Bond is for young men only. Do they not realize that Bond movies have been around since the sixties? My baby boomer parents used to watch on TV when I was a kid.
@estraven, Paradoxical Intention,
They beat you to it:

Two years ago, a wise woman said that M.I.A. should play the next James Bond. I thought she was speaking in hyperbole but time has proven her correct.
@ Kirby
I am a fan of the original Bond books.
Wracking my memory I can’t think of any situations where he gets involved with a woman much younger than his current age in the books. There’s a couple of instances of him eyeing up some younger women but there’s usually an aside that she’ll ‘grow’ into somebody he fancies. In the books he’s more into experienced women than ‘girls’ (his words, not mine!)
Ah, but that’s because videogames are and have always been a purely male safe space where women were never, ever, ever involved and had no part in creating, either on the artist or the consumer side and thus it’s them invading male space just like they’ve taken over Bond and Hollywood and government and all of society and men have nothing but mammoth corpses!!!
Which is admittedly its own kind of creepy.
Feminism is definitely something men have tried to invade. How often do we hear “what about the men” whines when we try and discuss feminist issues?
I’d also like to reiterate that my mom was watching Bond movies before the vast majority of red pill redditors were even born, so the idea that their boys club is being invaded by older women is pretty hilarious.
There’s one time when a really young woman throws herself at Roger Moore’s Bond and he has to duck her advances.
I’d be inclined to pin some of the blame of pairing up Bond with women half his age on the typical trend of doing that with romantic leads in Hollywood.
My mother-in-law likes a Bond film now and then. My own mum can’t stand ’em.
It’s explicit in the novelization. In the movie, she just says, “I was a child!” in the scene at the bar (he retorts with “You knew what you were doing!” so that’s a scene that now makes my skin crawl). However, if you look at script notes (and the novel), it’s stated that they met twelve years prior to the bar-encounter, and she’s just now 27, and he’s 37.
Mind you, it could’ve been worse. In leaked transcripts of the early script discussions *Passes out buckets* Lucas proposed making her a “promiscuous” 11-year-old.
A woman playing Rambo would be awesome, the collective rage storm that would cause among assorted red pillers and MRA’s would something to behold.
@ Katz
It’s implied the women are in their early 20s, so that’s no too bad. The Bond of the books tends to go for women who are old enough to have either been married or at least had time to get a worldly. Naivety and ‘innocence’ puts him off. Because of the nature of his job (and to an extent his personality) he only gets involved with women who are also just up for a bit of fun rather than a relationship. In book Bond world that tends to be the more older women.
@ Falconer
Roger Moore passed on Bond after View to a Kill because they’d paired him up with someone young enough to be his daughter.
@Freemage
well now THATS super creepy ::goes to find the brain-bleach and the brain-steel wool:: you know, the more I learn about George Lucas the more I understand why the romantic relationships between all his characters seem so…off ::shudder::
@freemage:
Thank you.
Goddammit Lucas.
It seems that red pillers are terrified of confidence and experience. Two things that can prevent their form of abuse from working.

Imagine a Bond-ified version of the “car chase” in that recent Fiat commercial…
@inadvertantfeminist I actually thought Rambo was a woman as a kid, since I only saw pics of him wearing shirts and Princess Vespa was compared to him. I thought he was the most badass, ripped lady ever.
You know, they look a lot like George and Amal. IOW, they look about right.
